ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.
Friday September 26th, 2025.
Topic : Make The Lord Your Refuge.
Memory Verse :Psalms 91:13. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Bible Reading : Psalms 91:14-16 KJV. Key Verse: v15.
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
There are scholars who submit that this Psalms was written by Moses. While another school of thought believe that Psalms 91 was penned down by David to highlight some of the numerous benefits we enjoy when we serve the Lord. “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.” Psalms 91:1-5.
The first thing to note here is the Lord himself is a spiritual territory and mighty fortress where men take refuge for safety. Like a mother hen or bird, he desires to gather us under the shadow of his mighty and secure wings where the enemy is not able to access us for any reason. We also need to observe that the key to staying there is in intimate relationship. This intimate relationship is what gives God the legal ground to defend us by engaging our enemies wherever they rise up against us like a flood. This is the secret behind the invincibility of the believer. “Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.” Psalms 91:5-10.
Today Jesus is telling us that he is our sure ground of protection, if only we can make up our minds to trust him enough as to hide ourselves and all we possess in him. Many people in our days are living in fear of the unknown ; they fear everything around them except God. Anytime men think they have what it takes to live their lives outside the protective covering of the almighty, such individuals end up being afraid of things that would have been afraid of themselves, because they lack the truth which is a shield and a buckler to us. Those who serve the Lord and live with him and for him is secured with an assurance of walking in the company of his mighty angels who excel in strength. These angels are detailed by heaven to guard and help us fulfil divine purpose here on earth. The knowledge of God therefore delivers men from a life of fear, defeat and terror. Daniel rightly submitted that those who know their God, will be strong and will definitely walk in the realms of exploits in their lifetime. This means that the call to walk with the Lord upon the life of a man is a call to live a life of impact and victory.
Prayer : Thank you Father God because you are my shield and my hiding place. From today, I make up my mind to walk with you and hide myself in you. Thank you for keeping me by your word that cannot fail. Thank you for being my protection and making me walk in the paths of safety all my days in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
Yearly Bible Reading : Luke 23:32-49.
