Only the Saviour

Topic: The Only Saviour.

Memory Verse: Philippians 2:10. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

Bible Reading: Acts 4:10-12. TPT. Key Verse: v12.

you and everyone else in Israel should know that it is by the power of the name of Jesus that the crippled man stands here today completely healed! You crucified Jesus Christ of Nazareth, but God raised him from the dead. This Jesus is ‘the stone that you, the builders, have rejected, and now he has become the cornerstone!’ There is no one else who has the power to save us, for there is only one name to whom God has given authority by which we must experience salvation: the name of Jesus.”

Man ran into trouble because of the sin of disobedience through Adam. After God created, blessed and gave him everything that he needed to be comfortable, he was deceived by the devil who entered a crafty serpent to make sure man compromised his stand before his maker. God had no choice but to drive man out of Eden, a place rest to the world which is a place of survival of the fittest. Not only that, man lost his position of rulership and began to suffer maltreatment at the hands of the devil. God in his love refused to give up on man. By the sacrifice of Jesus Christ who submitted himself to the point of death to save mankind, God is able to rescue them that believe. “Then flew one of the seraphim unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” Isaiah 6:6-8.

Jesus Christ came to the World to redeem man from sin, and the consequences of sin and restore all we lost to Satan through his shed blood on the cross where he died for us to live. The old order of his earthly ministry days was upset by his popularity and style, as the people chose to follow him, making themselves look redundant. They envied and did everything to frustrate or Stop him but couldn’t. Finally, they were able to kill him, not knowing that he would become more effective and impactful after his death. They didn’t know that the one who raised the dead had power over death. After he arose from the dead, he handed over his ministry to the men he had trained for about three years, before leaving. “He answered, “The Father is the one who sets the fixed dates and the times of their fulfilment. You are not permitted to know the timing of all that he has prepared by his own authority. But I promise you this—the Holy Spirit will come upon you and you will be filled with power. And you will be my messengers to Jerusalem, throughout Judea, the distant provinces—even to the remotest places on earth!” Acts 1:7-8.

After the disciples of Jesus were filled with the power of God at Pentecost, they began to wax strong in the assignment. They testified about Jesus everywhere they went with signs and wonders following. Every effort that was put up by the priests using political power or the rulers to intimidate and stop them was futile. After Peter and John healed the lame beggar by the beautiful gate when going for prayers in the temple, the people gathered and they had to let them know that the healing was by the name of Jesus Christ whom they rejected and crucified. The chief priests were not done after they made sure they killed Christ, they detained these disciples and brought them before the judgment seat of the rulers of the land just for preaching and teaching about Jesus. Peter moved by Spirit had to let them know the mind of God which stands forever. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none another name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12. Today, we must recognise the fact that no man or power anywhere in the world can save, us except Jesus Christ, the son of God who died for our sins. Even today, in his name every difficult case must be resolved, if we can believe.

Prayer: Thank you Father God for giving us Jesus to die for us to live indeed. Today no power can quench your light in me. By the power in the name of Jesus I am not only saved, I come out victorious in every battle of life, because I believe in Jesus precious name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

The Beauty of His Mercy

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONAL.

Wednesday 27th of September, 2023.

Topic: The Beauty Of His Mercy.

Memory Verse: Lamentations 3:25. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

Bible Reading: Lamentations 3:21-24. Key Verse:v3.

This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

Everyone under the earth needs the mercy of God if we must amount to anything significant in life. This is because our personal efforts and struggles are not enough to give us the best we desire. We need God to show up in mercy on our behalf to give us that outstanding result that we can’t give ourselves by human efforts alone. One of the men who valued the mercy of God and enjoyed the best of him is King David. “Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.
I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me. He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.” Psalms 57:1-3.

One of the things we should desire from the Lord daily is his mercy. The mercy of God activates forgiveness which in turn releases the umbrella of grace over a man’s life and situation for positive change. The mercy of God in man’s life produces help. When divine help comes your way, there must be a shift and you are bound to sing a new song. Another thing the mercy of God will activate in any life is to activate divine favour. When a man finds favour with God, God will touch men and cause them to favour him. Favour reduces our labour to the barest minimum and shoots up our output to the maximum. Favour can deliver to you even things you seem not qualified for by human standards. The mercy of God also produces hope that cannot disappoint. “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.”

This is the season of God’s mercy. Ask for it and it shall become your portion, seek it and you will find it. Wait on God patiently till he reveals his mercy to you, for he will not tarry. In mercy, the goodness of God is revealed in the lives of them that fear and obey him as a father. It was the mercy of God that turned the pendulum of victory in favour of King Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah against all odds, using singers instead of an army to finish the army of nations. “And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth forever. And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, everyone helped to destroy another.” 2 Chronicles 20:21-23.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for the beauty of your mercy. From today, let me drink from the cup of your mercy all the days of my life. From today, let your mercy deliver to me results that I can’t give myself in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
