Suffering Persecution And Patience

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Sunday June 30th, 2024.

Topic : Suffering Persecution And Patience.

Memory Verse : ‭1 Peter 4:16, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.

Bible Reading :‭1 Peter 4:12-14 MSG Key Verse : v13.

Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner. If you’re abused because of Christ, count yourself fortunate. It’s the Spirit of God and his glory in you that brought you to the notice of others.

As we draw the curtain on qualities of a disciple, we shall look at two important ones today. It’s good to point out that they can’t be exhausted these few Sundays. The first we are looking at today is our readiness to suffer persecution because of Jesus. Followers of Christ sometimes do come under attack because of their faith. The cross has an ugly side which gave birth to the blessing that it carries, which is suffering. The experience of the cross was very painful before it could birth redemption. When we truly follow Jesus, at some point in time, we are bound to encounter enemies of the cross, men who hate God and his ways. Such individuals are bound to put up a fight against us and what we stand for in him, which will always be contrary to their way of doing things. God himself permits such in order to use such situations to work out a better us. “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Romans 5:3-5 KJV.

Another important attribute of a discipleshp is patience. “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” Hebrews 10:35-36 KJV. God’s blessings comes by promises. Promises are like seeds that takes time to germinate, grow and yield fruits. When a farmer puts a seed in the soil, he doesn’t go to sleep, but takes time to care for the seed by watering it when needed, clearing weeds that may hinder proper growth, etc. In all these, he patiently labours to care for his precious seed till the time of harvest which always vary, depending on the type of seed. Father Abraham is a living example of patience. He was promised a child and it took 25 years before this promise was fulfilled. That didn’t make him to stop following God. He remained with God till the word of promise came to pass in his life as Isaac was finally born. We have to note here that patience is a practical expression of our faith, trust and confidence in God to deliver.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for counting me worthy to be your follower. Help me be ready to suffer for you if need be at any point in time. Help me to hold on to your promises till their full manifestion in my life in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Living In God’s Love.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Saturday June 29th, 2024.

Topic : Living In God’s Love.

Memory Verse :
John 17:23. You live fully in me and now I live fully in them so that they will experience perfect unity, and the world will be convinced that you have sent me, for they will see that you love each one of them with the same passionate love that you have for me.

Bible Reading : John 17:20-22 TPT. Key Verse : v21.

“And I ask not only for these disciples, but also for all those who will one day believe in me through their message. I pray for them all to be joined together as one even as you and I, Father, are joined together as one. I pray for them to become one with us so that the world will recognize that you sent me. For the very glory you have given to me I have given them so that they will be joined together as one and experience the same unity that we enjoy.

By this time Jesus Christ was rounding up his earthly ministry. Therefore he began to prepare the disciples for what lay ahead of them in a life without his physical presence. Now in this chapter seventeen of John he prayed one of the most heartfelt prayer that shaped our relationship with the God head. If you look at Christianity around the world, you will observe that the prayers he made to God in this chapter is at work. We need to study this prayer of this chapter and as to do everything possible to live our Christian lives anchored on the reliable answers to this prayers which began to manifest in the lives of the disciples in full measure from the day of pentecost when God came down from heaven to live in man permanently. “Then all at once a pillar of fire appeared before their eyes. It separated into tongues of fire that engulfed each one of them. They were all filled and equipped with the Holy Spirit and were inspired to speak in tongues—empowered by the Spirit to speak in languages they had never learned!” Acts 2:3-4.

In his prayer to the father, Jesus made specific requests we must live in the consciousness of daily to make our earthly lives worthwhile. The first thing I want us to realise here is that all he requested from the father here was for everyone that will ever believe in his name till he returns. Now, observe here that Jesus specifically desired that we live a life of union with the God head. Just the way the father, son and Spirit are one, we became the fourth personality in the union. This union is what qualified us to carry his glory here on earth. That is the primary reason the Holy Spirit is given to us as a mark or seal of ownership. He is the carrier of the glory of God that beautifies the lives of men on earth. “But God still loved us with such great love. He is so rich in compassion and mercy. Even when we were dead and doomed in our many sins, he united us into the very life of Christ and saved us by his wonderful grace! He raised us up with Christ the exalted One, and we ascended with him into the glorious perfection and authority of the heavenly realm, for we are now co-seated as one with Christ!” Ephesians 2:4-6.

“So with deep love, I pray for my disciples. I’m not asking on behalf of the unbelieving world, but for those who belong to you, those you have given me. For all who belong to me now belong to you. And all who belong to you now belong to me as well, and my glory is revealed through their surrendered lives. “Holy Father, I am about to leave this world to return and be with you, but my disciples will remain here. So I ask that by the power of your name, protect each one that you have given me, and watch over them so that they will be united as one, even as we are one.” John 17:9-11. On a final note today, I want us to realise that we are not without protection, no matter the level of wickedness that operate in our world. Jesus asked the father to keep us from the evil one and his wicked forces working with him. Specifically he asked that his name should be our defense. That is the reason we bear his name as family members. At his name every knee bows. “From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.” Psalms 61:2-4 KJV. See Proverbs 18:10.

Prayer : Thank you Lord Jesus for all you have done for me. Thank you for your love that is deeper than any explanations. Thank you for making me one with you. Thank you for your protection over my life and all that belongs to me in Jesus wonderful name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Walking In Victory.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Friday June 28th, 2024.

Topic : Walking In Victory.

Memory Verse : ‭Proverbs 4:23. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. (KJV)

Bible Reading : ‭2 Corinthians 10:3-5 NIV‬. Key Verse: v4.

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

I once heard a man of God say that life is a warfare and not a funfare. I also read a book by Dick Eastman titled No Easy Road. The book is worth reading and it focuses on prayer. It teaches that prayer is not an easy task, it demands commitment and men who want to pray to influence things on earth by the power of God should be ready to pay the price. Having said that, now we live a world full of all kinds of powers, interests, arguments, etc. All of them are trying to catch our attention and gain our acceptance as to exercise control over us as individuals. These battles most time takes place in our minds in the form of thoughts that prop up in our minds. The enemy we know doesn’t have the capacity to read our minds, but he project thoughts into the mind of people. At the same time, we have what it takes to accept or reject such thoughts. Therefore what we are responsible to control what we enters our minds because at the end they will influence the way we behave and things we do.

Now man is made up three components; spirit, soul and body. The flesh is a housing of the real thing (the soul). The spirit is the breath of God that gave man life which returns to him at the end of our earthly life. The soul is where the real expression of the man is. The soul is the one that goes for reward or punishment depending on how we lived our lives here on earth. Now we can be ruled by our flesh or spirit man, depending on the one we nurture to take charge or control of our soul. “The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.” Romans 8:7-9.

To live victorious therefore we need to understand the nature of man and the battles of life as to fight from the point of victory. No man can win the battles of life by his flesh of physical power and ability. Rather we walk in victory when we align with the father of all spirits. At this point he leads to walk by the victory of the cross. His Spirit empowering our own spirit makes us walk in divine wisdom and strength that the enemy is helpless about. We must also learn to build walls of protection (faith) around our hearts or thought life using the bricks of the word of God. The word is the right instrument that has capacity to shield our hearts, minds or thought life from the incursions of the wicked one when he throws his darts to puncture our confidence in the Lord. We anchor our battles on our knees through prayer. No praying man fails in life, be assured. ‭”“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Joshua 1:7-8.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for loving me and giving me all it takes to be victorious daily in this life. Help me to also fight alongside you using every resources you have made available to me through Jesus Christ my saviour. I worship you for you have done for me in Jesus blessed name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

The Beauty Of Knowing Him By Revelation

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Wednesday June 26th, 2024.

Topic : The Beauty Of Knowing Him By Revelation.

Memory Verse : 2 Peter 1:2. May grace and perfect peace cascade over you as you live in the rich knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

Bible Reading : Matthew 16:15-17. Key Verse: v17.

“But you—who do you say that I am?” Jesus asked. Simon Peter spoke up and said, “You are the Anointed One, the Son of the living God!” Jesus replied, “You are favored and privileged Simeon, son of Jonah! For you didn’t discover this on your own, but my Father in heaven has supernaturally revealed it to you.

Now Jesus was alone with his disciples and began to ask them whom men thought he was. They began to feed him back that some take him to be John the Baptist, others Elijah, Jeremiah or any of the great Prophets come back to life. After that, he wanted to know from their own perspective, whom themselves following him thought he was, because Jesus wanted them to follow with understanding. It was then that Peter spoke up to reveal that he was Christ the awaited Messiah. ““But you—who do you say that I am?” Jesus asked. Simon Peter spoke up and said, “You are the Anointed One, the Son of the living God!” Jesus replied, “You are favored and privileged Simeon, son of Jonah! For you didn’t discover this on your own, but my Father in heaven has supernaturally revealed it to you.” Matthew 16:15-17.

Even in our days, Jesus desires that we all follow him with understanding of whom he really is and what he can do in our lives. If you don’t know in reality whom he is and he is what he is upto in your life, the enemy will be happy to shortchange you, to make sure you don’t get the best he has in stock for you in your lifetime. The truth is that life in general and even the kingdom of God is regulated by knowledge. On the part of the kingdom itself, it’s knowledge is hidden because it is regulated by different set of rules compared to everyday life and engagements. At some point in the Bible, Jesus described things of the kingdom as hidden treasure in a field. At another point Apostle Paul referred to the wisdom of God also as hidden wisdom. This is because the kingdom offers more than what any man can see on the surface, no matter how sharp his eyes may be. “Instead, we continually speak of this wonderful wisdom that comes from God, hidden before now in a mystery. It is his secret plan, destined before the ages, to bring us into glory.”” 1 Corinthians 2:7 TPT.

These hidden things of the kingdom of God including the knowledge of Jesus who is God can only be received by revelation and by the help of the Spirit of God. Such revelation most time responds to hunger. When we have a hunger within us to know the truth about Jesus Christ and the kingdom of God, we should are pushed to study and pray inquisitively. Today, we need to develop a hunger for truth. Never be confused about God, the truth and his plan for your life including whom Jesus really is and what his presence can do in your life. The more you have understanding of Jesus and his plan for your life through revelation, the more your life is empowered to fulfil purpose and to walk in the paths of true greatness. “None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him— these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:8-10 NIV‬.

Prayer : Thank you Father God because of the good and wonderful plan you have for my life in Christ Jesus. From today open my eyes to understand whom you are and your plan for my life. Help me to follow your plan as to get the best of you in my lifetime in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Taking Charge In The Place Of Prayer

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Tuesday June 25th, 2024.

Topic :Taking Charge In The Place Of Prayer.

Memory Verse :‭2 Samuel 15:31. Now David had been told, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” So David prayed, “Lord, turn Ahithophel’s counsel into foolishness.”

‭2 Samuel 15:12-14 NIV‬. Key Verse: v15.

While Absalom was offering sacrifices, he also sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counselor, to come from Giloh, his hometown. And so the conspiracy gained strength, and Absalom’s following kept on increasing. A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.” Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.”

When Absalom rebelled against David his father, one of the men that made his camp thick was Ahithophel. Ahithophel was a counsellor who stood out from among his equals. He was endowed to a point where his counsel hardly fails to produce result, when followed. Now when King David heard that Ahithophel joined the camp of Absalom his son in his revolt, he knew that he was in serious trouble. David had to pray as well as infiltrate the camp of Absalom to counter the ecounsel of Ahithophel. “Go back to the city and say to Absalom, ‘I’m ready to be your servant, O King; I used to be your father’s servant, now I’m your servant.’ Do that and you’ll be able to confuse Ahithophel’s counsel for me. The priests Zadok and Abiathar are already there; whatever information you pick up in the palace, tell them. Their two sons—Zadok’s son Ahimaaz and Abiathar’s son Jonathan—are there with them—anything you pick up can be sent to me by them.” 2 Samuel 15:34-36 MSG

“Absalom and all his company agreed that the counsel of Hushai the Arkite was better than the counsel of Ahithophel. (God had determined to discredit the counsel of Ahithophel so as to bring ruin on Absalom.) Then Hushai told the priests Zadok and Abiathar, “Ahithophel advised Absalom and the elders of Israel thus and thus, and I advised them thus and thus. Now send this message as quickly as possible to David: ‘Don’t spend the night on this side of the river; cross immediately or the king and everyone with him will be swallowed up alive.'” 2 Samuel 17:14-16 MSG. Ahithophel had given a counsel that would have finished David. He wanted Absalom to permit him to appoint an army of twelve thousand men to overrun the camp of David who was exhausted trying to escape to safely by night when he should be resting with the men in his camp. That would have taken king David unawares and unprepared. That was meant just to eliminate king David as to establish the throne of Absalom over Israel.

Today we need to become conscious of economic and political alignments taking place around us that will affect the way we live and do things in the nation God planted us and around the globe in general. We may not really have the capacity to infiltrate their camp as it may, but we can always come together as the body of Christ to exercise the authority Jesus had given to us as his representatives here on earth. I can see some alignments and agreements going on in Nigeria and some parts of the globe that we need to take up in the place of prayer. Never forget that what happens in the political and economic space anywhere you are will always affect you, whether you like it or not. “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:18-19 KJV.

Prayer : Thank you Father God because our peace and prosperity is dependent on the peace of the land where you planted me (us). I pray that any political or economic alignments going that will not favour me and the cause of your kingdom be nuliffied today in Jesus mighty name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Need For Men Of Genuine Encounter And Hunger

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Monday June 24th, 2024.

Topic : Need For Men Of Genuine Encounter And Hunger.

Memory Verse: Philippians 3:7. But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.

‭Philippians 3:1-3 NIV‬. Key Verse : v3.

Further, my brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you. Watch out for those dogs, those evildoers, those mutilators of the flesh. For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh—

There are many practical lessons to learn from the life of Apostle Paul. Indeed the encounter he had with Jesus on his way to Damascus, going as usual with letter of authority to arrest and persecute believer in Christ was a turning point in his life. Everything that followed that experience proved the reality of Jesus and the authenticity of the gospel. At that point, his perspective of life and relationship with and service to God changed. Of course, when he was disrupting the work of God and killing believers, he thought he was working for God. But he suddenly realised that he was working against his creator. ‭”As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. [6] “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” Acts 9:3-6.

The beauty of it all is the transformational change that took place in his life. His old self died and he came alive in newness with Jesus. He really died to self and to the things of this world. That was the major reason he was able to find or receive a new life of glory in Christ. Because of his new found reality, he paid less attention to his personality and previous achievements as a man, so that he could give Jesus Christ, his new found love the best of his life and attention. ‭”But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.” Philippians 3:7-9.

This mindset of Apostle Paul was key to his great achievements and impact on the new testament Church. He had a strong hunger within him to know and have more of Christ, his new found love daily. The Church of Jesus in our days are in dire need of men who are willing to give their walk with God their best and all. Men of genuine encounter with the man of the cross, who had been there with him. Only such set of people can really live for Jesus because they died and arose with his, which experience alters everything about them including their identity and crave for self esteem. ‭”Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do. For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.” Philippians 3:17-18.

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus for your interest in me that made you die for me. From today, I need a fresh encounter with you that will reshape my perspective in life. Plant a genuine hunger for more of you in me through your Spirit in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

The Blessing Of Obedience

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Sunday June 23rd, 2024.

Topic : The Blessing Of Obedience.

Memory Verse : Deuteronomy 7:11. Therefore, take care to follow the commands, decrees and laws I give you today.

‭Deuteronomy 7:12-13 NIV‬. Key Verse : v13.

If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the Lord your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore to your ancestors. He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land—your grain, new wine and olive oil—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.

One of the qualities of a disciple of Jesus Christ is that he obeys his commands. We relate with God in the new testament on the basis of grace. At the same time, we need to understand that grace teaches us to obey the Lord willingly and joyfully. God has never been and can never be pleased with anyone walking in disobedience. Even today, we need to understand that everything God does in the life of his people is determined by our personal response to him. For example, no one can be saved without believing in Jesus Christ. It is a condition for salvation as stipulated by the laws of God which anyone desiring to enjoy salvation as packaged by God in his son must embrace. If anyone thinks he doesn’t need Jesus, he will remain in his sins because the word of God can’t be broken. ‭”Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”” Acts 4:12.

In like manner, we know that the covenant blessings of God belongs to his children or followers. We need to realise at the same time that the condition for us to enjoy the full measure of these blessings in to obey his commands. Now we are following the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave us instructions to follow before returning to heaven, like in the area of evangelism and soul winning. If you watch his earthly life closely, you will discover that he lived to obey or do the will of the father. He wasn’t here to do his own bidding, but at every point in his ministry, he sought to obey the father, even in very difficult and inconvenient situations. “Then he withdrew from them a short distance to be alone. Kneeling down, he prayed, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup of agony away from me. But no matter what, your will must be mine.”” Luke 22:41-42 TPT.

There are many blessings to enjoy from God’s presence when we follow Jesus Christ, if only we are ready to walk in obedience before him. When we confess and claim the blessings of God as contained in his word, we should at the same time be careful to observe as to obey every commandments of the Lord attached to them. We begin to reap the fruits of fellowship and Discipleship at the point of doing the word or putting them into practice. That is when the word releases the capacity to produce results in our hands and lives. “But those who set their gaze deeply into the perfecting law of liberty are fascinated by and respond to the truth they hear and are strengthened by it—they experience God’s blessing in all that they do! If someone believes they have a relationship with God but fails to guard his words then his heart is drifting away and his religion is shallow and empty. True spirituality that is pure in the eyes of our Father God is to make a difference in the lives of the orphans, and widows in their troubles, and to refuse to be corrupted by the world’s values.” James 1:25-27 TPT.

Prayer : Thank you Lord Jesus for living on earth to obey the father. Like yourself, help me by your Spirit to always obey your commands to me, so that your blessings can be real in my daily life in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Everything We Need Is in Christ.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Saturday June 22nd, 2024.

Topic :Everything We Need Is in Christ.

Memory Verse :‭Colossians 2:4 I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments.

Bible Reading : ‭Colossians 2:20-22 NIV‬. Key Verse : v22.

Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules: “Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”? These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings.

One of the strategies of the devil this end time is to keep the church of Jesus busy with things that doesn’t have any meaningful impact in the lives of men. Some of these are often repeated activities that cannot effect real changes in the lives of men. One of such devices includes rules and regulations. Rules and regulations are not bad because they help to enforce orderliness in any organisation or environment, but they don’t change the lives of men. The gospel we need to know was designed by the Holy Spirit to transform everyone that is able to open the door of their heart to receive same.‭ “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.” Revelation 3:20-21.

After we receive Christ, the most important thing is to go for anything that encourages growth and maturity. Spiritual growth is always possible when we are conscious of the need of the power of God in our personal lives. That is when can show enough hunger for a life controlled by the Holy Spirit. His presence in any life is a step in the right direction for a life of fellowship with God almighty. This fellowship or relationship with our maker makes available to any man the life and power of God to us by the help of his in dwelling Spirit and through his word. This is key to live above every form of falsehood and deceit of men out of pride. ‭”Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind.” Colossians 2:18

Today, we must not forget that Jesus paid every price for us to be redeemed on the cross. Nothing else need to be added to what he did. We have to believe and totally depend on what he had done to live victorious. All we need to do now is to make every possible effort to know him by experience through relationship. That is key to a life of faith and strength that produces results in him. Deep knowledge of him through revelation, opens us up to enormous spiritual resources that makes our Christianity rich in impact anywhere we find ourselves. ‭”My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:2-3.

Prayer :Thank Lord Jesus for doing a complete work of redemption on the cross. I pray that you open me up to understand all you have done for me as I fellowship with you daily. Thank you for making me most fruitful in you in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Friday June 21st, 2024.

Topic : You Believe To Receive.

Memory Verse :‭Hebrews 11:6. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Bible Reading : ‭2 Kings 7:1-2 NIV‬. Key Verse :v2.

Elisha replied, “Hear the word of the Lord. This is what the Lord says: About this time tomorrow, a seah of the finest flour will sell for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria.” The officer on whose arm the king was leaning said to the man of God, “Look, even if the Lord should open the floodgates of the heavens, could this happen?” “You will see it with your own eyes,” answered Elisha, “but you will not eat any of it!”

The famine in the land of Samaria this time in history was so severe that two women could loose compassion for their children as to agree to kill their sons for food which is unheard of before and after that time. These women agreed to slaughter their sons for food one at a time. After they ate the son of the first woman in the first day, the second woman hid her son when it was her turn to surrender her own son to be eaten. This caused a sharp argument and fight that drew the attention of the king who was passing by as the bereaved woman asked for help or justice. ‭”The king replied, “If the Lord does not help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing floor? From the winepress?” Then he asked her, “What’s the matter?” She answered, “This woman said to me, ‘Give up your son so we may eat him today, and tomorrow we’ll eat my son.’ So we cooked my son and ate him. The next day I said to her, ‘Give up your son so we may eat him,’ but she had hidden him.” When the king heard the woman’s words, he tore his robes. As he went along the wall, the people looked, and they saw that, under his robes, he had sackcloth on his body.” 2 Kings 6:27-30.

The king had to go for the head of Elisha who was God’s voice at that point in time. The man of God told the men sent by the king that tomorrow there would be a miracle as prices of food will crash. Because the famine in thirst place was induced by a prolonged siege of the enemy Syrian army. The king’s special assistant or Aid De Camp, doubted it because he was looking at the reality of things. That made the man of God to pronounce that he will see it but won’t partake of it. The next day, when God finally broke the siege and used the weakest or least of men (lepers) to announce it, the kings special assistant was appointed to oversee or coordinate distribution of the excess food that fleeing Syrian soldiers abandoned for the word of God to be fulfilled. He singularly died in the place of his new assignment as a result of stampede for the word of the man of God be fulfilled .

Today, we need to understand that the blesings or interventions of God comes by promises. The people who can access and utilise them therefore are men who dare to believe God against all odds. People doubt most time because when God is speaking, the situation always look the same because God himself speaks into the future in order to affect the needed changes. Whatever you are going through now, remember the promises (word) of God that addressed such. Hold on to them and run with them because his promises are dependable. ‭”As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.” Isaiah 55:10-12.

Prayer:Thank you Father God because your words are dependable. Today, I refuse to fix my gaze on challenges, but pay attention to what you are saying. Thank you because you have the capacity to bring your word to pass in my life and situation, circumstances notwithstanding in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

The Widow And Elisha

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Thursday June 20th, 2024.

Topic : The Widow And Elisha.

Memory Verse : ‭2 Kings 4:3. Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few.

‭2 Kings 4:1-2 NIV‬. Key Verse : v2.

The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.” Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?” “Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”

Here we see a widow whose late husband was a Bible student that owed money before he died. Not only that, he used his two sons as collateral when he was borrowing the money. Now that he died and the wife had nothing to use and pay, the creditor came for her only consolation after she lost her husband in the form of her two sons. Not knowing what to do and whom to run to, she ran to Elisha the main of God for help. The man of God gave her a simple instruction that sounded foolish to ordinary men. When she obeyed, that became the beginning of her turn around testimony. ‭”Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.” She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.” But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing.” 2 Kings 4:3-6.

The widow humbly obeyed the voice of the servant of God. She didn’t talk to anyone who would have discouraged her, but went about borrowing vessels as much as she could lay hands on with her sons. When the house was filled up, they locked up the house and began to pour to fill the borrowed empty vessels. The flow of oil didn’t stop till the sons confirmed that there was no extra vessel to fill. Now she went back to the man of God to gladly confirm the miracle with him. At this point, the man of God sent her back to go and sell off the stock and return to pay up her debt and live on the excess proceeds of the miracle oil. “She went and told the man of God, and he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debts. You and your sons can live on what is left.”” 2 Kings 4:7.

Today we have to learn that no situation we find ourselves in is hopeless or irredeemable before the Lord. When we are in trouble and seem not to know what to do or whom to talk to, the best person to run to in times of distress is the God that can do all things. Elisha was there as a man representing God, her running to him for help was same thing as running to God because God always work through men. Another lesson to learn here is that walking with God sometimes may demand us walking on lonely paths. If the widow her told her friends what she asked to do by Elisha or brought them into the process, they might have inflicted her with doubts and discouragement, which would have kept her at same spot. On a third note, if God must bless a man, the person have to lay hands on something. The man of God asked her, what she had which God can use as a contact point to release her blessing. Thank God she had some little oil the Lord could multiply. Finally, we have to learn that in every labour, there’s increase as contained in the book of proverbs. The man of God sent her to work and birth her debt free life by the help of the almighty.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because with you all things are possible. Thank you because no man that runs to you for help returns empty handed. Today I ask that you manifest your intervention in……. (mention them). Thank you for answering me in Jesus wonderful name….. Amen 🙏🏿.
