Topic : Praying To Get Results.

Memory Verse :‭‭ Luke 18:1. Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

Bible Reading :‭Luke 18:2-4 NIV‬. Key Verse: v3.

He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think,

In summary, Jesus Christ taught us here in the quoted text that prayer should be the lifestyle of his followers. He meant to let us understand that when we are praying, we shouldn’t give up for any reason till we can see the manifestation of answers. I have personally discovered that no praying man fails in life. Again there’s no prayers we pray as children of God that he doesn’t answer, but sometimes the answers may not appear the way we want it. ‭‭“This is what the Lord says, he who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it—the Lord is his name: Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ Jeremiah 33:2-3.

This right of this widow we read about was being trampled upon and she didn’t have what it takes to rrecover what belonged to her. She needed the intervention of a higher power who is the judge in order to get her rights enforced against the forces of denial. Initially, the judge didn’t have her time. On her own side, she ignored the attitude of the judge and kept on pressing. The judge had to attend to her needs so that himself could have some respite. Jesus wants us to understand that there’s power in being consistent before God in whatever we do that must produce desired results. If the judge that had no regard for God and men could help at last because of the consistency of the helpless widow, how much more will God who is our father and the judge of the universe defend our course when we talk to him in prayers always.

Jesus Christ himself while on earth lived a prayerful life. He taught the disciples the rudiments of prayer in Mathew 6:5-15. On other occasions, he took some of them along to his personal place of his tmprayer for them to learn first hand. On a final note, we need to understand that if we are not consistent in prayers, the enemy of our soul may trample on our rights as believers. When we don’t give up, the judge of the universe will always vindicate or give his own victory.

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus because power belongs to you. Thank you for the power that is in prayers. From today, let my prayer life be on fire. Help me to always pray to enforce your will over my life and people around me in Jesus wonderful name.
.. Amen 🙏🏿.

Divine Intervention.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Wednesday 6th March, 2024.

Topic : Divine Intervention.

Bible Reading :‭2 Kings 7:3-5 NIV‬. Key Verse :v6.

Now there were four men with leprosy at the entrance of the city gate. They said to each other, “Why stay here until we die? If we say, ‘We’ll go into the city’—the famine is there, and we will die. And if we stay here, we will die. So let’s go over to the camp of the Arameans and surrender. If they spare us, we live; if they kill us, then we die.” At dusk they got up and went to the camp of the Arameans. When they reached the edge of the camp, no one was there,

This time the people of Syria came to war against Samaria. They laid siege against the people of God. That made it impossible for the people of Samaria to relate with the outside world in commerce, industry and trade (economic blockadep). The hunger in the land became so terrible that women lost their mind and began to eat their children. ‭‭”There was a great famine in the city; the siege lasted so long that a donkey’s head sold for eighty shekels of silver, and a quarter of a cab of seed pods for five shekels. As the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried to him, “Help me, my lord the king!” The king replied, “If the Lord does not help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing floor? From the winepress?” Then he asked her, “What’s the matter?” She answered, “This woman said to me, ‘Give up your son so we may eat him today, and tomorrow we’ll eat my son.’ So we cooked my son and ate him. The next day I said to her, ‘Give up your son so we may eat him,’ but she had hidden him.” 2 Kings 6:25-29.

Instead of the king to seek the face of the Lord in repentance for their rebellion and wickedness that made the Lord hand them over to their enemies, he went for the head of Elisha, from whose mouth the Lord had given them warnings which they never heeded. When the messengers of death arrived at Elisha’s, the Lord gave a message of hope that some people was tempted to doubt based on reality. ‭‭”Elisha replied, “Hear the word of the Lord. This is what the Lord says: About this time tomorrow, a seah of the finest flour will sell for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria.” The officer on whose arm the king was leaning said to the man of God, “Look, even if the Lord should open the floodgates of the heavens, could this happen?” “You will see it with your own eyes,” answered Elisha, “but you will not eat any of it!”2 Kings 7:1-2.

Because able bodied men were jittery and in doubt, God bypassed them to use hungry, incapacitated and dying lepers to deliver the land. ‭‭”At dusk they got up and went to the camp of the Arameans. When they reached the edge of the camp, no one was there, for the Lord had caused the Arameans to hear the sound of chariots and horses and a great army, so that they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired the Hittite and Egyptian kings to attack us!” So they got up and fled in the dusk and abandoned their tents and their horses and donkeys. They left the camp as it was and ran for their lives.” 2 Kings 7:5-7. Today, every stubborn challenges you are facing will hear the sound of divine intervention and give way by the mercies of God

Prayer :Thank you Father God because you are the captain of my warfare. This day have mercy on me and deliver me from every trouble that came upon me by reason of divine judgement. In your mighty mercy, let every siege of the wicked against my soul be broken now by divine intervention in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Partnership That Secures Your Future

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Tuesday 5th March, 2024.

Topic: Partnership That Secures Your Future.

Memory Verse: ‭‭Matthew 6:20. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

Bible Reading :‭ 2 Corinthians 8:1-3 NIV‬. Key Verse: v2.

And now, brothers and sisters, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own,

The Macedonian churches did something that touched Apostle Paul. They were very generous in giving their substance to support the work of God committed to his care in difficult or trying times, though they were not men of affluence. The people took steps to give beyond the expectation of the Apostle himself. Now he began to use them as a reference point to teach others. ‭‭”For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people. And they exceeded our expectations: They gave themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will of God also to us.” 2 Corinthians 8:3-5.

Many people in our churches are busy asking God for many things they want him to do for them. They also forget that God has needs. There are things he wants done on earth which will never be done except he is able to lay hands on someone who is willing to be used in that direction. Many believers seem not to understand that one of the easiest ways to warm ourselves into the heart of God is by discovering those things he wants done as God which he needs to lay hands on a man to accomplish and get them done. ‭‭”The people of the land practice extortion and commit robbery; they oppress the poor and needy and mistreat the foreigner, denying them justice. “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one . So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord.” Ezekiel 22:29-31.

In above scriptures, we see God looking for a praying man or intercessor for his generational need to be met and found none as everyone minded his business and household. Today God is also looking for sons/daughters of consolation. Men that will inconvenience themselves where necessary to make sure the need of preaching the gospel to every creature and in every nation and language is met. When our love for God and his kingdom moves us to give sacrificially to his work, we form a partnership with the master that secures our financial future. Such people understands how to take advantage of the poverty of Jesus to tap into his riches. “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.” John 15:1-2.

Prayer :Thank you Father because you are a loving master. Today open my eyes to see those your needs around me that I can meet. Help me to always partner with you to enforce your plan and purpose in my generation. Thank you for using me in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

God First

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS

Monday February 4th, 2024.

Topic : God First.

Memory Verse:‭‭ .‭‭Genesis 22:5. He said to his servants, “Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you.”

Bible Reading : ‭Genesis 22:2-4 NIV‬. Key Verse: v3.

Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.” Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about. On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance.

This was a very difficult test that the Lord gave to father Abraham. God took him from his father’s house to a foreign land, a land where he learnt to depend on God for everything instead of his own people. God fulfilled his promises of blessing him in everything, except child bearing. He had to patiently wait in unwavering trust till God came through for him and Isaac, the son of promise was born. As Abraham settled down with joy to raise his son of promise before the Lord, this very difficult test was handed to him one day as he spent time in God’s presence. This test was all about his love and commitment to God. God wanted to know what he valued most in his heart. The only reason he was able to obey God was because God came first in his order of priorities rather than the blessing who is Isaac.

‭‭
“So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul— then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil. I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied. Be careful, or you will be enticed to turn away and worship other gods and bow down to them. Then the Lord’s anger will burn against you, and he will shut up the heavens so that it will not rain and the ground will yield no produce, and you will soon perish from the good land the Lord is giving you.” Deuteronomy 11:13-17.

Today we have understanding that idols are not just images or woodworks kept somewhere that misinformed men bow down to worship. We know that they include anything that takes the place of God in our lives. An idol is anything that can make a man to disobey God. Abraham was able to prove to the Lord that though he loved his son whom he patiently waited for about 25 years, that Isaac didn’t have what it takes to make him disobey God and put a clog in the wheel of his relationship with God. Today we need to understand that men are praying for blessing everywhere, but God himself is looking for men whom he will decorate with enormous riches and wealth, who will be mature enough not to allow what God gives them to exercise control over them as to become an idol in their hearts. “I make a vow by my own name — the Lord is speaking — that I will richly bless you. Because you did this and did not keep back your only son from me, I promise that I will give you as many descendants as there are stars in the sky or grains of sand along the seashore. Your descendants will conquer their enemies.” Genesis 22:16-17.

Prayer : Thank you Father God for using men of old to teach me wisdom in my relationship with you. I pray that you help me to to love and put first in everything I do. Don’t allow anything you have blessed me with become an idol to me in Jesus wonderful name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Enforcing God’s Will.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Sunday March 3rd, 2024.

Topic: Enforcing God’s Will.

Memory Verse :James 4:6. But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Bible Reading :James 4:2-5. Key Verse: v3.

Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?

Prayer is one of the things we are called to engage in as believers as a lifestyle. In prayer we talk to God in order to receive from him because he is our source in everything. This implies that we look upto him for the supply of our needs. Even God himself encouraged us to always ask in the name of Jesus the Christ in his word in order to always receive. But we need to understand that God will not always grant our requests when they are motivated by our selfishness and lustful lifestyles. We have to be careful here in our asking because some of the things we put ahead of God’s will in the place of prayer can become an idol to us because they steal our hearts from genuine and heartfelt service to him. This happens when our desires falls short of God’s will for our lives and our generation. This certainly can lead to unanswered prayers in the life of believers.

We must learn to discern therefore the will of God in the place of prayer as to align with hm in order to enforce divine purpose. “And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.” Luke 11:2. This means that our focus in the place of prayer should be to make sure that God’s will is done on earth and not ours. This end time, there’s need for praying men to arise to agree with God for his purpose to find fulfillment here on earth, as the people occupying till he comes.

“Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:18-20. We as people of God need to understand the authority Jesus willed to us here on earth to determine what happens and what won’t happen at any given time or places. As believers, whatever we allow is what happens and whatsoever we disallow, heaven will always uphold in our lives and in the lives of others around us including his kingdom generally. When we join our voice to pray in unity of purpose, there’s no power anywhere that can stop us from having our way when we are in line with God’s purpose. When we understand this, we will be able to take territories for Jesus standing on his word that is reliable.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for your saving grace that qualified me to represent you here on earth. From today help me to live upto my responsibilities before you in the place of prayer. Help me to always discern your will and agree with you, so that your will always prevail in every situation in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

You Need His Presence

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Saturday March 2nd, 2024.

Topic : You Need His Presence.

Memory Verse:‭‭Exodus‬ ‭33:14‬. The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Bible Reading :‭‭Exodus‬ ‭13:20‭-‬22‬ ‭NIV‬‬. Key Verse : v21.

After leaving Sukkoth they camped at Etham on the edge of the desert. By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.

For the first time, the people of Israel breathed their first air of liberty after many years of acute slavery in Egypt. Even as they left the land of Egypt and began to take their first steps to the land of promise, Pharaoh was not
done with them. He had plans to go after them in order to bring them back to bondage against God’s will. God knowing the challenges the people of Israel will encounter on their way had to fortify them with his presence ahead of time. This presence of the almighty manifested as pillar of cloud in the day and pillar of fire at night. In the day their enemies were unable to see through the cloud, even at night they couldn’t dare the fire that followed the people of God. In the day, the sun gave them light while the pillar of cloud was for their protection. While at night, the cloud will turn to fire to still protect them as well as illuminate their environment, so that they could see clearly day and night to engage in any activities of their choice.

This divine presence as manifested in their journey was key to all the supernatural interventions they enjoyed throughout their journey in the wilderness. ‭‭”Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years .” Deuteronomy‬ ‭8:2‭-‬4‬ ‭.

This new month, all you need to succeed is the same presence of the almighty that followed the people of old and gave them fearful results and testimonies. The presence of God will make the difference in the midst of troubles and challenges of life. Many who travel without that presence will soon discover that their human capacity and ability can fail short of requirements in the face of certain challenges. “those the Lord blesses will inherit the land, but those he curses will be destroyed. though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand. I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.” Psalms‬ ‭37:22‬.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for bringing me into a new month. I ask that this month and the rest of my life, your presence that makes things to fall in right places at the right time will be my portion. Thank you because every challenges of life bows to your presence in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Becoming A Kingdom Treasure.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Friday March 1st, 2024.

Topic : Becoming A Kingdom Treasure.

Memory Verse:: 1 Peter 2:4. So keep coming to him who is the Living Stone—though he was rejected and discarded by men but chosen by God and is priceless in God’s sight.

Bible Reading : 1 Peter 2:1-3. Key Verse : v2.

So abandon every form of evil, deceit, hypocrisy, feelings of jealousy and slander. In the same way that nursing infants cry for milk, you must intensely crave the pure spiritual milk of God’s Word. For this “milk” will cause you to grow into maturity, fully nourished and strong for life— especially now that you have had a taste of the goodness of the Lord Jehovah and have experienced his kindness.

Grace is sweet in the sense that it delivers what we didn’t merit. The intention of God in introducing grace in his dealings with mankind is to let us have first hand experience of his goodness. This experience is targeted at igniting a hunger in us for more of God’s goodness in our lifetime. Though this dimension of God that is called goodness is always functional and available for all to enjoy, it takes some level of maturity to access this realm in full measure. The more maturity you are able to exhibit in your relationship with God, the more you qualify to access the depths of his goodness to mankind. On the other hand, maturity itself is by choice, desire or hunger. It doesn’t happen accidentally. Men consciously walk towards it daily when the hunger is there. Peter here gives us a very important factor that will help us grow into maturity, which is depends heavily on our ability to exhibit hunger for the pure word of God. “Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
Matthew‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭NIV‬‬.

Another factor that affect growth and maturity is our ability to be students of the Spirit. Students of the Spirit are men/women who live their live their lives in the consciousness that they are spirit beings and therefore does whatever is necessary to pay attention to things of the Spirit of God. Their interaction with the Spirit of God who is a higher Spirit empowers then spirit man to access divine resources in return. This they do by consciously and constantly engaging in spiritual exercises that helps them maintain a healthy and vibrant spiritual life. ‭”Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.” Romans‬ ‭8:5‭-‬8‬ ‭NIV‬‬.

Today God’s will is the we grow to become a place of his habitation. He wants to live in us and operate through us as his children. There’s a priestly function all us are called into which we can’t be effective in except we grow into maturity. The more mature we are, the more effective we can operate in our priestly office as ordained by grace. When we become very efficient in this office, we will be able the display the beauty of heaven here on earth. That’s when we become the living stones that form a heavenly house where the blessings of our royalty becomes real and visible to all. At this point, you become a treasure to the kingdom because of the value you add to the lives of others. “But you are God’s chosen treasure—priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world. For at one time you were not God’s people, but now you are. At one time you knew nothing of God’s mercy, because you hadn’t received it yet, but now you are drenched with it!” 1 Peter 2:9-10.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for your glorious plan for my life. From today help me to understand that am a spirit being. Help me to take care of my spirit man as to mature and become effective and efficient in my priestly office. Let my life be such that will always display your beauty, adding value to your kingdom in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Pray Your Way To Victory.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Thursday February 29th, 2024.

Topic: Pray Your Way To Victory.

Memory Verse:Ephesians 6:10. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Bible Reading :Ephesians 6:11-13. Key Verse: v12.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

After Apostle Paul opened our eyes to what God did for us in Christ Jesus in the earlier chapters of book of Ephesians, he tried to let us understand as he rounds up that there are some unavoidable battles we need to engage in as believers in order to enjoy the full benefits or blessings in the gift of God to mankind who is Jesus Christ his son. These battles are real and we don’t have any choice but to play our roles as believers anywhere we find ourselves, if we don’t want to be victims. On a very important note, we need to approach this battle with every available seriousness because it will determine how far we can go in life. We have to stand in the strength of Christ and with full understanding of what he has done for us through his death and resurrection. We need to understand that the best things of the kingdom belongs to strong men. That is men that take their walk God as serious business and therefore decide to invest everything within their reach to make it work and produce results. “And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits .” Daniel 11:32.

Another step we need to take is to put the whole amours of God as listed in this chapter because every armour has a very important role to play in our engagements. The enemy is constantly throwing one arrow or another, the only way to be kept from these arrows are to be protected by the armours of the Spirit. Now on the side of our enemies are spiritual forces of wickedness who operate to quench the joy of many and turn it into sorrow. They want to steal the blessings of people and replace it with curses and destroy good things coming the ways of men. ” The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” John 10:10-11.

Now we fight in the place of prayer. ” And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray (fight), and not to faint ; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.”Luke 18:1-5. We have to be consistent in prayer. No praying man or woman fails in life. It doesn’t matter how fierce the battle may seem. If we can pray and not give up, God will always be there to answer.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for giving me Jesus your son. Thank you for all that Jesus did for me through his death and resurrection. Help me to be a strong man in you by the help of your Spirit at work in me. Help me to be consistent in prayer, so that all the benefits in Christ Jesus becomes manifest in my life in Jesus wonderful name… Amen 🙏🏿.

Pay Attention To Your Children

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Wednesday February 28th, 2024.

Topic: Pay Attention To Your Children.

Memory Verse :Proverbs 22:8. He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail.

Bible Reading :Proverbs 22:3-6. Key Verse :v6.

A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life. Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward: he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them. Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Children are precious gifts from God to us. They are like plain sheets in a man’s hands in an examination hall; whatever the holder writes on the plain sheets will at the end determine if he/she will do well in the exam. At the end of it all, people spend same time writing the examination and at the end they will have different scores or results, all depending on what each of them made out the time they spent writing the exam. Just as what we write on the plain paper given to us in an examination determines what we score at the end, in like manner parents determines to a large extent what becomes of their children, depending on things they exposed their children to by way of training or upbringing. The word of God is very plain about it here that they will always follow what they were taught (not depart from it).

There are many sides to child upbringing. One of them is providing their basic necessities like food, shelter, education, etc. for a child for proper development. Beyond that, the first important factor in child training that is very important is family values. There’s is need for parents to have a second look at the standards we set in our homes. What are the things ourselves do before the children who learns faster by what they see than what they are told? As parents, we should know that we are the first teachers the children learns from in life to shape their future. When parents therefore have weak or wrong value system in their home, it will take the special grace of God for anything good to come of the children. For example, if we have a family where money gotten anyhow or by all means is celebrated, children from such homes can do anything to make money, even if it means using others or any of their loved ones for ritual purposes. A second important factor in child training is the ability to teach a child what is right from the right time or stage, when it won’t be late. A child will never know what is right or wrong in life on his /her own from the womb, they will always learn such from their parents. One of the most ingredient here that we must not miss is correction or discipline, if the child must have a good future that can guarantee the peace of the parents. “Although rebellion is woven into a young man’s heart, tough discipline can make him into a man.” Proverbs 22:15 TPT.

When we talk about training the child or children, our mothers have huge responsibility here as the ones that spend more time with children most time and who understands them better and knows their deeper secrets more than anyone else. Many children became failures in life because their mum shielded them when they were learning or getting involved in wrong things. They withhold the rod of correction from the child till it becomes late. Some women go to the extent of not allowing their husband discipline their children when they do wrong things till it becomes late. That is one of the reasons some homes are in shambles because the man is unhappy that the wife didn’t allow him to correct the children at the right time and now they have grown to be a problem to the parents instead of giving them joy. “Make no mistake about it, God will never be mocked! For what you plant will always be the very thing you harvest. The harvest you reap reveals the seed that was planted. If you plant the corrupt seeds of self – life into this natural realm, you can expect to experience a harvest of corruption. If you plant the good seeds of Spirit-life you will reap the beautiful fruits that grow from the everlasting life of the Spirit.” Galatians 6:7-8 TPT.

Prayer:Thank you Father God for blessing us with children. Help me not to fall you in their upbringing. I receive grace to raise my children to love and serve you. I covenant them all to you today, they are for signs and wonders in Jesus wonderful name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic: Serving With Right Mindset.

Memory Verse:Acts 8:19. saying, “I want this power too. I’m willing to pay you for the anointing that you have, so that I also can lay my hands on everyone to receive the Holy Spirit.”

Bible Reading :Acts 8:16-18. Key Verse: v15.

For they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus and were yet to have the Holy Spirit fall upon them. As soon as Peter and John arrived, they laid their hands on the Samaritan believers, one after another, and the Holy Spirit fell and filled each one of them! When Simon saw how the Holy Spirit was released through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he approached them and offered them money,

The early church came under intense persecution in Jerusalem under the supervision of Saul who later became Paul (the preacher). After Stephen was killed, Saul continued to unleash havoc on believers by getting arrest warrants and entering anywhere he desired to pick up and detain believers at will. That csused many believers to migrate to other cities in the region of Judea. Their migration became intrumental to spread the gospel message among the people in the region, God backing their preaching with his mighty works. In the heat of the highthened persecution, Philip went to Samaria and did a remarkable work that led to the conversion of a notable magician named Simon who had bewitched the entire city with his magical arts was converted. “Even Simon believed and was baptized! Wherever Philip went, Simon was right by his side, astounded by all the miracles, signs, and enormous displays of power that he witnessed. When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that the Samaritans had accepted God’s message of life, they sent Peter and John to pray over them so that they would receive the Holy Spirit.” Acts 8:13-15.

When Simon observed how the people were being filled with the Holy Spirit, he offered money to the Apostles that they might give him this power to use and continue from where he stopped in his magical past. Before this time, he had been able acquire demonic powers to operate with by paying money to agents of darkness to cumulative power for his satanic operations. “When Simon saw how the Holy Spirit was released through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he approached them and offered them money, saying, “I want this power too. I’m willing to pay you for the anointing that you have, so that I also can lay my hands on everyone to receive the Holy Spirit.” Peter rebuked him and said, “Your money will go with you to destruction! How could you even think that you could purchase God’s supernatural gift with money?” Acts 8:18-20.

“You will never have this gift or take part in this ministry, for your heart is not right with God. Repent this moment for allowing such wickedness to fill you. Plead with the Lord that perhaps he would forgive you the treachery of your heart. For I discern that jealous envy has poisoned you and binds you as a captive to sin.” Acts 8:21-23. The rebuke of Apostle Peter corrected his perverted mind and he pleaded that these words be cancelled to avoid their fulfillment in his life. Today we have to understand the the power of God is not for money making purposes, neither is it for demonstration. One of the reasons there is much confusion in many places today is that many are trying to commercialise the gift of God while others are using using unclean spirits to deceive people to prove how powerful they are. All these are happening because of greed of the last days. If God must use a man maximally, his intentions must be right before the Lord. The power of God is to used to glorify Jesus and not to fan to ego of any human being.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for giving me your Spirit. Today help me to take advantage of your Spirit to be more productive in the kingdom. Help me to always serve with a mindset to honour and glory Jesus. Keep me from vainglory all my days in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
