The Need To Bear Fruits

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Topic :The Need To Bear Fruits.

Memory Verse :Luke 13:8. “But the gardener said, ‘Sir, we should leave it one more year. Let me fertilize and cultivate it, then let’s see if it will produce fruit.

Bible Reading: Luke 13:6-7 TPT. Key Verse: v8.

Then Jesus told them this parable: “There was a man who planted a fig tree in his orchard. But when he came to gather fruit from his tree he found none, for it was barren and had no fruit. So he said to his gardener, ‘For the last three years I’ve come to gather figs from my tree but it remains fruitless. What a waste! Go ahead and cut it down!’

It us God’s will that we bear much fruits in our walk with God, fruits that stands the test of time. At creation, one of the things God did in the life of man that is inbuilt is the ability to bear fruits. “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:27-28 KJV. Barreness therefore is a sign of malfunction wherever we see it on display.

As believers, we are planted permanently in God’s presence. This positioning is for our own benefit as it exposes us to things flowing from him that will always enhance our fruitfulness. That is how we enjoy unhindered life and light that flows from him directly into our spirit man to minister strength to us daily. Here he equips us with adequate wisdom to navigate our ways through battles and challenges that comes our way. Anytime we expose ourselves to his word, we receive manure or fertiliser that helps us to flourish and bear fruits that glorify his name on earth. In his word, he has deposited everything we need for sound spiritual health to support a life of continuous fruitfulness. “In the same way that nursing infants cry for milk, you must intensely crave the pure spiritual milk of God’s Word. For this “milk” will cause you to grow into maturity, fully nourished and strong for life—” 1 Peter 2:2..

When we bear fruits, we command divine attention which enables us to enjoy his pruning experience, so that we can deliver more of the fruits to honour his name.”“I am a true sprouting vine, and the farmer who tends the vine is my Father. He cares for the branches connected to me by lifting and propping up the fruitless branches and pruning every fruitful branch to yield a greater harvest.” John 15:1-2. Today we must not forget that we are bought at a price, and that for every investment of grace in our lives, heaven expects returns. To whom much is given, much is also expected. We must make sure we deliver to the expectations of heaven, circumstances notwithstanding.

Prayer : Thank you Father God for every investment of grace upon my humble life. Help me to to take full advantage of every resources you made available to me to bear fruits that honor you all my days in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Lessons From King Saul

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Wednesday October 9th, 2024.

Topic : Lessons From King Saul.

Memory Verse :1 Samuel 15:28. Samuel said to him, “The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel away from you today and given it to someone who is a better man than you.

Bible Reading :1 Chronicles 10:2-4 GNB. Key Verse: v4.

But the Philistines caught up with them and killed three of Saul’s sons, Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua. The fighting was heavy round Saul, and he was hit by enemy arrows and badly wounded. He said to the young man carrying his weapons, “Draw your sword and kill me, to keep these godless Philistines from gloating over me.” But the young man was too terrified to do it. So Saul took his own sword and threw himself on it.

Saul son of Kish was chosen to be king over Israel the people of God without him fighting for it. Infact, kinship located him in an unexpected manner according to the workings of God Almighty himself. When he couldn’t follow divine instructions, the same God who lifted him decided to ease his from the throne. And himself knowing the mind of God began to fight to keep himself on the throne and secure same for his children, against divine agenda. After Samuel told him the mind of God, he didn’t make any effort to repent and seek the face of the Lord on the matter and ask for mercy before the Lord. A man like David would have gone to the Lord and humbled himself to see if the Lord could change his mind towards him. I believe that was one of attitudes that endeared David to the heart of God. “You sinned in secret, but I will make this happen in broad daylight for all Israel to see.’ ”“I have sinned against the Lord,” David said.Nathan replied, “The Lord forgives you; you will not die. But because you have shown such contempt for the Lord in doing this, your child will die.”” 2 Samuel 12:12-14..

King Saul knew that God was raising David to take over from him, yet he was bent on twarting that plan of God by eliminating David. He channeled every resources within his reach to hunt down and kill David instead of trying to make amends before the Lord who was bent on replacing him with one of better understanding on the assignment. Even when all the indices was showing that he was contending with God and not little David, he couldn’t have a rethink till his entire family was consumed by war to pave way for David’s peaceful ascension to the throne. “When David had finished speaking, Saul said, “Is that really you, David my son?” And he started crying. Then he said to David, “You are right, and I am wrong. You have been so good to me, while I have done such wrong to you!Today you have shown how good you are to me, because you did not kill me, even though the Lord put me in your power.” 1 Samuel 24:16-18..

Today we need to learn that it was the desperation of Saul to keep himself and his family in power against God’s will that led to the destruction of an entire family in one day by divine judgement. We need to know when to surrender to God’s plan which no man can counter. No man can keep what he received by divine arrangement by his own physical strength against God’s will. The more we understand to walk with divine timing and seasons, the better and less stressful our lives becomes. I once heard Mike Murdock say that when we insist in what God has not given us, we will loose that which he had given already. On a very important note, no man can stop a man whose time of lifting with God has come. Anyone who dares to stop him will certainly end up a casualty, just like king Saul trying to stop David from ascending the throne.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for teaching me your ways through the lives of men of old. Help me to always humble myself and submit to your will and timing in everything I do. Keep me from anything that will cut short your good plan for my life in Jesus precious name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Building A Stronger Relationship.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Tuesday October 8th, 2024.

Topic : Building A Stronger Relationship.

Memory Verse : Philippians 3:1. My beloved ones, don’t ever limit your joy or fail to rejoice in the wonderful experience of knowing our Lord Jesus! I don’t mind repeating what I’ve already written you because it protects you—

Bible Reading : Philippians 3:2-4 TPT. Key Verse : v3.

beware of those religious hypocrites who teach that you should be circumcised to please God. For we have already experienced “heart-circumcision,” and we worship God in the power and freedom of the Holy Spirit, not in laws and religious duties. We are those who boast in what Jesus Christ has done, and not in what we can accomplish in our own strength. It’s true that I once relied on all that I had become. I had a reason to boast and impress people with my accomplishments—more than others—for my pedigree was impeccable.

Because God himself is a Spirit and father of all spirits, men that want to relate with him therefore must upgrade to his level as to enjoy the best of him. Nobody standing in the flesh and what it has to offer can be able to reach God. This is because the flesh is prone to weakness and therefore will never agree with the Spirit. We only bring the flesh under control, so that our spirit man can be able to reach out to God to receive from him. “For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace. In fact, the mind-set focused on the flesh fights God’s plan and refuses to submit to his direction, because it cannot! For no matter how hard they try, God finds no pleasure with those who are controlled by the flesh. But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh but by the Spirit. And if you are not joined to the Spirit of the Anointed One, you are not of him.” Romans 8:6-9.

The transaction of salvation and God’s plan for the believer goes beyond ceremonies and things that ends on the body. Because the first experiment in the flesh failed, he had to go the spirit of man this time. What God desires is to leave a seal on our spirit man by the help of his own Spirit that incubates us. In the old covenant that God had with Moses and the people of Israel, the emphasis was on circumcision of the flesh as a mark of ownership. But in our days, his emphasis has shifted from the flesh because it profits nothing, to our spirit which has capacity to connect to God and walk with him in synergy to carry out his purpose here on earth. “Now Christ lives his life in you! And even though your body may be dead because of the effects of sin, his life-giving Spirit imparts life to you because you are fully accepted by God. Yes, God raised Jesus to life! And since God’s Spirit of Resurrection lives in you, he will also raise your dying body to life by the same Spirit that breathes life into you!” Romans 8:10-11

Men who get the best of our new life in Christ are those that place much value on what happens between them and their maker by the help of his Spirit. Such men make sacrifices where necessary to access every inheritance, made available to men in Christ through knowledge. “May grace and peace be yours in full measure through your knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. God’s divine power has given us everything we need to live a truly religious life through our knowledge of the one who called us to share in his own glory and goodness. In this way he has given us the very great and precious gifts he promised, so that by means of these gifts you may escape from the destructive lust that is in the world, and may come to share the divine nature.” 2 Peter 1:2-4 GNB.

Prayer : Thank you Father God because of all you did for me in Christ Jesus. Thank you for giving me your Spirit to enhance my walk with you. Help me to to pay every necessary price to build a stronger relationship with you by the help of your Spirit in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿

Healthy Christian Relationship

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Monday October 7th, 2024.

Topic :Healthy Christian Relationship.

Memory Verse: Ephesians 4:32. Instead, be kind and tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one another, as God has forgiven you through Christ.

Bible Reading :Ephesians 4:29-31. Key Verse :

Do not use harmful words, but only helpful words, the kind that build up and provide what is needed, so that what you say will do good to those who hear you. And do not make God’s Holy Spirit sad; for the Spirit is God’s mark of ownership on you, a guarantee that the Day will come when God will set you free. Get rid of all bitterness, passion, and anger. No more shouting or insults, no more hateful feelings of any sort.

As Apostle Paul was getting close to the last part of his letter to the Ephesian believers, he began to teach how to avoid things that cause divisions, so that they including ourselves could live as men that have a common faith and destiny in Christ Jesus and being kept by his Spirit. “I urge you, then — I who am a prisoner because I serve the Lord: live a life that measures up to the standard God set when he called you. Be always humble, gentle, and patient. Show your love by being tolerant with one another. Do your best to preserve the unity which the Spirit gives by means of the peace that binds you together. There is one body and one Spirit, just as there is one hope to which God has called you.” Ephesians 4:1-4.

As men who are partakers of one Spirit, there are ways we are expected to behave in relating with one another.” So get rid of your old self, which made you live as you used to — the old self that was being destroyed by its deceitful desires. Your hearts and minds must be made completely new, and you must put on the new self, which is created in God’s likeness and reveals itself in the true life that is upright and” holy.” Ephesians 4:22-24. Some of the old nature we need to work on ourselves to eliminate is prolonged anger which leads to bitterness towards one another. Our anger must be controlled and must not be allowed to linger. We must be careful in our choice of words while dealing with each other to avoid using words that are derogatory. Rather our words has to be seasoned, ones that soothes and bring comfort and encouragement in order to make us a blessing.

We have to avoid postures towards one another that grieves the Spirit of God who is the common personality joining us together with one another and the Godhead himself. Such unfriendly and hostile postures most of the time are responsible for unanswered prayers among us as children of God. Many are living in unreconcilable bitterness and unforgiveness towards one another, even as family members including people who are husband and wife. They don’t see anything wrong with their strives against each other and still claim to be order in their walk with God. Some people’s hearts are so hard that they resist every efforts towards genuine reconciliation. To such folks, Apostle Paul penned down this last piece of admonition….”Get rid of all bitterness, passion, and anger. No more shouting or insults, no more hateful feelings of any sort. Instead, be kind and tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one another, as God has forgiven you through Christ.” Ephesians 4:31-32.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because you desire that my relationship with you and fellow believers be very healthy. Today I ask for a heart that obeys divine instructions, one that forgives easily. Let my words and actions be an encouragement to others always in Jesus precious name… Amen 🙏🏿.

Lessons From Job.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Sunday October 6th,2024.

Topic :Lessons From Job.

Memory Verse :Job 1:22. In spite of everything that had happened, Job did not sin by blaming God.

Bible Reading : Job 1:19-21 GNB. Key Verse: v. 21.

when a storm swept in from the desert. It blew the house down and killed them all. I am the only one who escaped to tell you.” Then Job stood up and tore his clothes in grief. He shaved his head and threw himself face downwards on the ground. He said, “I was born with nothing, and I will die with nothing. The Lord gave, and now he has taken away. May his name be praised!”

The story of Job is a very touching one. He lived in an era when men had genuine fear of God. It was recorded that he was the richest man in his territory and in his days. Not only that, he was a man that loved and reverenced God from the depths of his heart. Job also by what was written about him, was a man that touched the lives of many less privileged people around him positively. Because the Lord boasted of Job, Satan wasn’t happy about that. The enemy then sought and got permission from God to destroy Job by taking away all the substance that accounted for his greatness in his lifetime. Devil’s intention was to make him sin against God. Because God trusted Job, he permitted the enemy to try Job by making him loose everything he had in a day. The only thing Satan wasn’t permitted to touch was the life of Job. “But now suppose you hurt his body — he will curse you to your face!” So the Lord said to Satan, “All right, he is in your power, but you are not to kill him.”” Job 2:5-6..

His story is a very familiar one. The enemy went to work against Job without delays. Everything around him including all his business investments collapsed in a day. One bad news preceded another until he was left with nothing. “Before he had finished speaking, another servant came and said, “Your children were having a feast at the home of your eldest son, when a storm swept in from the desert. May his name be praised!”” Job 1:18-21. Even his body was afflicted with sickness. His wife who was the closest to his heart turned against him because the trials was Unbearable to her. His friends misunderstood him, yet he kept his calm and refused to sin against God.

After Job’s devotion and faithfulness to God in the midst of calamities was established, the Lord restored him. His later end was better that former. There are many lessons to learn from the life of brother Job. One of the most important lesson to learn from his life is that we should not trust in riches and wealth because they are transient. Our trust rather should be on the giver of such things that makes life good, who is God Almighty. When our heart is tied to what we have and not God, we can easily fall out of the way, when they are taken away. Another lesson here is that we need to understand that test or trials sometimes comes the way of men. When they come to us, we should always depend of God’s faithfulness to see us through, because he doesn’t fail. Again, we should learn not to be quick in judging people when trouble comes their way. Job’s friends thought Job committed a hidden sin and was taking the place of God to judge their friend, though out of genuine concern for his well being.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because you are the giver of riches and wealth and every good thing life can offer. Give me a heart that is totally committed and devoted to you. Help me to walk with you unconditionally to a victorious end in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Let Your Life Count

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Saturday October 5th, 2024.

Topic : Let Your Life Count.

Memory Verse : 2 Corinthians 3:5. There is nothing in us that allows us to claim that we are capable of doing this work. The capacity we have comes from God;

Bible Reading : 2 Corinthians 3:2-4 GNB. Key Verse : v3.

You yourselves are the letter we have, written on our hearts for everyone to know and read. It is clear that Christ himself wrote this letter and sent it by us. It is written, not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, and not on stone tablets but on human hearts. We say this because we have confidence in God through Christ.

At this point in time, some people were uncomfortable the way Apostle Paul was writing to the believers in corinth. They felt he was taking much to himself. He tried to let them understand that he doesn’t need to project or package himself for anyone because themselves were living testimonies or productst of his ministry assignment. He tried to let them know that the doesn’t take any credit to himself for things God had done among them through his life and ministry. He tried to let them understand that the secret of his ministry is in the power of the Holy Spirit, whose dispensation brought a new dimension to the ministry assignment under his care. “how much greater is the glory that belongs to the activity of the Spirit!
The system which brings condemnation was glorious; how much more glorious is the activity which brings salvation! We may say that because of the far brighter glory now the glory that was so bright in the past is gone. For if there was glory in that which lasted for a while, how much more glory is there in that which lasts for ever! ” 2 Corinthians 3:8-11.

As believers we need to understand that we are all called to serve Jesus Christ our Lord in his newfound kingdom. We came to know Jesus because of the ministry engagement of some people who were ahead of us. In like manner, God is also depending on ourselves to be able to reach out to others coming behind. The Spirit of Jesus we received is an empowerment to help us fulfill divine purpose. If you watch the early disciples, you will see the transformation that took place from their experience in the upper room where they were all filled. From that day everything about them changed, they came out of their cocoons and hiding places to testify of the truth they knew and declare God’s plan of salvation to as many as cared to listen with uncommon boldness and assurance. The impact was a wave of glorious move of God, where men began to decide for Christ without looking back. Some took some steps further by selling their properties to make sure there was enough to care for the need of the entire brotherhood. “There was no one in the group who was in need. Those who owned fields or houses would sell them, bring the money received from the sale, and hand it over to the apostles; and the money was distributed to each one according to his need.” Acts 4:34-35..

Today, we need to have a second look at our Christianity in comparison with what the early disciples delivered to us. The same measure of the Spirit of God given to them is at work on earth and in us today. Knowing that we are operating a higher covenant than what men of old like Moses handled, what impact have been able to make in the lives of others? We are in a better position than themselves because we have their works to study and learn from. We can’t just come and go just like that, there is need for men who desire to leave some divine imprint in the lives of others by way of positive or transformational impact that must stand the test of time, being enforced from his presence and by his Spirit at work in our lives. We can’t afford to remain in our comfort zones when God is depending on us to cover many uncovered grounds. “So no wonder we don’t give up. For even though our outer person gradually wears out, our inner being is renewed every single day. We view our slight, short-lived troubles in the light of eternity. We see our difficulties as the substance that produces for us an eternal, weighty glory far beyond all comparison, because we don’t focus our attention on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but the unseen realm is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for you grace that found me. Your investment of the Spirit of grace will never be in vain in my own life. Help me to labour with you by the help of your Spirit to impact as many as is possible in my journey of faith in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Your Season Of Visitation.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Saturday October 4th, 2024.

Topic : Your Season Of Visitation.

Memory Verse : 1 Samuel 2:9. He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

Bible Reading : 1 Samuel 2:2-4 KJV. Key Verse: v3.

There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God. Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed. The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.

When God answered the prayers of Hanah and gave her Samuel, she kept her part of the bargain. She promised God that if he gives her a son, she will return to chid to him to serve in his presence. Now that she had Samuel, when her boy was mature enough, she came back to shiloh to thank the Lord and pay her vow. ” After she had weaned him, she took him to Shiloh, taking along a three-year-old bull, ten kilogrammes of flour, and a leather bag full of wine. She took Samuel, young as he was, to the house of the Lord at Shiloh. After they had killed the bull, they took the child to Eli. Hannah said to him, “Excuse me, sir. Do you remember me? I am the woman you saw standing here, praying to the Lord. I asked him for this child, and he gave me what I asked for. So I am dedicating him to the Lord. As long as he lives, he will belong to the Lord.”Then they worshipped the Lord there.” 1 Samuel 1:23-27 GNB.

At Shiloh, Hanah was full of praise and thanksgiving before the Lord because of his visitation that shut the mouth of her adversary who was out to make her life miserable then.”Hannah prayed: “The Lord has filled my heart with joy; how happy I am because of what he has done! I laugh at my enemies; how joyful I am because God has helped me! “No one is holy like the Lord; there is none like him, no protector like our God. Stop your loud boasting; silence your proud words. For the Lord is a God who knows, and he judges all that people do. The bows of strong soldiers are broken, but the weak grow strong. The people who once were well fed now hire themselves out to get food, but the hungry are hungry no more. The childless wife has borne seven children, but the mother of many is left with none.” 1 Samuel 2:1-5.

This new month will deliver answer to your prayers. Our God is one that created and works with time and season. This is your season of answers. As many as laboured in the place of prayer trusting God for life and situation changing interventions, it is your time to enter your harvest of answers. Like Hanah, make sure you pay your vows before the Lord. “When the Lord brought us back to Jerusalem, it was like a dream! How we laughed, how we sang for joy! Then the other nations said about us, “The Lord did great things for them.” Indeed he did great things for us; how happy we were! Lord, make us prosperous again, just as the rain brings water back to dry riverbeds. Let those who wept as they sowed their seed, gather the harvest with joy! Those who wept as they went out carrying the seed will come back singing for joy, as they bring in the harvest.” Psalms 126:1-6.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because there is no power that can stop you, when you rise in my favour. Thank you because you will answe me, just the way you answered Hanah. Thank you for your visitation this season and life changing testimonies from your presence in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Believe Jesus For A Miracle

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Thursday October 3rd, 2024

Topic : Believe Jesus For A Miracle.

Memory Verse : Luke 17:14. When Jesus stopped to look at them, he spoke these words: “Go to be examined by the Jewish priests.” They set off, and they were healed while walking along the way.

Bible Reading : Luke 17:11-13 TPT. Key Verse: v13.

Jesus traveled on toward Jerusalem and passed through the border region between Samaria and Galilee. As he entered one village, ten men approached him, but they kept their distance, for they were lepers. They shouted to him, “Mighty Lord, our wonderful Master! Won’t you have mercy on us and heal us?”

In everything God does for any man, our faith is required. Many people are not able to receive from God sometimes because they lack the faith to pull the miracle they desire from God’s presence. Jesus was always anointed to minister solution to the problem of men, to the extent we are able to believe or trust him. If you watch the incident of these ten lepers closely, you will see Jesus Christ tell the leper who returned to give God glory that it was his faith that delivered the miracle to him. The emphasis was on the faith of the leper instead of the anointing of Jesus. This goes a long way to help us understand that what moves the hand of God on our behalf in any situation we find ourselves is our faith. “And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who give all their passion and strength into seeking him.” Hebrews 11:6.

Here we see Jesus Christ travelling on his way to Jerusalem and running into a group of ten lepers. These men were societal reject because of their decease which was contagious. They were in their solitary condition possibly begging along the way for survival. When they saw Jesus Christ, they knew that it an opportunity for a change of story. They had to raise their voices to cry and shout for help, knowing that he had capacity to heal them. Jesus on his part wanted them to exercise their faith by telling them to go for what today we can call medical test to confirm their healing, even when nothing had really changed with their leprous body. The Priests of those days were responsible for confirming or certifying such unclean people fit to mingle with people again when they get well. When he asked them to go and show themselves to the priests, they didn’t hesitate or argue with him. As they went ahead to obey the voice of the master, their healing took place on the way.

I once heard Pastor Chris say that when some mountain prove stubborn by refusing to move at your command, yourself need to refuse to recognise such and move ahead. When you take such step in defiant faith, such mountain will have no choice, but to make way for you. Faith can always be seen because it has an appearance, it will always move you to take some action to validate whatever you trust God to do in your life. It has to be seen also in your spoken words. Champions doesn’t see or confess defeat, whatever the enemy does around them notwithstanding. Whatever ugly or stubborn situation you are able to defy as read this will bow to the power of Jesus Christ, who can change any situation by his mighty power that can never fail. Jesus is still working among us today. ““Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit and with great power. He did wonderful things for others and divinely healed all who were under the tyranny of the devil, for God had anointed him.” Acts 10:38.

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus because you remain the same forever. Today, I worship you because you can change any situation. Today I thank you for……… (mention what you are believing Him to do for you). I give you all the glory for revealing yourself in my life and situation in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Manifesting The Love Of God

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS

Wednesday October 2nd, 2024.

Topic : Manifesting The Love Of God.

Memory Verse : 1 John 4:8. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love.

Bible Reading : 1 John 4:9-11 GNB. Key Verse : v9.

And God showed his love for us by sending his only Son into the world, so that we might have life through him. This is what love is: it is not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the means by which our sins are forgiven. Dear friends, if this is how God loved us, then we should love one another.

Elder John wrote about love more than anyone else in the new testament. He was taken very close to the heart of God by the revelations of Christ he had as an individual. He discussed the subject of love extensively because of it’s importance in the body of Christ as revealed to him. According to his work, all the commandments of God as given in the old testament can be summarised in our loving God as creator and king including our brothers or neighbours. ““Teacher,” he asked, “which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus answered, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and the most important commandment. The second most important commandment is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as you love yourself.’” Matthew 22:36-39..

Love functions in two major dimensions. The first dimension of love is that of sacrifice. One easy way to identify love when it is a work is sacrifices. Starting with God whose nature is love, we see him demonstrating this love he has towards man in a lot of sacrifices. In Eden before the fall, he sacrificed his time to meet man physically, so that they can spend time in intimate fellowship. Even after the fall, he couldn’t give up on man because of the depth of his love towards mankind. He had to do the unusual to restore man back to himself in intimate fellowship. ““And just as Moses in the desert lifted up the brass replica of a snake on a pole for all the people to see and be healed, so the Son of Man is ready to be lifted up, so that those who truly believe in him will not perish but be given eternal life. For this is how much God loved the world—he gave his one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.” John 3:14-16 TPT.

In like manner we as children of God cannot love just by words of mouth, but by also making sacrifices in our relationship with God and towatds our brethren or fellow human. That is how we live out the nature of God when it is at work in us.” “Suppose there are brothers or sisters who need clothes and don’t have enough to eat. What good is there in your saying to them, “God bless you! Keep warm and eat well!” — if you don’t give them the necessities of life?” James 2:15-16. Another important dimension of love is revealed in forgiveness. Don’t forget that as children we learn love from God himself. He manifested his love for us in these two ways, he gave us Jesus to die in our place and he forgives our sins when we believe in his son. We are to extend same forgiveness also to fellow men when they offend us. Many today have unanswered prayers because they have refused to forgive fellow men. “Forgive us the wrongs we have done, as we forgive the wrongs that others have done to us. “If you forgive others the wrongs they have done to you, your Father in heaven will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not be able forgive the wrongs you have done.” Matthew 6:12, 14-15..

Prayer :Thank you Father God for making me a product of love. Help me to love in practical terms just like yourself. I want to live all my days to love you and fellow men in Jesus precious name. . Amen 🙏🏿.

Keys To Finishing Strong

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Tuesday October 1st, 2024.

Topic : Keys To Finishing Strong.

Memory Verse : 2 Timothy 2:6. The farmer who labors to produce a crop should be the first one to be fed from its harvest.

Bible Reading : 2 Timothy 2:3-5. Key Verse: v4.

Overcome every form of evil as a victorious soldier of Jesus the Anointed One. For every soldier called to active duty must divorce himself from the distractions of this world so that he may fully satisfy the one who chose him. An athlete who doesn’t play by the rules will never receive the trophy, so remain faithful to God!

The words of Apostle Paul to his son in the faith are words of wisdom, born out of his personal experience in his walk with the master and years of kingdom service. They were meant to encourage him to understand what he was into as to help him give it his best in order to be more fruitful in the hands of the Lord. These words of counsel are very necessary for us today, if we must finish strong. Now, the first thing we need to understand is that we have to see ourselves as soldiers enlisted in the Lord’s army. To that extent, we have to develop capacity for endurance in the midst of challenges. We also need to see ourselves as athletes competing for heavenly honours. To that extent, we have to observe as to follow the rules of engagement as prescribed by our master and King Jesus Christ. In every competetion, every athlete must get involved with a winning mentality or burning inner desire to win at the end of the day. The drive to win the price pushes the athlete to bring in an extra push on the field that helps make the difference at the end.

Another very important dimension of the instructions of Apostle Paul in this chapter that we need to heed in order we need in order to finish strong and on the podium is avoid all forms of distractions. I will say that these distractions are things that keep us unnecessarily busy with things that does not add value to our spiritual life or relationships with God or that of other people around us. We are meant to build up or edify one another. “You say, “Under grace there are no rules and we’re free to do anything we please.” Not exactly. Because not everything promotes growth in others. Your slogan, “We’re allowed to do anything we choose,” may be true—but not everything causes the spiritual advancement of others. So don’t always seek what is best for you at the expense of another.” 1 Corinthians 10:23-24.

On a final note, our lives must be focused on pleasing our Lord and Master alone, not ourselves or people around us. Self is a very destructive and dangerous enemy because it has to do with the flesh and things that doesn’t glorify God. People around us on the other hand follow us with their feelings, not knowing the plan of God for our lives in details. They will always get us off the track thinking they are helping us, even when they love us deeply. We live to please the one who has the master plan of our lives including the compass to navigate the way. This is because everything we need in this life is in his mighty hands to give to anyone he pleases. Again, every good seed we sow into our walk with Jesus and his kingdom comes back to us as a harvest. We reap the blessings first which makes us become a blessing to others around us at the end. The beauty of it all is that the rewards of our kingdom services starts here and continues in full measure in eternity. ““Behold, I am coming quickly! I bring my reward with me to repay everyone according to their works. I am the Aleph and the Tav, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the Completion.”” Revelation 22:12-13.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because you desire that I finish strong in you. Help me to heed every instructions you have given me in your word that will help me run my race well to a victorious end in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
