Your Case Will Be Different.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Monday June 17th, 2024.

Topic : Your Case Will Be Different.

Memory Verse : John 11:26. And the one who lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Bible Reading : John 11:23-25 TPT. Key Verse : v25.

Jesus told her, “Your brother will rise and live.” She replied, “Yes, I know he will rise with everyone else on resurrection day.” “Martha,” Jesus said, “You don’t have to wait until then. I am the Resurrection, and I am Life Eternal. Anyone who clings to me in faith, even though he dies, will live forever.

The resurrection of Lazarus from the dead was a landmark miracle that made many believe in Jesus Christ. The Bible recorded that Jesus and Lazarus/his family had a very close relationship. Because of that, when Lazarus was sick and dying they sent a message to him, to see if he could be of help. “In the village of Bethany there was a man named Lazarus, and his sisters, Mary and Martha. Mary was the one who would anoint Jesus’ feet with costly perfume and dry his feet with her long hair. One day Lazarus became very sick to the point of death. So his sisters sent a message to Jesus, “Lord, our brother Lazarus, the one you love, is very sick. Please come!” When he heard this, he said, “This sickness will not end in death for Lazarus, but will bring glory and praise to God. This will reveal the greatness of the Son of God by what takes place.” John 11:1-4.

Jesus delayed for about three days from when he got the message before he could start his journey to Bethany to see the one he loved. By the time he arrived bethany, Lazarus was dead and buried for about four good days, which made the situation hopeless before all men. On arrival, Martha was the first to know that he was around and she ran to meet the master. When Martha met Jesus, she acknowledged that if Jesus had come on time, his brother must have lived. Then Jesus began to tell her that Lazarus will live again, which she didn’t understand where Jesus was going as she thought that it was all about resurrecting on the last day. At this point in time, they knew Jesus was the Messiah and they had seen him work miracles, but they couldn’t imagine that a man dead and buried for about four days could resurrect from the dead. Jesus had to try to show them a new dimension of his divinity. That is the dimension of being a creator and the life giving Spirit that gives life to every living soul. “Through him God made all things; not one thing in all creation was made without him. The Word was the source of life, and this life brought light to humanity.” John 1:3-4 GNB.

At the end of the day, Jesus the creator and life giver didn’t need too much explanations, but called Lazarus whose situation looked hopeless before all men back to life. He came out of the grave on his own and lived again at the command of the Lord and to the amazement of all. Today just like Lazarus and his family, you need to understand that your relationship with Jesus Christ secures you and everything you have. Because he is the creator, he can always create anything you desire by your own spoken words and in his name, whatsoever that is good the enemy thought they destroyed in your life shall be restored. This means that your own case will always be different. The implication of all this is that nothing good can die in your hands because of Jesus Christ who has become your friend and life companion by the help of his Spirit residing and at work in you. “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43:2 NIV‬.

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus because your presence in my life makes all the difference. Thank you because nothing good shall die in my hands. Thank you because what stops other men in my lifetime won’t be able to stop me. I worship you because my own case will always be different in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Dying To Self And The World

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Sunday June 16th, 2024.

Topic : Dying To Self And The World.

Memory Verse :‭ Colossians 3:4. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Bible Reading : ‭Colossians 3:1-3 NIV‬. Key Verse : v2.

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

Today we are continuing our journey to look at what it takes to be a follower or disciple of Jesus Christ as believers. Every one that attends our churches believes in Jesus Christ no doubt. But just believing only is not enough because the word of God says that even the devil believes and trembles before him as God. The fact is that believing in him is the first step unto salvation. For that salvation to be effective and have a voice of impact here on earth, we must take another step further to become followers of him that saved us. He saved us from eternal death and destruction, so that we can live for him. To live for Jesus implies following him daily. The church therefore surpose to be a place where men are taught on how to follow Jesus Christ in practicality. The beauty of following the master is that it gives him the right platform to make men. He told Peter after the draught, follow me and I will make you…. The reason many people inside our churches are not being made is because their interest or intention in the first place is never to follow him, but to enjoy his benevolence.

Now looking at Colossians 3, as contained in our text above, another condition that we have to meet as disciples of Jesus Christ is that we have to die with him first in order to live for Jesus Christ. One of the challenges we have today is that some try to jump the process. Truth is that no man who had not been to the cross with Jesus can have a new life in him. The new life will remain a mirage as long as we don’t willingly go to the cross with him just like himself willingly obeyed the father. On the cross we have to crucify our selfish desires and the desires of the world, to be able to keep our minds with him. Christianity becomes a struggle and sometimes fake when this process is ignored.
““My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, and dispenses his life into mine!” Galatians 2:20 TPT.

The proof of this new life; where a man dies to things he loved in the past and reprogram his mind to live to honour Jesus as Lord in reordered priorities is Discipleship. At this point our focus in life changes in entirety. That is what it takes to seek that which are above where Christ himself is seated. If truly we are seated together with him in the heavenly places in the spirit realm, that new placement must affect the way we live and do things daily. ‭”But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus .” Ephesians 2:4-7.

Prayer : Thank you Lord Jesus for for dying to save me so that I can live the rest of my life to follow and serve you. Help me to understand what it means to sit with you in the place of authority. Thank you to touching my heart to love and to follow you daily in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Forming Partnership With The Lord.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Saturday June 15th, 2024.

Topic : Forming Partnership With The Lord.

Memory Verse : John 15:4 So you must remain in life-union with me, for I remain in life-union with you. For as a branch severed from the vine will not bear fruit, so your life will be fruitless unless you live your life intimately joined to mine.

Bible Reading : John 15:1-3 TPT. Key Verse : v3.

“I am a true sprouting vine, and the farmer who tends the vine is my Father. He cares for the branches connected to me by lifting and propping up the fruitless branches and pruning every fruitful branch to yield a greater harvest. The words I have spoken over you have already cleansed you.

The beauty of living for Jesus Christ is in the fruits we bear daily. Before Jesus left the earth, he had a heart to heart talk with his disciples to prepare them for what lay ahead of them in a life without his physical presence which they enjoyed or had gotten used to as at that point in time. Certain factors stands out from his teaching here about being fruitful before the Lord. We will try to look at them one after another. The first factor we need to consider is that we don’t have what it takes to stand on our own in the first place as individuals, just as a branch of a tree or vine can’t stand on it’s own, no matter how good or rich it may be. For it to be sustained, it must stay glued to the stem which supplies the nutrients from the soil by which the branches lives. “”I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me you are powerless.” John 15:5.

We have to understand that God the father is the owner and the one taking care of the daily well being of the tree and branches. He uses his word on us as prunning instrument to keep us in the right or best condition that encourages fruitfulness. He cuts off every fruitless branches, so that the fruitful ones will have the right atmosphere to thrive. Any branch that desires to bear much fruits as demanded by the master must therefore expose itself continously to the cleansing work of the word. This means that the function of the word in our lives changes to meet our specific spiritual needs per time. I say so because in engendering growth and maturity, the word function in us as milk or meat depending on individuals or our level of maturity and spiritual capacity. This is made possible by the power of the Spirit and Life the word carries which is able to detect or discern what we need per time. “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life .” John 6:63 NIV‬.

Another factor as contained here is a life of fellowship. That is the only way we can remain in a life of union with the Lord. In the place of fellowship, we renew our commitment to the master even as we deepen our spiritual intimacy with him. This union makes him a partner or stakeholder in everything that concerns us and provides him with the legal ground to watch over our affairs against the onslaught of the wicked as well as intervene in our affairs at will. This is what qualifies men for uncommon and unexplainable divine help.

“Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your God.I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you.I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you. “Count on it: Everyone who had it in for youwill end up out in the cold—real losers. Those who worked against youwill end up empty-handed—nothing to show for their lives.” Isaiah 41:10-11 MSG

Prayer: Thank you Father God for drawing me closer to yourself so that you can partner with me in the affairs of life. Help me to stay glued to you, so that you can always nourish and prune me. Thank you for for your strength and help upon my life in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Live To Honour The Lord.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Friday June 14th, 2024.

Topic :Live To Honour The Lord.

Memory Verse :‭James 4:10. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Bible Reading : ‭James 4:1-3 NIV‬. Key Verse: v

What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

When you study this James chapter 4 from different translations, you will have a better understanding of the type of relationship God desires to have with man by the help of his Spirit. You will notice that man occupies the center of the heart of God. It pleased God to relate with man on the platform of love. God demonstrated his love by creating everything we can or cannot see to serve the purpose of man, so that the man himself will be in good condition to serve divine purpose. I want to believe that the love God has for mankind is underestimated. We can only fathom it to some good extent when we look at the fact that God himself had to humbly come to the earth as a man, lived among men and finally died painfully on the cross like an ordinary criminal in order to save as many as will believe from everlasting condemnation by restoring them to himself. “For the greatest love of all is a love that sacrifices all. And this great love is demonstrated when a person sacrifices his life for his friends. “You show that you are my intimate friends when you obey all that I command you.” John 15:13-14 TPT.

Having proven his love for us to the point of death, God now expects us to reciprocate by loving him back and living our lives to please and honour him. He desires that we keep himself too at the center of our own hearts. One fact is that the condition of every man’s heart determines what he values or does. Every actions of men originates from the heart. Even our prayer life is also regulated by our heart conditions. When we pray and plan, God himself looks at our underlying intentions. When our intentions are wrong, we will be having much struggles or unanswered prayers. Another angle to it is that God wants us to trust as well as depend on him as our source of supply in times of need. When we are asking from the Lord, our interest or intentions should be driven by the desire to add value to our relationship with God and builds up his kingdom. When we don’t have this understanding, we will be like unfaithful men chasing shadows in the eyes of Lord. “And why not? Because you know you’d be asking for what you have no right to. You’re spoiled children, each wanting your own way. You’re cheating on God. If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God and his way.” James 4:3-4 MSG.

Today, understand that one important key to having a good earthly life is giving Jesus his rightful place in your life and entire scheme of affairs by loving him with all your heart. Anchor your good plans on him. Never you think you can always do it your own way. Don’t be carried away by things of this life that will one day fade away into thin air. The more you humbly obey the Lord recognising his sovereignty in everything you do, the more you are able to walk in the pathways of victory because of his wonderful presence. Never forget that your lifting is in his hands and will start manifesting in full measure when you begin to give him his rightful place in everything you do. Only him can secure your future. “You don’t know the first thing about tomorrow. You’re nothing but a wisp of fog, catching a brief bit of sun before disappearing.” James 4:14 MSG.

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus for loving me so deeply and dying for me. Help me to love you in return with all my heart and strength. Let my decision and everything I do honor you all my days in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Don’t Negotiate With The Enemy.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Thursday June 13th, 2024.

Topic : Don’t Negotiate With The Enemy.

Memory Verse : Mathew 11:12. For a long time now people have tried to force themselves into God’s kingdom.

Bible Reading : ‭Exodus 10:10-12 MSG. Key Verse : v12.

He said, “I’d sooner send you off with God’s blessings than let you go with your children. Look, you’re up to no good—it’s written all over your faces. Nothing doing. Just the men are going—go ahead and worship God. That’s what you want so badly.” And they were thrown out of Pharaoh’s presence. God said to Moses: “Stretch your hand over Egypt and signal the locusts to cover the land of Egypt, devouring every blade of grass in the country, everything that the hail didn’t get.”

At this point in time in divine calendar, it was time for the people of Israel to leave the land of bondage and excruciating pain and move into their Canaan, a place of abundance and fulfillment of divine purpose. The Lord commissioned Moses for this special assignment of liberating the people of God from bondage and bringing them to Canaan that flowed with milk and honey to enable them serve the Lord without encumbrances. Pharaoh king of Egypt was adamant in the face of divine judgement that ravaged him and his people, insisting that the people of God must remain in bondage or go to sacrifice to their God at his own, instead of God’s terms. He only obeyed and released the people of God after God killed all the first born of every creature in Egypt, both humans and animals.

The devil never changes. Truth is that the enemy will want you to wallow in ignorance even as a believer. He will never want you to become whom God designed you to be in the real sense of it. When you wake up to take what belongs to you in the kingdom of God as your birthright, he will not want to give them up easily most time. He will always take some steps to discourage you, so that you can maintain status quo. If that doesn’t work on you, he will take some steps further to place obstacles on your way in his craftiness and desperation to keep you where you don’t belong anymore. “Pharaoh called in Moses: “Go and worship God. Leave your flocks and herds behind. But go ahead and take your children.” But Moses said, “You have to let us take our sacrificial animals and offerings with us so we can sacrifice them in worship to our God. Our livestock has to go with us with not a hoof left behind; they are part of the worship of our God. And we don’t know just what will be needed until we get there.” Exodus 10:24-26.

Today you have to be angry with every situation or power that is trying to shortchange you. They stand as a type of Pharaoh that work against God’s purpose in your life. Some Pharaoh want you to just exist in an incapacitated form, without making any serious impact in life. At other times they want to stand against good things coming your way to divert such. They want to steal your joy, kill your vision and destroy your future. I bet you, some Pharaoh want you dead. Anything that threatens your good future and God’s plan for your life is an enemy that must be met with divine violence. You don’t have any option but to fight your way through using every resources Jesus Christ made available to us by the help of his Spirit. Never you forget that all you need to overcome are given already, all you need is to recognise and mobilise them to get desired results. “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 KJV.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because you are greater and stronger than all. Thank you because you have what it takes to bring to pass every of your good plans for my life. I stand on your promises and subdue any name or power that want to hold me down against your will. Thank you for giving me victory in Jesus wonderful name… Amen 🙏🏿.

True Religion

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Wednesday June 12th, 2024.

Topic : True Religion.

Memory Verse : ‭Luke 10:33. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.

Bible Reading : ‭Luke 10:30-32 NIV‬. Key Verse : v33.

In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.

Jesus Christ was teaching this time and a teacher of the law or a lawyer wanted to tempt him by asking him what he could do to inherit eternal life. Jesus replied, “What does Moses teach us? What do you read in the Law?” The religious scholar answered, “It states, ‘You must love the Lord God with all your heart, all your passion, all your energy, and your every thought. And you must love your neighbor as well as you love yourself.’” Jesus said, “That is correct. Now go and do exactly that and you will live.” Luke 10:26-28 TPT. The lawyer then asked who should be his neighbour. Jesus then had to use the parable of the good Samaritan to explain who a neighbour should be.

The main actor in the parable was a Jewish man travelling from Jerusalem to Jericho when he fell prey to robbers on his way. The robbers mercilessly beat him up and stripped him of every valuable on him. They left him in the pool of his own blood and with life threatening injuries. Two men who were religious leaders passed that route and saw him struggling for his dear life and avoided coming close to help, but passed by the other side of the road. These class of men (the Priest the Levite) by reason of their exposure and training who should known the word of God better avoided getting close to help the needy man. It was only the Samaritan who was considered by the Jews to be outsider to the covenant of Israel that took responsibility and made the much needed sacrifice to save the life of the traveller that he never knew before this particular incident.

“Faith Works My dear brothers and sisters, what good is it if someone claims to have faith but demonstrates no good works to prove it? How could this kind of faith save anyone? For example, if a brother or sister in the faith is poorly clothed and hungry and you leave them saying, “Good-bye. I hope you stay warm and have plenty to eat,” but you don’t provide them with a coat or even a cup of soup, what good is your faith? So then faith that doesn’t involve action is phony.” James 2:14-17 TPT. Today we need understand that true religion is to show care and love just the way the good Samaritan did to a man he never knew. He took the man to the hospital and paid his bills to the last dime, making sure he got proper medical attention at his expense. He was a true neighbour. True religion is demonstrated by love and care.

Prayer : Thank you Lord Jesus for loving and dying to save me. Thank you for teaching me to live like you. Help me to be a true worshipper who loves and care for the well being of others just like yourself. Let my life bless others in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Be An Encourager.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Tuesday June 11th, 2024.

Topic : Be An Encourager.

Memory Verse :‭ Philippians 1:8. God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

Bible Reading : ‭Philippians 1:9-11 NIV‬. Key Verse : v11.

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

Apostle Paul had a very good working relationship with the Philippian Church which he founded during his second missionary journey. Paul was so exceptional on the assignment that he cared for the body of Christ from the prison. He didn’t allow what he passed through to weaken his resolve in the Lord, neither could they slow him down on the assignment. From prison he solicited for prayers in order to be able to reach out to as many as God wanted him to. “Be faithful to pray as intercessors who are fully alert and giving thanks to God. And please pray for me, that God will open a door of opportunity for us to preach the revelation of the mystery of Christ, for whose sake I am imprisoned. Pray that I would unfold and reveal fully this mystery, for that is my delightful assignment.” Colossians 4:2-4 TPT.

The Philippian church on their own was a very caring set of believers. They stood by Apostle Paul when he needed them most, not only with their prayers, but also with their substance. Their behaviour towards him made him to give them a special placement in his heart and he prayed God increase the depths of their revelation in Christ so that they could serve and give more selflessly to kingdom assignment. “You’ve so graciously provided for my essential needs during this season of difficulty. For I want you to know that the Philippian church was the only church that supported me in the beginning as I went out to preach the gospel. You were the only church that sowed into me financially, and when I was in Thessalonica, you supported me for well over a year. I mention this not because I’m requesting a gift, but so that the fruit of your generosity may bring you an abundant reward.” Philippians 4:14-17 TPT.

This end time the Lord wants the Church of Jesus Christ to pick lessons of practical love for one another from the Philippian church. We need to discern the need of fellow believers, especially those going through trying times or serious persecution around us and in distant places. We can always lift them up in our prayers. Not only that, as much as we have opportunity our financial or material support will go a long way to encourage and sustain them. Infact, every believer needs an encourager especially in difficult and trying times. One of the fruits of righteousness the Spirit demands from the body of Christ in our days is to look beyond our territories to care, support and encourage others as much as we have the ability. ‭”“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”” John 13:34-35.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for making me part of your kingdom on earth. From today, help me to live to be an encourager of other men, especially believers at any capacity you place me per time in the kingdom. Let my life bless and lift others to serve you better in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Kingdom Greatness.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Monday June 10th, 2024.

Topic : Kingdom Greatness.

Memory Verse : Matthew 18:4. Whoever continually humbles himself to become like this gentle child is the greatest one in heaven’s kingdom realm.

Bible Reading : Matthew 18:1-3 TPT. Key Verse :v3.

At that time the disciples came to ask Jesus, “Who is considered to be the greatest in heaven’s kingdom realm?” Jesus called a little one to his side and said to them, “Learn this well: Unless you dramatically change your way of thinking and become teachable, and learn about heaven’s kingdom realm with the wide-eyed wonder of a child, you will never be able to enter in.

This time the disciples of Jesus Christ in their inquisitive nature came to him to find out from him what it takes to be great or carry greatness, the kingdom way. He then brought a child close him side as a role model this time and began to teach them that the key to kingdom greatness is controlled by simplicity, love and humility, just like a child. I want to believe that they never expected that because with the eyes or understanding of ordinary men, that should look or sound stupid and out of this world. But that is in line with the word of God which says that God’s ways, thoughts and wisdom doesn’t agree with that of men of this world. ‭”“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”” Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV‬.

Now, I want us to pick some important points for ourselves from the life of a child as taught by Jesus that will help us in our daily walk with Jesus our master. The first thing Jesus wants us to learn from a child here is to be plyable and teachable before him. Jesus gave us a life guide and teacher called the Holy Spirit. Sometimes the leading and instructions of the Holy Spirit to us may not be what we expected as men. If we begin to dissect such with our human understanding or wisdom, we may miss God. Just like a child, we don’t need to dissect divine leading or instructions (when we are sure they are from the Lord), all we need is just to obey to get “, desired results from his presence. Throughout the Bible great men that walked with God stood out from the crowd by hearing and obeying simple instructions from the Lord that sounded foolish to the intellectual mind of an ordinary man. Imagine the people of Judah waiting on God in fasting and prayer for three days under the leadership of King Jehisaphst seeking help to overcome their enemies and God instructing them to approach a war front with singers instead of soldiers.

Another dimension to kingdom greatness I want us to observe here from the life of a child beside humility that is loud in the main text is love. ‭”Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-5, 7 NIV‬. King James in v5 says that love believes all things because of trust just like a child. The child hardly gives it a second thought when you give him hope of what to expect. Even when it doesn’t materialise on time, the child will never give up trusting. Unshakeable loyalty to God that comes from a humble heart is always a bye product of love for the Lord. That is when a man can say, even if he slays me, I will keep following him.

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus for giving me your Spirit to help me walk in the paths of greatness with you. Help me to have the mindset of a child in my daily walk with you. As I follow divine instructions in humility and love, let my life be filled with testimonies of your goodness all my days in Jesus wonderful name… Amen 🙏🏿.

Love and Forgiveness.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Sunday June 9th, 2024.

Topic : Love and Forgiveness.

Memory Verse: Mark 11:26. But if you will not release forgiveness, don’t expect your Father in heaven to release you from your misdeeds.”

Bible Reading : John 13:34-35 TPT. Key Verse : v35.

“So I give you now a new commandment: Love each other just as much as I have loved you. For when you demonstrate the same love I have for you by loving one another, everyone will know that you’re my true followers.”

This period on Sundays we are looking at the need for us not just to be ordinary worshippers, but to step up in boldness to become disciples of Christ indeed. That is God’s will for us and the main reason God had to appear on earth in the flesh….not only to save, but also to raise men or followers unto himself. Last week, I mentioned that one of the tragedies of Christianity in our days is that many fill our churches with misplaced priorities. They just want to solve some problems by the help of the Lord without any desire or intention to follow him or become his disciples. Now I want us to start looking at those qualities we must possess if we are true followers of Jesus Christ. Today we shall be looking at only two of those very important characteristics of a disciple. The two are love and forgiveness and they work hand in hand. Anywhere there’s genuine love, forgiveness becomes easy.

Now looking at love who I can say fathers forgiveness, Jesus taught us that our standard for love is himself and not any other person. In John 13: 34 he taught us expressly that every love and care we received from him as our source and king, we are to extend to other men we meet in the course of our lives on earth. He went further to explain in the next verse that when we love and show enough care for one another, men will know by our actions that we are followers of the master. “Delightfully loved ones, if he loved us with such tremendous love, then “loving one another” should be our way of life! No one has ever gazed upon the fullness of God’s splendor. But if we love one another, God makes his permanent home in us, and we make our permanent home in him, and his love is brought to its full expression in us. And he has given us his Spirit within us so that we can have the assurance that he lives in us and that we live in him.” 1 John 4:11-13.

One of the determinant factors of the presence of love as a lifestyle in any man or believer is the ability to forgive just like the master himself. In some occasions in the Bible, we had situations where men were terribly sick because of sins they committed, Christ forgave them on seeing their predicament, so that they could be healed, Luke 5:17-23, John 5:1-14. Again the people caught a woman in the act of adultery and wanted Jesus approval to stone her to death according to the laws of Moses. Rather than consent, Jesus made sure the people left her alone by demanding that any one of them who had no sin, should cast their stone first on the woman. After they dispersed, Jesus forgave her and told her to go and sin no more, John 8:3-11. Now I must point out that one the commonest sin found among believers of all class is unforgiveness, Matthew 18:21-22 . Lastly, there three things unforgiveness will do to any man, especially believers. They are : (1) Unforgiveness brings retardation to many believers in life in whatever they do and sometimes sickness. (2) It will be a hindrance to your prayers from being heard or answered. (3) No man who leaves this earth bearing unforgiveness can see Jesus in victory.

Prayer : Thank you Lord Jesus because whom you love you always instruct. From today, give me a heart that loves just like yourself. Help me to always forgive fellow men any time they offend me. Thank you for the grace to be like you in everything in Jesus precious name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Beyond Meeting Needs.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Saturday June 8th, 2024.

Topic : Beyond Meeting Needs.

Memory Verse : John 6:41. When the Jews who were hostile to Jesus heard him say, “I am the bread that came down from heaven,” they immediately began to complain,

Bible Reading : John 6:25-27. Key Verse : v27.

When they finally found him, they asked him, “Teacher, how did you get here?” Jesus replied, “Let me make this very clear, you came looking for me because I fed you by a miracle, not because you believe in me. Why would you strive for food that is perishable and not be passionate to seek the food of eternal life, which never spoils? I, the Son of Man, am ready to give you what matters most, for God the Father has destined me for this purpose.”

Jesus just fed about five thousand men excluding women and children on the other side. After a hectic day of ministering to the people, he had compassion on the people because they were hungry and there wasn’t any place they could buy food because it was late and he didn’t want to send them home just like that. “Have everyone sit down,” Jesus said to his disciples. So on the vast grassy slope, more than five thousand hungry people sat down. Jesus then took the barley loaves and the fish and gave thanks to God. He then gave it to the disciples to distribute to the people. Miraculously, the food multiplied, with everyone eating as much as they wanted! When everyone was satisfied, Jesus told his disciples, “Now go back and gather up the pieces left over so that nothing will be wasted.” John 6:10-12.

At the end of it all, the people began to contemplate making him king because of the way he is able to meet their needs. He had to find a way out of that place. The next day, they sought after him till they found him. Because he is God and knew their mind, he began to let them know that they were not looking for him for the right reasons. The people was more concerned about what to eat and drink to satisfy their physical body. On the other hand, Jesus had a mission of selling the vision of God’s kingdom to them. He came to restore or build a spiritual man. He had a better food for their spirit man which they didn’t place any value on. The more he tried to sell himself to them as the real thing which is the word of God, the more they misunderstood him. “The truth is,” Jesus said, “Moses didn’t give you the bread of heaven. It’s my Father who offers bread that comes as a dramatic sign from heaven. The bread of God is the One who came out of heaven to give his life to feed the world.” John 6:32-33.

“Then please, sir, give us this bread every day,” they replied. Jesus said to them, “I am the Bread of Life. Come every day to me and you will never be hungry. Believe in me and you will never be thirsty.” John 6:34-35. Jesus is the word of God made flesh or in human form. Many people still make the mistake of going after what he has or can do for them when he is out to give us his entire self. The miracle worker himself is no doubt higher than any miracle we can get from him. When we have him with us or in our lives, ourselves will not need to seek miracles as we become empowered to produce the miracles ourselves anytime there is need because of his Spirit at work in our lives. “And these miracle signs will accompany those who believe: They will drive out demons in the power of my name. They will speak in tongues. They will be supernaturally protected from snakes and from drinking anything poisonous. And they will lay hands on the sick and heal them.” Mark 16:17-18.

Prayer : Thank you Father God for giving me Jesus. Lord Jesus I appreciate your interest in making me part of your spiritual kingdom on earth. Help me to to live beyond my immediate needs to receive deeper things you want to deposit in me by your Spirit, so that I can be a blessing to my generation in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
