Journey In Hope.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Friday August 17th, 2024.

Topic : Journey In Hope.

Memory Verse :1 Corinthians 9:26. That is why I run straight for the finishing line; that is why I am like a boxer who does not waste his punches.

Bible Reading : Colossians 1:3-5 GNB. Key Verse : v5.

We always give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you. For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all God’s people. When the true message, the Good News, first came to you, you heard about the hope it offers. So your faith and love are based on what you hope for, which is kept safe for you in heaven.

There’s something unique about following Jesus. It is the only engagement that has real time reward in this present life and after this life or in eternity. Other stuffs people follow in the name of religion has nothing to offer men beyond this present life. They are full of emptiness and promises that can’t stand the test of time. “I ask that your minds may be opened to see his light, so that you will know what is the hope to which he has called you, how rich are the wonderful blessings he promises his people, and how very great is his power at work in us who believe. This power working in us is the same as the mighty strength which he used when he raised Christ from death and seated him at his right side in the heavenly world.” Ephesians 1:18-20.

As a child of God, you have to desire to know those things that salvation and sonship makes available to you, so that you can make them count on this life. True Christianity is a life of endless possibilities, when we are willing to go all the way. All that we need to have a good and rewarding earthly life has already been given to us by the father through his son. We therefore have to build a working relationship with Jesus who is the life of God. When we walk with him daily, he will begin to open us up to understand how to tap into his blessings in our daily living. “Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! For in our union with Christ he has blessed us by giving us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly world. Even before the world was made, God had already chosen us to be his through our union with Christ, so that we would be holy and without fault before him. Because of his love. God had already decided that through Jesus Christ he would make us his sons and daughters — this was his pleasure and purpose.” Ephesians 1:3-5.

The spiritual resources following Christ or sonship makes available to us helps us to live above the forces of nature and limitations. This gurrantees us victory in every battles of life. It doesn’t stop there, but goes further to prepare us to spend eternity in his glorious presence. “But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.” 1 Timothy 4:7-10 KJV.

Prayer : Thank you Lord Jesus for shedding your blood to make me partaker of your glory and blessing in this life and after here. Open my eyes to understand in full measure what you did for me as to take advantage of it to live victorious unto eternity, in Jesus precious name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Be Thankful Always

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Friday August 16th, 2024.

Topic : Be Thankful Always.

Memory Verse : Psalm 107:21. So lift your hands and give thanks to God for his marvelous kindness and for his miracles of mercy for those he loves!

Bible Reading : Psalm 107:18-20 TPT. Key Verse : v21.

Sick and feeble, unable to stand the sight of food, we drew near to the gates of death. Then we cried out, “Lord, help us! Rescue us!” And he did! God spoke the words “Be healed,” and we were healed, delivered from death’s door!

The ears of the Lord are always open to the cry of his children. Anytime you encounter troubles in life, you don’t have to be confused or overwhelmed. If your heart is with the Lord and you have understanding of his commitment to the well being of his children, you won’t waste time before you raise your voice to call on him for his intervention. “I call to the Lord, and he saves me from my enemies. Praise the Lord! The danger of death was all round me; the waves of destruction rolled over me. The danger of death was round me, and the grave set its trap for me. In my trouble I called to the Lord; I called to my God for help. In his temple he heard my voice; he listened to my cry for help.” Psalms 18:3-6.GNB.

The Lord is sovereign. This means that he always does what pleases him and will owe no entity explanations for his chosen acts. When delivers a man, you remain delivered, when he saves, you remain saved, his help is most effective and timely too. No power have the capacity to counter his moves or stop him when he reaches out to you. Even enemies and wicked forces around us becomes instruments that serves his purpose, when he chooses to work. “For through the Son everything was created, both in the heavenly realm and on the earth, all that is seen and all that is unseen. Every seat of power, realm of government, principality, and authority—it was all created through him and for his purpose! He existed before anything was made, and now everything finds completion in him. He is the Head of his body, which is the church. And since he is the beginning and the firstborn heir in resurrection, he is the most exalted One, holding first place in everything. For God is satisfied to have all his fullness dwelling in Christ.” Colossians 1:16-19.

When he does it, we need to return all the praise, honour and glory to him alone. Many lack appreciation before the Lord. They only see what the Lord had not done for them. They seem to be ignorant of all his good deeds in their lives daily. This makes them to be full of negativity and complain in his presence, instead of thanksgiving which is a catalyst that provokes divine intervention in any given situation we find ourselves, no matter how terrible it may appear. They rightly said that gratitude helps us gain altitude because thanksgiving is a key factor that helps us gain access to the throne. Now hear the Psamist….”We were so relieved, so glad as he guided us safely to harbor in a quiet haven. So lift your hands and give thanks to God for his marvelous kindness and for his miracles of mercy for those he loves! Let’s exalt him on high and lift up our praises in public; let all the people and the leaders of the nation know how great and wonderful is Yahweh, our God!” Psalm 107:30-32.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because you are always good in every situation I find myself, because of your faithfulness. Thank you for every victory I enjoyed from your presence before now. Thank you because you will perfect every good thing you began in my life in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Get Ready For Your Change

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Thursday August 15th, 2024

Topic : Get Ready For Your Change.

Memory Verse : Matthew 12:13. Then he said to the man with the paralysed hand, “Stretch out your hand.”He stretched it out, and it became well again, just like the other one.

Bible Reading : Matthew 12:10-12 GNB. Key Verse : v12.

where there was a man who had a paralysed hand. Some people were there who wanted to accuse Jesus of doing wrong, so they asked him, “Is it against our Law to heal on the Sabbath?”Jesus answered, “What if one of you has a sheep and it falls into a deep hole on the Sabbath? Will you not take hold of it and lift it out? And a human being is worth much more than a sheep! So then, our Law does allow us to help someone on the Sabbath.”

God’s investment in man has been enormous from the foundation of the earth. Everything he created was to serve the purpose of man, so that man himself could serve the purpose of God, his creator. Everything was created to provide man an enabling environment to serve God in his lifetime fulfilling his purpose. But man has always misunderstood the ways of God and also tried to be overzealous in his effort to interact with his creator or trying to please him because of misconceptions. Now the Sabbath was a day the Lord God rested after he finished the work of creation and blessed same. Now this rest day was recognised by Jewish laws or the law of Moses as a day when men does no work. When Jesus came with a new dispensation and covenant, there was need for them to embrace the new move of God, but they preferred to stick to what they had known and was used to. They couldn’t even allow his disciples pluck grain from the field to satisfy their hunger on a Sabbath without raising dust against the creator whose purpose the Sabbath was meant to serve.

“Or have you not read in the Law of Moses that every Sabbath the priests in the Temple actually break the Sabbath law, yet they are not guilty? I tell you that there is something here greater than the Temple. The scripture says, ‘It is kindness that I want, not animal sacrifices.’ If you really knew what this means, you would not condemn people who are not guilty; for the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.” Jesus left that place and went to a synagogue, where there was a man who had a paralysed hand. Some people were there who wanted to accuse Jesus of doing wrong, so they asked him, “Is it against our Law to heal on the Sabbath?” Matthew 12:5-10. Jesus just came out a confrontation with Pharisees who faulted his disciples act of plucking grain to eat on a Sabbath and entered the Synagogue when he met this man who needed to recover from his paralysed or deformed hand in other to have a good life.

“Then the Pharisees left and made plans to kill Jesus. When Jesus heard about the plot against him, he went away from that place; and large crowds followed him. He healed all those who were ill and gave them orders not to tell others about him.He did this so as to make what God had said through the prophet Isaiah come true: “Here is my servant, whom I have chosen, the one I love, and with whom I am pleased. I will send my Spirit upon him, and he will announce my judgement to the nations.” Matthew 12: 14-18. Today the judgement of God is against anything that has been of discomfort in your health, finances, marriage, business and career, family, etc. Jesus came to wipe tears away from the faces of them that weep, he came to restore that which you lost in the past, he came so that you can recover from all forms of deformation, he came to give hope to as many as were hopeless. Whatever you can believe him for is possible today. Mark 9:23.

Prayer : Thank you Lord Jesus for coming through to rescue, deliver and heal me of every deformities of life. Today let your judgement be opun everything that is working contrary to your plan and purpose for my life. Thank you for giving me a testimony to share in Jesus wonderful name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

You Are Not Forsaken

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Wednesday August 14th, 2024.

Topic : You Are Not Forsaken.

Memory Verse :Isaiah 43:4. I will give up whole nations to save your life, because you are precious to me and because I love you and give you honour.

Bible Reading : Isaiah 43:1-3 GNB. Key Verse : v2.

Israel, the Lord who created you says, “Do not be afraid — I will save you. I have called you by name — you are mine. When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you. When you pass through fire, you will not be burnt; the hard trials that come will not hurt you. For I am the Lord your God, the holy God of Israel, who saves you. I will give up Egypt to set you free; I will give up Ethiopia and Seba.

Most of the time the people of Israel chosen by God ran into trouble because they walked contrary the covenant as they failed to understand what God was doing on earth in their days out of misconception. They therefore failed to take advantage of the one God had sent to deliver them from their spiritual blindness and predicaments because to them, he didn’t look like it. Jesus the son of Mary and Joseph in the flesh, who was born in a manger didn’t look like their type of saviour. Not only that, his mode of operations even while on his earthly assignment didn’t look like one who could deliver them. They missed it mostly because they were looking for a political deliverer when God was out to build a new and spiritual kingdom for himself here on earth. “The Lord says, “Listen, you deaf people!     Look closely, you that are blind! Is anyone more blind than my servant, more deaf than the messenger I send? Israel, you have seen so much, but what has it meant to you? You have ears to hear with, but what have you really heard?” The Lord is a God who is eager to save, so he exalted his laws and teachings, and he wanted his people to honour them.” Isaiah 42:18-21.

But the love God has for mankind is always stronger than his wrath, he will always remember his mercies as a compassionate father. God never abandon his own. Even in the midst of trouble and despair, he will always be there to pick us up. He doesn’t correct to destroy, rather he corrects in order to restore us to himself. “But now I am happy — not because I made you sad, but because your sadness made you change your ways. That sadness was used by God, and so we caused you no harm. For the sadness that is used by God brings a change of heart that leads to salvation — and there is no regret in that! But sadness that is merely human causes death. See what God did with this sadness of yours: how earnest it has made you, how eager to prove your innocence! Such indignation, such alarm, such feelings, such devotion, such readiness to punish wrongdoing! You have shown yourselves to be without fault in the whole matter.” 2 Corinthians 7:9-11.

For as many as are going through trouble because of their mistakes or factors they cannot even explain. The Lord is telling you that he never abandons his own. Let this truth settle down in your mind. All he desires is that we return to him in repentance where we need to do so. He doesn’t say what he won’t do. You are of much value before him, therefore your deliverance from your predicament is not negotiable. The Lord is risen with the love and jealousy of a father to defend and deliver you. God is saying that he will deliver you at all cost, even it means people going for your sake. “Do not be afraid — I am with you! “From the distant east and the farthest west, I will bring your people home. I will tell the north to let them go and the south not to hold them back. Let my people return from distant lands, from every part of the world. They are my own people,     and I created them to bring me glory.” Isaiah 43:5-7.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because you will never forsake your own. Have mercy on me in anyway I was the cause of my own troubles. Arise in your jealousy of a father and deliver me from men that are stronger than me. Thank you for being always there for me in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

You Have Become Unstoppable

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Tuesday August 13th, 2024.

Topic : You Have Become Unstoppable.

Memory Verse : ‭Acts 4:14. But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say.

Bible Reading : ‭Acts 4:11-13 NIV‬. Key Verse : v13.

Jesus is “ ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

When the enemy moved Jewish religious leaders of his days to scheme the death of Jesus Christ, they thought that would be a way they could stop him from spoiling what they saw as their career lives as priests. Because he was operating on another frequency (of heaven), the people followed after him because he had the answer to their questions and solution to their problems. When they killed him, there was much jubulation in hell. They couldn’t believe their eyes because of the new phase that opened up through the disciples starting from the day of Pentecost. ‭”He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:7-8.

The Holy Spirit became a game changer in the lives of the disciples till today. When this power of God began to function in the disciples, they began to do things that no man could adequately explain. In the first place, they conquered the fear of the crucifiction of their master when held them spell bound initially. After Peter’s message at Pentecost to which about 3,000 souls responded, the lid was broken and they began to come out of their shells. Now, these disciples including their converts stayed in the trenches of prayer and the Word of God. That made them begin to do things that are beyond their capacity as ordinary men that lacked education in religious matters. When Peter and John healed the lame man by Solomon’s gate going into the temple to pray, the religious and political leaders of their days arrested, tried to intimidate and stop them from continuing the assignment of the master under their care. ‭”Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John replied, “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges! As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” Acts 4:18-20.

Today and this season, I don’t know the good and great things God began in your life that Satan has risen to fight. I want you to borrow a cue from the early disciples of our Lord Jesus. If you can pray this season, all their devices shall be rendered useless. “On their release, Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them. When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them. Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.” Acts 4:23-24, 29-31.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because whatever you began in my life, business, career and family, no power can stop. Today by your Spirit, I render all their devises against me impotent by the power of God. Thank you for making me unstoppable in you in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Leaning On His Strength.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Sunday August 11th, 2024.

Topic : Leaning On His Strength.

Memory Verse :
2 Corinthians 4:12. So, then, death is at work in us but it releases life in you.

Bible Reading : 2 Corinthians 4:7-9 TPT. Key Verse : v7.

We are like common clay jars that carry this glorious treasure within, so that the extraordinary overflow of power will be seen as God’s, not ours. Though we experience every kind of pressure, we’re not crushed. At times we don’t know what to do, but quitting is not an option. We are persecuted by others, but God has not forsaken us. We may be knocked down, but not out.

When we turn to live for Jesus Christ, we are initiated into a life of glory. This glory is a bye product of God’s presence as revealed by his Spirit that in-habits us. The importance of the Holy Spirit in a believer’s life therefore cannot be overempasised. The Holy Spirit makes power or divine ability available to us for our daily Christian living. “He came to his own country, but his own people did not receive him. Some, however, did receive him and believed in him; so he gave them the right to become God’s children. They did not become God’s children by natural means, that is, by being born as the children of a human father; God himself was their Father.” John 1:11-13 GNB.

Now we must note that God’s presence in our lives through the channel of Holy Spirit does not eliminate challenges, trouble or even persecution when they want to come our way. Rather he makes strength available to us through his ministry of comfort that helps us weather the storm of life in victory. This is how we are able to surmount challenges and flourish sometimes under unbelievable circumstances. “So no wonder we don’t give up. For even though our outer person gradually wears out, our inner being is renewed every single day. We view our slight, short-lived troubles in the light of eternity. We see our difficulties as the substance that produces for us an eternal, weighty glory far beyond all comparison, because we don’t focus our attention on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but the unseen realm is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.

On a conclusive note, we need to realise that challenges and storms are instruments that God uses to prepare us to carry the glory of God in our weakness or as earthen vessels. This fragility helps us appreciate the need to depend on God continually for strength under any circumstances. “We continually share in the death of Jesus in our own bodies so that the resurrection life of Jesus will be revealed through our humanity. We consider living to mean that we are constantly being handed over to death for Jesus’ sake so that the life of Jesus will be revealed through our humanity. So, then, death is at work in us but it releases life in you.” 2 Corinthians 4:10-12.

Prayer : Thank you Lord Jesus for giving me your Spirit to be my strength in the journey of life. Help me to depend on, as well as always cooperate with your Spirit in order to overcome challenges and live out the life of Christ here on earth in Jesus precious name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Wisdom For Daily Living

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Saturday August 10th, 2024.

Topic : Wisdom For Daily Living.

Memory Verse : Psalm 37:4. Make God the utmost delight and pleasure of your life, and he will provide for you what you desire the most.

Bible Reading :Psalm 37:7-9 TPT. Key Verse : v9.

Quiet your heart in his presence and pray; keep hope alive as you long for God to come through for you. And don’t think for a moment that the wicked in their prosperity are better off than you. Stay away from anger and revenge. Keep envy far from you, for it only leads you into lies. For one day the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the Lord will live safe and sound with blessings overflowing.

We live in the last days, days the word of God said ahead of time will be dangerous or perilous. In these last days men celebrate evil and wickedness. Men go for result at all cost, they don’t care who is trampled upon or hurt, as long as they get what they want. If themselves are comfortable, they’ll be fine, others can perish because they care less. In our days men are cold minded, to the extent that people can do anything to get money, grab power, etc. People are loosing sense of humanity in their dealings with others. Evil and wickedness are on the rise and they are being seen as normal daily occurrences. “But you need to be aware that in the final days the culture of society will become extremely fierce and difficult for the people of God. People will be self-centered lovers of themselves and obsessed with money. They will boast of great things as they strut around in their arrogant pride and mock all that is right. They will ignore their own families. They will be ungrateful and ungodly. They will become addicted to hateful and malicious slander. Slaves to their desires, they will be ferocious, belligerent haters of what is good and right.” 2 Timothy 3:1-3.

The word of God instructed us on time not to follow a multitude to do evil. We are not to follow the pattern of men who are evil or wicked in their dealings, though the be successful in the sight of men. The word of God rightly admonished that this life is not all about material possessions that fuel the pride of men. Truth is that God will judge the works of men. We must not forget that the reason for judgement of God is for reward purposes. “Just as it is written: “As surely as I am the Living God, I tell you: ‘Every knee will bow before me and every tongue will confess the truth and glorify me!’ ” Therefore, each one must answer for himself and give a personal account of his own life before God.” Romans 14:11-12.

Today, we must learn not to build on faulty foundations as children of God, because such structures cannot stand the test of time. We must learn to follow due process with God. This will involve a life of contentment per time and patience till we get to our desired great and glorious destination. Men that walk ahead of God runs into regrets and sometimes are cut short and have not time to make ammends. Now hear this…. “I was once young, but now I’m old. Not once have I found a lover of God forsaken by him, nor have any of their children gone hungry. Instead, I’ve found the godly ones to be the generous ones who give freely to others. Their children are blessed and become a blessing. If you truly want to dwell forever in God’s presence, forsake evil and do what is right in his eyes. The Lord loves it when he sees us walking in his justice. He will never desert his devoted lovers; they will be kept forever in his faithful care. But the descendants of the wicked will be banished.”

Psalm 37:25-28.

Prayer : Thank you Father God because whom you love, you will always instruct. Help me to live a life that honours you. Help me to wait patiently on you for my lifting. Keep me from the paths of evil and wickedness all my days in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Responsible Christianity.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Friday August 9th, 2024.

Topic : Responsible Christianity.

Memory Verse : Galatians 4:7. So then, you are no longer a slave but a son or daughter. And since that is what you are, God will give you all that he has for his heirs.

Bible Reading : Galatians 4:4-6 GNB. Key Verse : v6

But when the right time finally came, God sent his own Son. He came as the son of a human mother and lived under the Jewish Law, to redeem those who were under the Law, so that we might become God’s sons and daughters. To show that you are his sons and daughters, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who cries out, “Father, my Father.”

To get the best of Christianity, we need to understand the implications of our involvement with the saviour. This includes the implication of his death on the cross and how it affects us as a believers. There are spiritual opportunities and resources that Jesus Christ made available to those who believe in him through his death and resurrection. He didn’t die for fun, neither was his resurrection in vain. Everything that he did including the fact he lives forever have implications in the lives of those who live for him, even his enemies. “And this free-flowing gift imparts to us much more than what was given to us through the one who sinned. For because of one transgression, we are all facing a death sentence with a verdict of “Guilty!” But this gracious gift leaves us free from our many failures and brings us into the perfect righteousness of God—acquitted with the words “Not guilty!” Death once held us in its grip, and by the blunder of one man, death reigned as king over humanity. But now, how much more are we held in the grip of grace and continue reigning as kings in life, enjoying our regal freedom through the gift of perfect righteousness in the one and only Jesus, the Messiah!” Romans 5:16-17 TPT.

Now we need to understand that redemption gave us the rights and privileges that goes with sonship. Now as heirs and joint heirs with Jesus, we have moved from where we used to be and entered a new level of relationship with the father. We now have unfettered access to all the spiritual resources that makes God whom he is. God intentionally made it so, so that we can be in charge of earthly affairs on his behalf. In doing this, he has given us his Spirit to help us with strength to enable us fulfill his purpose on earth. This is the reason we have to reign in this present life and not after. “And they were all singing this new song of praise to the Lamb: “Because you were slaughtered for us, you are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals. Your blood was the price paid to redeem us. You purchased us to bring us to God out of every tribe, language, people group, and nation. You have chosen us to serve our God and formed us into a kingdom of priests who reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:9-10 TPT.

The implication of reigning in life is that we operate in divine wisdom in our operations and exercise the full authority of God’s agents

of change or ambassadors anywhere we find ourselves. This means that we are not to run helter skekter looking for him or help, rather we know that he lived in us and therefore must take responsibility in our various territories to make sure that the enemy is not able to have his way in places and situations he desires to. We can’t afford to walk like people who are ignorant of who they are and the resources that heaven made available to us to use and enforce his will here on earth. “I am convinced that any suffering we endure is less than nothing compared to the magnitude of glory that is about to be unveiled within us. The entire universe is standing on tiptoe, yearning to see the unveiling of God’s glorious sons and daughters! For against its will the universe itself has had to endure the empty futility resulting from the consequences of human sin. But now, with eager expectation, all creation longs for freedom from its slavery to decay and to experience with us the wonderful freedom coming to God’s children.” Romans 8:18-21 TPT.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for saving me, so that I represent you here on earth. From today open the eyes of my understanding to the implications of what you did for me. Help me not to fail you, but take my rightful place in you as to be in charge here on earth on your behalf. Thank you for making me a blessing all my days in Jesus wonderful name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Do Whatever He Tells You.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Thursday August 8th, 2024.

Topic : Do Whatever He Tells You.

Memory Verse :John 2:5. Jesus’ mother then told the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

Bible Reading :John 2:1-4 GNB. Key Verse : v4.

Two days later there was a wedding in the town of Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine had given out, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no wine left.” “You must not tell me what to do,” Jesus replied. “My time has not yet come.”

At this point in time Jesus Christ had not done any miracle publicly that could draw the attention of men to him, but God was using him to do great things at home as he grew up. The mother knew him better than anyone else, knowing what transpired between herself and the angel of God that resulted in her conception, she was not surprised that he was being used to do strange things at home while he grew up. You know that the John rightly said that no singular book on earth can contain all the miracles done by Jesus Christ, even during his public earthly ministry. The ones captured in the Bible that men who stayed with him documented are enough to prove to all who care that he is God and the creator manifested in the flesh. Coming back to the story at hand, Jesus was invited to this particular marriage feast that held in Cana of Galilee with his disciples.

“Jesus and his disciples were all invited to the banquet, but with so many guests in attendance, they ran out of wine. And when Mary realized it, she came to him and asked, “They have no wine, can’t you do something about it?” Jesus replied, “My dear one, don’t you understand that if I do this, it won’t change anything for you, but it will change everything for me! My hour of unveiling my power has not yet come.” John 2:2-4. TPT. Jesus and his disciples didn’t arrive on time for this marriage feast. But fortunately for the host, he arrived at a time when his presence was mostly needed. By the time he arrived, the host had ran out of wine because probably he had more response from guests beyond his expectations. Mary knowing the value his his son Jesus could bring to the table at difficult times, went to him and asked him to help out in that situation.

Initially he was reluctant, but later helped them out by performing his first public miracle which made even his disciples believe in him the more. He simply asked them to fill the empty jars there with ordinary water. After they had done that, they came back to him for the next line of instructions. This time he commanded them to serve the people wine from those jars. “and then he told them, “Now draw some water out and take it to the man in charge of the feast.” They took him the water, which now had turned into wine, and he tasted it. He did not know where this wine had come from (but, of course, the servants who had drawn out the water knew); so he called the bridegroom and said to him, “Everyone else serves the best wine first, and after the guests have had plenty to drink, he serves the ordinary wine. But you have kept the best wine until now!” John 2:8-10. Today, our take home is that obedience to divine instructions is key to securing his intervention anytime we need it.

Wednesday August 7th,2024.

Topic : From Obedience To Blessing.

Memory Verse : Deuteronomy 11:13. “So then, obey the commands that I have given you today; love the Lord your God and serve him with all your heart.

Bible Reading : Deuteronomy 11:14-16 GNB. Key Verse : v14.

If you do, he will send rain on your land when it is needed, in the autumn and in the spring, so that there will be corn, wine, and olive oil for you,

and grass for your livestock. You will have all the food you want. Do not let yourselves be led away from the Lord to worship and serve other gods.

God’s love for man has never been in doubt. He created the universe to provide man with all the sustainance, condusive atmosphere and comfort he needed to be able to serve God’s purpose here on earth. From the beginning, man was designed to succeed on earth. We know this because the word of God confirmed that all God created to serve man’s purpose and create enabling environment for him to carry out divine purpose on earth was good. For the sake of orderliness, God gave man commands to obey for his own good. As long as man stayed on the paths of obedience to the commands of God, he was able to enjoy God’s blessings and everything worked in his favour. Coming to our main text, God brought his people Israel out of Egypt, the land of bondage and servitude by his mighty hand and acts, so that they could serve him and him alone.

When they left Egypt, the land of slavery, they were on their way to Canaan, a place of fulfillment of dreams. Here we see Moses reminding them the conditions they must keep in order to enter the full measure of God’s plan for their lives. “Love the Lord your God and always obey all his laws. Remember today what you have learned about the Lord through your experiences with him. It was you, not your children, who had these experiences. You saw the Lord’s greatness, his power, his might, and his miracles. You saw what he did to the king of Egypt and to his entire country. You saw how the Lord completely wiped out the Egyptian army, along with their horses and chariots, by drowning them in the Red Sea when they were pursuing you. You know what the Lord did for you in the desert before you arrived here.” Deuteronomy 11:1-5.

Now the key to walking in the fulness of God’s blessing here as revealed in our main text is that we love and serve God with all our hearts. When we obey his commands from a heart of love, we activate his covenant of divine supply, protection and sustainance. That is when God commands his blessing upon us and the works our hands or means of livelihood without struggles. “Obey all the laws that I have given you today. Then you will be able to cross the river and occupy the land that you are about to enter. And you will live a long time in the rich and fertile land that the Lord promised to give your ancestors and their descendants. The land that you are about to occupy is not like the land of Egypt, where you lived before. There, when you sowed seed, you had to work hard to irrigate the fields;” Deuteronomy 11:9-11.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for giving me everything I need to succeed in this life as found in your word. Help me to love and serve you with everything that is within me. Thank you because of the blesings that comes with obedience in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
