Time To Enter The Fulness Of His Promises.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Saturday November 22nd, 2025.

Topic :Time To Enter The Fulness Of His Promises.

Memory Verse :Joshua 1:6. Be determined and confident, for you will be the leader of these people as they occupy this land which I promised their ancestors.

Bible Reading :Joshua 1:1-3 GNB. Key Verse : v2.

After the death of the Lord’s servant Moses, the Lord spoke to Moses’ helper, Joshua son of Nun. He said, “My servant Moses is dead. Get ready now, you and all the people of Israel, and cross the River Jordan into the land that I am giving them. As I told Moses, I have given you and all my people the entire land that you will be marching over.

This time God had called Moses home to be with him. Because God works ahead of time, he had prepared Joshua to step into the shoes of leadership that Moses vacated. Now, God began to deal with Joshua to take over the mantle of leadership and continue from where Moses stopped before he was taken home. He God needed Joshua to understand the scope of his assignment and also realise the backing of the Lord over his assignment as to be able to face the challenges ahead, trusting in what the Lord can do with ordinary men, when we are yielded to his leading. God assured Joshua that he will be with him in the same measure he was with Moses. So he needed not be afraid of anything that lay ahead, knowing what God had done all the way through Moses to get the children of Israel to the point they were in that particular time.

There is something God told Joshua repeatedly while commissioning him that we need to look at closely and imbibe. That is to be “determined and confident” . King James said “be strong and of good courage”. God had to repeat this instructions to sink it deep down Joshua because he was going to face challenges on the way. The key to overcoming those difficult situations he will meet in the course of his assignment is being determined to succeed and approaching every situation with confidence that comes from the understanding that the Lord who is always in their camp is able to do all things. Already he had proven himself in their camp before now through the ways he responded to every challenges they faced moving from Egypt to the point where they were before this very encounter.

“Your borders will reach from the desert in the south to the Lebanon Mountains in the north; from the great River Euphrates in the east, through the Hittite country, to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. Joshua, no one will be able to defeat you as long as you live. I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will always be with you; I will never abandon you. Be determined and confident, for you will be the leader of these people as they occupy this land which I promised their ancestors.” Joshua 1:4-6. Joshua was to lead the people of God into their inheritance in God as was promised their ancestor Abraham. This season, God is determined to launch as many as are ready for him into the fulness of his plan and promises for their lives, so that they can enjoy the full measure of his blessing. What God wants from us as a people is that we like Joshua must be determined and confident (strong and of good courage), when challenges arise, knowing what our God is able to do when we depend on him in totality.

Prayer :Thank you you Father God for choosing me in my lifetime to serve your purpose. Help me to stand determined and confident in the battlefield of life always, trusting in what you can and will always do. Thank you for being my victory in Jesus wonderful name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Take Control Of Your Tongue.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Friday November 21st, 2025.

Topic :Take Control Of Your Tongue.

Memory Verse :James 3:12. Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

Bible Reading :James 3:9-11 KJV. Key Verse : v10.

Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?

When we come to know Jesus, we are to build a working relationship with him by the help of the Holy Spirit given to us freely. From this point we are going to start working on ourselves to be better people.
The purpose of God at this point in time is to transform our lives to the extent that there will be visible changes in the way we do things we speak into existence. Our lives therefore is not permitted to remain the way it used to be before we met Christ. One of the things we have to cultivate as believers is the habit of studying the word of God with the intention to make adjustments in the areas we need to in order to reflect the nature of God at work in us through his Spirit. “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8.

“So then, my brothers and sisters, because of God’s great mercy to us I appeal to you: offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer. Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God — what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.” Romans 12:1-2 GNB. It is God’s will that we become a channel through which God blesses other men that encounters us daily.

At this point, one member of our body we must pay attention to is our tongue, so that it can become a tool in the hands of the Lord. The rebirth or change that took place in our spirit has to be seen in our conduct especially the way we talk.”“You’ll never find choice fruit hanging on a bad, unhealthy tree. And rotten fruit doesn’t hang on a good, healthy tree. Every tree will be revealed by the quality of fruit that it produces. Figs or grapes will never be picked off thorn trees. People are known in this same way. Out of the virtue stored in their hearts, good and upright people will produce good fruit. But out of the evil hidden in their hearts, evil ones will produce what is evil. For the overflow of what has been stored in your heart will be seen by your fruit and will be heard in your words” Luke 6:43-45 TPT.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for making me in your likeness and image. Thank you because you call those things that are not into existence by your spoken words. Help me from today to use my tongue wisely to be a blessing all my days in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

The Intercesorry Ministry Of His Spirit.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS

Thursday November 20th, 2025.

Topic :The Intercesorry Ministry Of His Spirit.

Memory Verse :‭Hebrews 7:25. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Bible Reading :‭Romans 8:26-28 NIV‬. Key Verse :v26.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Prayer is a very important lifestyle every believer that wants to go far in life must work hard to develop. This is because no one was born praying. We therefore train ourselves as believers to pray or stand in God’s presence. Prayer as a laborious work is never a sweet exercise, it has the tendency to wear you out physically when deeply engaged in as a spiritual exercise. That is when it becomes warfare, where we need to mobilise spiritual resources as revealed in the word of God to ensure victory. “Put on all the armour that God gives you, so that you will be able to stand up against the Devil’s evil tricks. For we are not fighting against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age.” Ephesians 6:11-12 GNB.

The battles of life in between light and darkness. That is the kingdom of God and Satan. The beauty of fighting alongside Jesus is that he has already won the battle on our behalf. That’s the edge we always have over the devil and his wicked forces in Christ Jesus. The victory Jesus acquired on the cross belongs therefore to as many as believes in him. “For although we live in the natural realm, we don’t wage a military campaign employing human weapons, using manipulation to achieve our aims. Instead, our spiritual weapons are energized with divine power to effectively dismantle the defenses behind which people hide. We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.” 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 TPT.

We need to understand that the Holy Spirit holds the keys to effective prayers. We therefore need to.depend on him as our technical adviser. We have to learn to depend on him when the battle becomes tough . We have to trust him enough to navigate our ship of prayer successfully on rough terrains. His groanings moves the mighty hand of God in our favour anytime we fall back on him. When we take advantage of the intercesory ministry of Jesus by the help of his Spirit, he will always see us through. Jesus in teaching his disciples prayer in Luke 11:1-13 used the importunate friend to illustrate the importance of the Holy Spirit in the place of prayer. This is because the Holy Spirit helps us stand in the centre of God’s will anytime we are praying, which is key to receiving answers from his presence. “And if you ask, you won’t receive it for you’re asking with corrupt motives, seeking only to fulfill your own selfish desires. You have become spiritual adulterers who are having an affair, an unholy relationship with the world. Don’t you know that flirting with the world’s values places you at odds with God? Whoever chooses to be the world’s friend makes himself God’s enemy!” James 4:3-4 TPT.

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus for teaching me to pray and not to faint. Help me to always take advantage of the intercesorry ministry of the Holy Spirit to obtain results in difficult times. Thank you Spirit of God for interceding on my behalf to give me results anytime I fall back on you in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Kingdom Greatness.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Wednesday November 19th, 2025.

Topic : Kingdom Greatness.

Memory Verse :James 4:6. But he continues to pour out more and more grace upon us. For it says, God resists you when you are proud but continually pours out grace when you are humble.”

Bible Reading :Matthew 18:1-3 TPT. Key Verse : v3.

At that time the disciples came to ask Jesus, “Who is considered to be the greatest in heaven’s kingdom realm?” Jesus called a little one to his side and said to them, “Learn this well: Unless you dramatically change your way of thinking and become teachable, and learn about heaven’s kingdom realm with the wide-eyed wonder of a child, you will never be able to enter in.

This time the early disciples of Jesus was trying to find out the criteria for greatness in the kingdom of God. In their curiosity, they came to Jesus to hear from the great teacher himself. They never expected the response of Jesus who brought a child, set him up before them all, telling them that the key to greatness in the realm of God lies in having a heart that is childlike in nature. Jesus Christ never meant that his followers should be foolish in their ways just like a child. Rather one of the attributes of a child that helps men to mature and become great men before the Lord is to become teachable just like a child. Children are very pliable, therefore they believe everything you teach or tell them, once you are able to bond and build trust with them. This kingdom is built on knowledge. The more you learn from the master by the help of his Spirit, the better your life becomes and the more the Lord can entrust sensitive kingdom matters to your care because of maturity.

Another attribute of a child that nutures greatness is humility. “Whoever continually humbles himself to become like this gentle child is the greatest one in heaven’s kingdom realm.” Matthew 18:4. A man can be said to be humble when he is not arrogant or think that he is better than others. A humble man in simple language is always submissive. This attribute in a man does two things that helps the life of an individual before the Lord. In the first place, it makes the person to fight less avoidable battles in life. The less avoidedable battles you fight in life, the faster you can move most time. The word said that God resists the proud. God being a Spirit and the father of all spirits will always work through humans here on earth. So the resistance of God will raise a lot of opposition that will certainly wear a man out simply because God is involved. Where there is no resistance, the man will be receiving help that gives him speed in life.

Another important thing humility does for a man who has that virtue is that it opens him up to unhindered access to a dimension of God called grace . This grace on it’s it’s own is the name of the laboratory and factory where God mould and remould great destinies. Grace is that dimension in God that grants men unhindered access to things they are not qualified for by every human standard. That is where men cease from their labours because they are able to migrate into and begin to operate in the paths of unmerited favour. The book of James 4:6 said that God keep pouring grace upon the humble soul till he is saturated. That is where men begin to walk in continuous overflow because there is a stream flowing into their lives to bless others from the throne of grace.

Prayer : Thank you Father God because power belongs to you. Today help me to walk before you with the obedient and humble spirit of a child. Keep me in the paths of grace and divine favour. Pour your grace upon me till I become a blessing in Jesus wonderful name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Living In Union, Bearing Fruits.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Tuesday November 18th, 2025.

Topic :Living In Union, Bearing Fruits.

Memory Verse : John 15:5. “I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me you are powerless.

Bible Reading : John 15:1-3 TPT. Key Verse : v2.

“I am a true sprouting vine, and the farmer who tends the vine is my Father. He cares for the branches connected to me by lifting and propping up the fruitless branches and pruning every fruitful branch to yield a greater harvest. The words I have spoken over you have already cleansed you.

Every child of God has been called into a life of fruitfulness. It is God’s will that every child of his lives to bear much fruits that will stand the test of time. This becomes possible when we understand the nature of God and what we need to do to stay in his plan. In the first place, we have to know that man was created to depend on God daily. That is the reason God always came to the garden of Eden to spend time with man, keeping him company and showing him love. The day Satan succeeded in making man attempt to live outside God and his commandments, he was able to get man out of the plan of God and steal what he had in Eden. That reveals the nothingness in trying to build ourselves outside the plan of God. “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5 KJV.

The almighty is the tree of life and ourselves that believe in Jesus are his branches or his extensions here on earth. If you look at a tree, you will certainly observe that any branch that is severed from the main tree has zero chances of survival. This is because the tree rooted on the soil supplies nutrients to the any of the branches. As long as a branch remains with the mother tree, it will flourish and bear fruits because of the life and nutrients that it receives from the mother tree or stem. “So you must remain in life-union with me, for I remain in life-union with you. For as a branch severed from the vine will not bear fruit, so your life will be fruitless unless you live your life intimately joined to mine. If a person is separated from me, he is discarded; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire to be burned. But if you live in life-union with me and if my words live powerfully within you—then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done.” John 15:4,6-7.

The secret of fruitfulness therefore is in living a life of union with Jesus Christ himself. That is a life that looks upto him for everything. Such life depends on his word for nourishment and strength at any point in time. As the Psalmist rightly said, the word becomes a compass for such individual or a light that helps point direction to his paths in everything he does. That is what the life of union is all about. At this point, we live to serve and protect the interests of the Master himself as being one with him. Already, he has given us an example to follow with the life of submission to the will of God himself lived on earth. That is the secret behind his enjoying so much love from the father, to the extent that his name was elevated above every other, so that at the mention of his name, every power and authority, seen and unseen must submit. Finally we must note that fruitfulness is one of the signs of maturity in any believer. That is when our own lives begins to impact on others positively. John 15:8-11.

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus for bringing me into a life of union with you. Thank you for giving me your Spirit to help me understand and live for you. Help me to always obey your commands as to remain in your love forever. Thank you for making my life most fruitful in Jesus wonderful name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Live To Obey His Voice.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Monday November 17th, 2025.

Topic : Live To Obey His Voice.

Memory Verse :1 Samuel 15:20. “I did obey the Lord,” Saul replied. “I went out as he told me to, brought back King Agag, and killed all the Amalekites.

Bible Reading :1 Samuel 15:21-23 GNB. Key Verse : v22.

But my men did not kill the best sheep and cattle that they captured; instead, they brought them here to Gilgal to offer as a sacrifice to the Lord your God.” Samuel said, “Which does the Lord prefer: obedience or offerings and sacrifices? It is better to obey him than to sacrifice the best sheep to him. Rebellion against him is as bad as witchcraft, and arrogance is as sinful as idolatry. Because you rejected the Lord’s command, he has rejected you as king.”

King Saul here is a very good example of how a serious minded individual should not take the Lord and his instructions for granted. He was too childish in his dealings with God here. He couldn’t be faithful in carrying out simple instructions given him by the mouth of the Lord. “Samuel said to Saul, “I am the one whom the Lord sent to anoint you king of his people Israel. Now listen to what the Lord Almighty says. He is going to punish the people of Amalek because their ancestors opposed the Israelites when they were coming from Egypt. Go and attack the Amalekites and completely destroy everything they have. Don’t leave a thing; kill all the men, women, children, and babies; the cattle, sheep, camels, and donkeys.”” 1 Samuel 15:1-3.

King Saul prepared his army and went down to Amelek with a wrong mindset. There he was overtaken by his flesh and it’s desires. He spared the best of animals and brought home king Agag alive when God commanded that nothing and nobody should be spared. Everything in the land was marked by God for destruction. King Saul couldn’t pass the simple test of obedience that would have endered him to be heart of God, established his throne and prepared him for higher assignments and attendant blessings. “Saul defeated the Amalekites, fighting all the way from Havilah to Shur, east of Egypt; he captured King Agag of Amalek alive and killed all the people. But Saul and his men spared Agag’s life and did not kill the best sheep and cattle, the best calves and lambs, or anything else that was good; they destroyed only what was useless or worthless.” 1 Samuel 15:7-9.

Even when Samuel confronted him for his, greed and costly mistakes, he was initially insisting that he had obeyed the voice of God. “Samuel went up to Saul, who greeted him, saying, “The Lord bless you, Samuel! I have obeyed the Lord’s command.” Samuel asked, “Why, then, do I hear cattle mooing and sheep bleating?” Saul answered, “My men took them from the Amalekites. They kept the best sheep and cattle to offer as a sacrifice to the Lord your God, and the rest we have destroyed completely.”” 1 Samuel 15:13-15. Today, we must learn to take the instructions of the Lord very seriously in all our dealings and walk with him. We must understand that for every instructions the Lord gives us in any given situation has underlying reasons. In this life we must learn to be content with divine provisions. We don’t need anything God who is the giver of every good gift, has not given to us. Men that walk with God must therefore imbibe the culture of self discipline and contentment. Here king Saul lost the throne because of carelessness , greed, pride, and indiscipline, the Lord took away that he had given him.

Prayer : Thank you Father God because you are the the owner of my soul. Help me to live the rest of my life in your presence and total surrender and obedience to your will and commands. Thank you for helping me obey your completely always in Jesus wonderful name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Give God What Is Due.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Sunday November 16th, 2025.

Topic :Give God What Is Due.

Memory Verse :Psalms 50:15. Call to me when trouble comes; I will save you, and you will praise me.”

Bible Reading :Psalms 50:12-14 GNB. Key Verse : v14.

“If I were hungry, I would not ask you for food, for the world and everything in it is mine. Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats? Let the giving of thanks be your sacrifice to God, and give the Almighty all that you promised.

The God that created heaven and earth and everything that can be seen and are unseen is a good God. He causes the sun to shine on the good and bad without discrimination. He makes provision for everything he created because he is a good God who cares so much about the sons of men and the works of his hands. Every creature on earth is an expression of what he can do, they bear a testimony of him. The things we see with our eyes is a proof that there is a God who brought them into existence. “Only the withering soul would say to himself, “There is no God.” Anyone who thinks like this is corrupt and callous, depraved and detestable, devoid of what is good. The Lord looks down in love, bending over heaven’s balcony, looking over all of Adam’s sons and daughters. He’s looking to see if there is anyone who acts wisely, any who are searching for God and wanting to please him.” Psalm 14:1-2 TPT.

The way to please God in the first place is to recognise him for whom he is and to give him his rightful place in the scheme of your affairs. This can only be possible when you are able to discern the hands of God that helps men achieve in life. When we lack understanding, we may fall into the trap of thinking that we succeeded because we are better or smarter than others around us. But the truth is that in every success story, there’s always a hand of God that made every achievement in life possible. “If God’s grace doesn’t help the builders, they will labor in vain to build a house. If God’s mercy doesn’t protect the city, all the sentries will circle it in vain. It really is senseless to work so hard from early morning till late at night, toiling to make a living for fear of not having enough. God can provide for his lovers even while they sleep!” Psalm 127:1-2 TPT.

This understanding will help us give God what is due to him. In the first place, what God demands from men is gratitude. This gratitude is such that originates from the depths of our hearts. This is what motivates us to give him the worship that is due to him alone. When we pay our vows to him and make sacrifices of praise to him who deserves it, we pave the way for more of his blessings and visitations. “He calls heaven and earth as witnesses to see him judge his people. He says, “Gather my faithful people to me, those who made a covenant with me by offering a sacrifice.” The heavens proclaim that God is righteous, that he himself is judge. “Listen, my people, and I will speak; I will testify against you, Israel. I am God, your God.” Psalms 50:4-7.

Prayer : Thank you Father God because only you deserves my worship and praise. I see your hand working for me behind the scene in everything. Today I have come to give you praise because you are worthy. Accept my sacrifices in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Time To Reach Out To The Lost.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Saturday November 15th, 2025.

Topic :Time To Reach Out To The Lost.

Memory Verse :Matthew 9:12. Jesus heard them and answered, “People who are well do not need a doctor, but only those who are sick.

Bible Reading :Matthew 9:9-11 GNB. Key Verse : v10.

Jesus left that place, and as he walked along, he saw a tax collector, named Matthew, sitting in his office. He said to him, “Follow me.”Matthew got up and followed him. While Jesus was having a meal in Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and other outcasts came and joined Jesus and his disciples at the table. Some Pharisees saw this and asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with such people?”

Jesus had just finished ministering at a place where he healed a paralytic. On his way, he saw Matthew, a tax collector who was sitting at his duty post and called him to follow him. The Bible recorded that Mathew abandoned every other thing he was doing and followed Jesus. Not only that, Mathew was happy to be part of Jesus glorious ministry. In appreciation, he hosted Jesus in his house being a rich man. When his friends joined him and Jesus on the table, some people began to complain among themselves that Jesus mingled and ate freely with all kinds of people including those perceived by the people to be sinners and oprressors of fellow Jews (tax collectors).

Jesus being God and therefore knowing all things perceived their thoughts are murmurings, he therefore had to open up to them to know that his ministry was designed by God to reach out to sinners and lost men in order to bring them to repentance and a life of fellowship or intimate relationship with God almighty. He likened sinners to men who were sick and therefore needed a cure or the services of a doctor. Just as healthy men don’t have need of a doctor, righteouse men or men who are free from sin have no need for a saviour and redeemer. “While he was still debating with himself about what to do, he fell asleep and had a supernatural dream. An angel from the Lord appeared to him in clear light and said, “Joseph, descendant of David, don’t hesitate to take Mary into your home as your wife, because the power of the Holy Spirit has conceived a child in her womb. She will give birth to a son and you are to name him ‘Savior,’ for he is destined to give his life to save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:20-21 TPT.

“And he said to them, “As you go into all the world, preach openly the wonderful news of the gospel to the entire human race! Whoever believes the good news and is baptized will be saved, and whoever does not believe the good news will be condemned.” Mark 16:15-16. Today we need to realise that the call to follow Jesus Christ has been extended to all men. At the point that we believed in him, we accepted his call as extended to us to follow him, so that he can make us an extension of himself. To that extent, everything we see him do when he walked the surface of the earth as a man, we are to continue to do. We are here to reach out to lost souls and sinners. We are to share the good news of what Jesus has done in our lives with them and give them the opportunity to be part of this great kingdom Jesus is building here on earth. Every day of our lives, we have to use every resources available to reach out to men who need salvation. If we reach out, the Spirit of God will finish the assignment by working conviction and convertion for Jesus to be glorified.

Prayer: Thank you Father God for sending us Jesus to redeem my soul. Thank you Lord Jesus for what you have done. Thank you for extending the call to follow and serve you to me. Help me to to use every resources you make available to me to reach out to sinners, bringing them home to you in Jesus Mighty Name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Time To Pursue, Overtake And Recover.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Friday November 14th, 2025.

Topic :Time To Pursue, Overtake And Recover.

Memory Verse : 1 Samuel 30:8. And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

Bible Reading :1 Samuel 30:9-11 KJV. Key Verse : v11.

So David went, he and the six hundred men that were with him, and came to the brook Besor, where those that were left behind stayed. But David pursued, he and four hundred men: for two hundred abode behind, which were so faint that they could not go over the brook Besor. And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat; and they made him drink water;

This time David was running for his life, being pursued by king Saul who was bent on eliminating him. This made him to settle down in Ziklag, which was a territory under the control of Achis king of the Philistines at that point in time, because king Saul hunted him down anywhere he went within the territories of Israel, he had settle down with their immediate neighbours, the Philistines. Being with Achis, he was useful to the king and the Philistines in times of war. This time, the battle was between the people of Philistine and Israel, the brothers of David. However, the men of Philistine didn’t want David to fight with them this time, to avoid him showing sympathy to his people of Israel, thereby compromising their war plans. The king therefore sent him home, away from the battlefield. When he returned to Ziklag, David and his men discovered that the place was in ruins, haven been burnt down and everyone and things on sight that moved taking captive by the rader raiders from Amalek. 1 Samuel 30 :1-3.

“Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep. And David’s two wives were taken captives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite. And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.” 1 Samuel 30:4-6. When David finally gathered himself and inquired of the Lord who responded and asked him to pursue, overtaking and recover all he lost with his men. As he took the step of obedience, the Lord helped him through the weak and exhausted servant of the Amelekite who gave them the intelligence that helped them trace the whereabouts of the Amelekites who carried out the raid, burnt down Ziklag and carried away everyone and everyone captive.

Today, we have to understand that anytime we are overwhelmed with trouble, it is not time to weep to stupor or become confused. Trying times are times to seek after God to know the next line of action to take. David didn’t make any progress until he called the priest to himself and enquired of the Lord to know what he should do. When the Lord instructed him, he had clarity of purpose and his confidence returned to him, because he had known the mind of God in that given situation. “Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;” 1 Chronicles 16:11-15.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because you are always with me, even in times of trouble. As I seek your face this time, empower me to pursue, overtake and recover anywhere I suffered losses in the past in Jesus wonderful name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Time To Return To The Lord.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Thursday November 13th, 2025.

Topic :Time To Return To The Lord.

Memory Verse :Luke 15:17. At last he came to his senses and said, ‘All my father’s hired workers have more than they can eat, and here I am about to starve!

Bible Reading :Luke 15:18-20 GNB. Key Verse : v20.

I will get up and go to my father and say, Father, I have sinned against God and against you. I am no longer fit to be called your son; treat me as one of your hired workers.’ So he got up and started back to his father. “He was still a long way from home when his father saw him; his heart was filled with pity, and he ran, threw his arms round his son, and kissed him.

Jesus told this parable of a rich man who had two sons. The younger son woke up one day and demanded for his inheritance from the father prematurely. The father didn’t want to listen because he knew that this son wasn’t mature enough mentally to manage such inheritance. But because he insisted and kept mounting prrsure on the father, he had to settle him. This son hastened to sell what he received from the father and travelled abroad with the proceeds. There in a foreign land he wasted his inheritance in careless living. “He spent everything he had. Then a severe famine spread over that country, and he was left without a thing. So he went to work for one of the citizens of that country, who sent him out to his farm to take care of the pigs. He wished he could fill himself with the bean pods the pigs ate, but no one gave him anything to eat.” Luke 15:14-16.

This prodigal son became very hungry in a foreign land and had no one to run to. He had to take up a caregiver job in a pigry which couldn’t take care of his feeding, not to talk of other needs. In his acute suffering, he remembered that where he came from, there was more than enough to go round. Even servants who worked under his father had more than enough. At this point, he realised that he had made mistakes and decided to return to the father and plead for forgiveness, so that he could work as a hired servant because he knew that he had failed the father and brought his family shame. But the reception he got from the father back home and the joy and celebration of the father was beyond his expectation.

“‘Father,’ the son said, ‘I have sinned against God and against you. I am no longer fit to be called your son.’ But the father called his servants. ‘Hurry!’ he said. ‘Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and shoes on his feet. Then go and get the prize calf and kill it, and let us celebrate with a feast! For this son of mine was dead, but now he is alive; he was lost, but now he has been found.’ And so the feasting began.” Luke 15:21-24. There are lessons to learn from this story. The first one is that God is not looking for perfect, but sincere men. The wasteful son wasn’t perfect, bur sincere enough to realise his mistake and acknowledge same. Secondly, he took the right decision to discard shame and return to the father to work as a servant this time. We must always realise and acknowledge our shortcomings when dealing with him who knows all things. On a last note for today, God can never reject a repentant soul. If we return to him in repentance, he will always receive us with joy and give us another chance to correct our mistakes.

Prayer : Thank you Father God because your love can never fail. Today I return to you and acknowledge my shortcomings and unfaithfulness in the things you committed to my care. I return to you in repentance. Help me to do what is right from today in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
