Walking In his Love.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Wednesday November 13th, 2024.

Topic : Walking In his Love.

Memory Verse : 1 John 2:6. not just by saying, “I am intimate with God,” but by walking in the footsteps of Jesus.

Bible Reading :The Passion Translation 1 John 2:3-5 TPT. Key Verse : v5.

Here’s how we can be sure that we’ve truly come to know God: if we keep his commands. If someone claims, “I have come to know God by experience,” yet doesn’t keep God’s commands, he is a phony and the truth finds no place in him. But the love of God will be perfected within the one who obeys God’s Word. We can be sure that we’ve truly come to live in intimacy with God,

God’s will is not just that we relate with him casually, but intimately. Many are looking for whatever they can grab from God’s presence and disappear, while God himself is looking for a way to engage them intimately, so that he can transform them to become the light, just like himself. It’s good to note that the platform on which God built his relationship with man is that of love. That is the reason we are commanded not to serve another besides him to avoid us provoking his jealousy. As his children that nature of God whiis love has to be found at work in us by the help of his Spirit given to us. “And we ourselves know and believe the love which God has for us.God is love, and those who live in love live in union with God and God lives in union with them. Love is made perfect in us in order that we may have courage on Judgement Day; and we will have it because our life in this world is the same as Christ’s. 1 John 4:16-17 GNB.

Because he first showered his love on us, he expects us to reciprocate by loving him back and obeying his commands with a heart of love. While he walked the surface of this earth during his earthly ministry, he demonstrated that love by reaching out to the helpless and hopeless at no cost. The commandment to keep here therefore is to walk in love, just like Christ himself did. We are to love other men freely and sacrificially too, just the way himself loved us to the point of dying for us to live. This means that we have to show genuine care for the brethren just like the early church. “There was no one in the group who was in need. Those who owned fields or houses would sell them, bring the money received from the sale, and hand it over to the apostles; and the money was distributed to each one according to his need.” Acts 4:34-35 GNB.

“Get rid of all bitterness, passion, and anger. No more shouting or insults, no more hateful feelings of any sort. Instead, be kind and tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one another, as God has forgiven you through Christ.” Ephesians 4:31-32 GNB. We need to understand here that forgiveness is a very important dimension in love. Anytime people relate with each other, we do offend each other sometimes because of our human nature. Where there is genuine love, men don’t find it cumbersome to forgive. We are to forgive others the way Jesus Christ forgave us out of a heart of love. Without forgiveness, the circle of love is incomplete. Unforgiveness in any relationship is a pointer to the fact that love is absent in a relationship.

Prayer : Lord Jesus, I thank you loving me and dying to save my soul. Help me by your Spirit to be like you. Give me a heart that loves you and my fellow men. Give me a heart that forgives like you. Thank you for helping me obey you always in Jesus mighty name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Never Loose Sight Of His Second Coming

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Tuesday November 12th, 2024.

Topic :Never Loose Sight Of His Second Coming.

Memory Verse :1 Thessalonians 5:4. But you, brothers and sisters, are not in the darkness, and the Day should not take you by surprise like a thief.

Bible Reading :1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 GNB. Key Verse: v2.

There is no need to write to you, brothers and sisters, about the times and occasions when these things will happen. For you yourselves know very well that the Day of the Lord will come as a thief comes at night. When people say, “Everything is quiet and safe,” then suddenly destruction will hit them! It will come as suddenly as the pains that come upon a woman in labour, and people will not escape.

One of the most important events that must take place this end time is the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is an event we must not loose sight of. When men loose sight of the second coming of Jesus, their Christianity is bound to have question marks all over. That is when we are seen as sleeping in our spirit or living like drunk men who can’t discern what is right to do per time, because of alcoholic influence. The hope of spending eternity with our Lord gives us the strength to stand in the midst of fiery trials. It helps us live in a manner that is acceptable to him, so that we can meet up with his requirements. “See how much the Father has loved us! His love is so great that we are called God’s children — and so, in fact, we are. This is why the world does not know us: it has not known God. My dear friends, we are now God’s children, but it is not yet clear what we shall become. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he really is. Everyone who has this hope in Christ keeps himself pure, just as Christ is pure.” 1 John 3:1-3.

The Bible tried to help us understand what the second coming of Jesus Christ will look like so that we don’t get deceived by crafty men who turn the truth upside down. From the beginning, when Christ began to teach about the end time and his second coming to the earth, men became so curious and inquisitive as to understand the exact time he will return. God in his wisdom will not call any particular date for us as men will prefer, because of the nature of man. He only gave us signs that when we begin see them, we will have understanding that his 2nd coming is nearer than ever. It will be a sudden event just the way thieves comes upon men unexpectedly and in the manner labour pangs comes upon a pregnant woman unannounced. “The coming of the Son of Man will be like what happened in the time of Noah. In the days before the flood people ate and drank, men and women married, up to the very day Noah went into the boat; At that time two men will be working in a field: one will be taken away, the other will be left behind.” Matthew 24:37-38,40.

As children of God, we have been given a compass to navigate our journey on earth who is the Holy Spirit. When we walk closely with him, nothing really takes us unawares in the real sense of it. He has a way of preparing us ahead of time for every important event of life that are part of his agenda for our lives, as well as counter the plans of the enemy himself makes to hinder our progress in life. “But we belong to the day, and we should be sober. We must wear faith and love as a breastplate, and our hope of salvation as a helmet. God did not choose us to suffer his anger, but to possess salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us in order that we might live together with him, whether we are alive or dead when he comes. And so encourage one another and help one another, just as you are now doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:8-11.

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus because you are coming back again to take me to be with you forever. By your Spirit, help me to live prepared. When you will appear, let me appear with you in victory as your own in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Factors That Will Affect Your Fruitfulness.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Monday November 11th, 2024.

Topic :Factors That Will Affect Your Fruitfulness.

Memory Verse : Colossians 2:10. and you have been given full life in union with him. He is supreme over every spiritual ruler and authority.

Bible Reading : Colossians 2:6-8 GNB. Key Verse: v7.

Since you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, live in union with him. Keep your roots deep in him, build your lives on him, and become stronger in your faith, as you were taught. And be filled with thanksgiving. See to it, then, that no one enslaves you by means of the worthless deceit of human wisdom, which comes from the teachings handed down by human beings and from the ruling spirits of the universe, and not from Christ.

The best decision any man can make in this life is to live to honour Jesus. Believing in his saving grace and accepting him into your lives is the right foundation for a life of fellowship or a life lived in union with him. At this point you become one with him, just the same way a man and a woman comes together to become one through the channel of marriage. This relationship is what gives God the legal ground to be involved in your affairs in totality which makes a man’s life beautiful and fortified. “I pray that they may all be one. Father! May they be in us, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they be one, so that the world will believe that you sent me. I gave them the same glory you gave me, so that they may be one, just as you and I are one: I in them and you in me, so that they may be completely one, in order that the world may know that you sent me and that you love them as you love me.” John 17:21-22.

We don’t just stop at accepting him into our lives in order to live in union with Jesus Christ. We need to consciously invest time and resources to make sure the we become solidly grounded in him, which will help us stand trials of faith that may come our way and be able also to identify false teachers and phylosophers out there who are peddling all kinds of human wisdom that leads nowhere at the end. This will help us mature and become resourceful and impact full in our journey of faith to the glory of God. At this point, we able to bear fruits, good kingdom fruits that stands the test of time. “Remain united to me, and I will remain united to you. A branch cannot bear fruit by itself; it can do so only if it remains in the vine. In the same way you cannot bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine, and you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will bear much fruit; for you can do nothing without me.” John 15:4-5.

Another factor that will help us do well in Christ Jesus is to live with a heart of gratitude. Gratitude happens when we have understanding as to appreciate the price that was paid for our salvation in the first place. That will help us not to allow such enormous investment of grace be in vain. Men that have such understanding live to honour God who made it possible and they consciously live love this God and make concerted efforts to get involved in things that will give him pleasure. Such men are always thankful knowing that all we are able to do in him and through him is by his mighty mercies revealed to mankind in love. “And to all these qualities add love, which binds all things together in perfect unity. The peace that Christ gives is to guide you in the decisions you make; for it is to this peace that God has called you together in the one body. And be thankful. Christ’s message in all its richness must live in your hearts. Teach and instruct each other with all wisdom. Sing psalms, hymns, and sacred songs; sing to God with thanksgiving in your hearts.” Colossians 3:14-16.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because you have called me to a life of fruitfulness in you. Help me to always involve in activities that will get me deeply rooted in you. Give a heart that loves you and help me serve with all sense of gratitude all my days in Jesus precious name… Amen 🙏🏿.

Season Of Praises And Thanksgiving

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Sunday November 10th, 2024.

Topic :Season Of Praises And Thanksgiving.

Memory Verse : Psalms 107:6. Then in their trouble they called to the Lord, and he saved them from their distress.

Bible Reading :Psalms 107:7-9 GNB. Key Verse : v9.

He led them by a straight road to a city where they could live. They must thank the Lord for his constant love, for the wonderful things he did for them. He satisfies those who are thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

The Lord our God is mighty. His faithfulness transcends generations. He proved his power and mighty deliverance in the lives of the children of Israel when he brought them out of Egypt, a place of servitude with rigour by his mighty hand. He led them
through the wilderness. They passed through unfamiliar terrains of life and the Lord proved his power and presence in their midst with mighty acts. They saw God in uncommon dimensions, as he parted the red sea. Everything about them was filled with signs and wonders, so that their terror was in the camp of their enemies. When they thirsted, he provided water for them from himself who is the rock of ages. When they were hungry, he rained angels food from heaven to satisfy them. When enemy nations came up against them, they suffered heavy defeat as God rebuked kings for their sake. Everything about them and their journey through the wilderness was very miraculous.

As the church or redeemed people of God, we experience his goodness and mighty deliverance daily. As we develop a working relationship with him, he grants us unfettered access to heavenly resources that makes our lives worthwhile and impact full here on earth. As people of God, he has become our source and help in times of need. “They were worn out from hard work; they would fall down, and no one would help. Then in their trouble they called to the Lord, and he saved them from their distress. He brought them out of their gloom and darkness and broke their chains in pieces. They must thank the Lord for his constant love, for the wonderful things he did for them. He breaks down doors of bronze and smashes iron bars.” Psalms 107:12-26.

Today, we need to look back at what God had done and is doing and about to do in our lives, we have to take time to resonate and recount the goodness of God in our lives. We have to come to his presence with praises. In praising him, we provoke intentionally his presence and intervention in our affairs because he inhabits the praise of his people. We also have to approach God our redeemer who has fought all the battles of life for us in his mighty mercies with thanksgiving. When we engage in thanksgiving before the Lord, we activate the power of increase and divine multiplication from his presence.

Prayer : Thank you Father God for giving us Jesus who redeemed my soul from destruction. Thank you because because of battles you fought and victory you have given me. I come with praises with a heart filled with gratitude before you today. I bless you for your deliverance, divine intervention, increase, expansion and multiplication coming my way in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Repentance, Key To Avoid Divine Judgement.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Saturday November 9th,2024.

Topic : Repentance, Key To Avoid Divine Judgement.

Memory Verse :1 Samuel 3:17. So Samuel told him everything; he did not keep anything back. Eli said, “He is the Lord; he will do whatever seems best to him.”

Bible Reading : 1 Samuel 3:14-16 GNB. Key Verse : v12.

Samuel stayed in bed until morning; then he got up and opened the doors of the house of the Lord. He was afraid to tell Eli about the vision. Eli called him, “Samuel, my boy!”“Yes, sir,” answered Samuel. “What did the Lord tell you?” Eli asked. “Don’t keep anything from me. God will punish you severely if you don’t tell me everything he said.”

The old testament I have always said is where God revealed his character. Anyone who wants to walk with God must study God’s dealings with men of old. Grace never changed his character, grace and mercy only delays his judgment with hope that we use such window to repent and do what is right before the Lord. As Eli the priest in Shiloh was getting old, his sons Hophni and Phenihas had to help him out in carrying out some of his assignments in the temple. But these sons were not properly trained as they handled the things of God with reckless carelessness. They polluted the place of worship with their greed and immoral lifestyle which was in the open. When their dirty lifestyle was brought to the notice of Eli continously, he didn’t take a firm stand to discipline and correct his sons. That was how he incurred the wrath of God.

In chapter 2 of 1 Samuel, God sent a Prophet to warn Eli because of the behaviour of his sons who were desecrating vthe temple in Shiloh. “A prophet came to Eli with this message from the Lord: “When your ancestor Aaron and his family were slaves of the king of Egypt, I revealed myself to Aaron. From all the tribes of Israel I chose his family to be my priests, to serve at the altar, to burn the incense, and to wear the ephod to consult me. And I gave them the right to keep a share of the sacrifices burnt on the altar. Why, then, do you look with greed at the sacrifices and offerings which I require from my people? Why, Eli, do you honour your sons more than me by letting them fatten themselves on the best parts of all the sacrifices my people offer to me? When your two sons Hophni and Phinehas both die on the same day, this will show you that everything I have said will come true.” 1 Samuel 2:27-29,34. Because the warning wasn’t heeded, God had to send the same message of warning through boy Samuel who was a novice being tutored in the ministry. Samuel 3:10-13.

In all these Eli didn’t stamp his feet firmly on the ground or do enough to correct his sons who were the problem. That made God to wipe him out together with his wayward sons on his day of visitation with judgement. Eli left the Lord to do whatever pleases him in his anger. At the end the entire household was wiped out in a day together with Eli himself. Because God was angry, even the armies of Israel who were not part of the family of Eli suffered heavy defeat and losses in battle for the word of God to be fulfilled. Today we must learn to repent at the rebuke of the Lord. The person the Lord loves as a son, he rebukes we must note. The rebuke of the Lord is to restore his fear where it was lacking and to help us do what is right before him as to avoid divine judgement or destruction. God doesn’t allow his own to be destroyed without warning from different quarters. When we repent from our evil ways at rebuke of the Lord, he will always pardon and withdraw his threath of judgement. “But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Matthew 9:12-13 KJV.
———————————————–.
Prayer :Thank you Father God because it is not your will that anyone should perish. Thank you because you are a merciful father. Give me a heart that tremble at your word and repent at your rebuke. Thank you for helping me enjoy your grace and mercy continously in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

The Beauty Of Serving Jesus Christ

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Friday November 8th, 2024.

Topic :The Beauty Of Serving Jesus Christ.

Memory Verse : Acts 27:23. For God’s angel visited me last night, the angel of my God, the God I passionately serve. He came and stood in front of me

Bible Reading : Acts 27:24-26 TPT. Key Verse: v24.

and said, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul. You are destined to stand trial before Caesar. And because of God’s favor on you, he has given you the lives of everyone who is sailing with you.’ So men, keep up your courage! I know that God will protect you, just as he told me he would. But we must run aground on some island to be saved.”

Apostle Paul’s was arrested in Jerusalem as prophesied by Agabus for the sake of the gospel. Now when he stood before king Agrippa in defence of the testimony of Jesus he bore, he appealed to Ceaser as a Roman citizen while defending the message of the cross he carried before the king with other of his cabinet members in attendance and the people. “Agrippa said to Paul, “In this short time do you think you will make me a Christian?” “Whether a short time or a long time,” Paul answered, “my prayer to God is that you and all the rest of you who are listening to me today might become what I am — except, of course, for these chains!” Then the king, the governor, Bernice, and all the others got up, and after leaving they said to each other, “This man has not done anything for which he should die or be put in prison.” And Agrippa said to Festus, “This man could have been released if he had not appealed to the Emperor.”” Acts 26:28-31 GNB.

Now the journey to Rome wasn’t smooth. After they boarded a connecting Egyptian ship going to Rome at Alenxandria the journey wasn’t cumbersome. At a point, Paul by the Spirit of God counseled that they delayed the journey, but the owners of the ship and sailors refused to listened and continued the voyage to the risk of their lives. The journey became hopeless and the sailors was planning to abandon them and escape using available resources, but Paul warned them against that because their safety was only gurranteed in their remaining in the hopeless ship. Now that was because the stability and protection they enjoyed in the journey despite storms, tempest and contrary winds they encountered, was because God had a stake in their journey as a result of the presence of Apostle Paul who was there among them as a divine messenger. This time they began to listen to him knowing their safety was tied his voice. “For last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I worship came to me and said, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul! You must stand before the Emperor. And God in his goodness to you has spared the lives of all those who are sailing with you.’” Acts 27:23-24..

Finally, as they followed the leading of Apostle Paul, they were able to secure their lives, though they lost their belongings as he rightly told them. “Just before daybreak, Paul urged everyone to eat. He said, “Today makes two full weeks that you’ve been in fearful peril and hunger, unable to eat a thing. Now eat and be nourished. For you’ll all come through this ordeal without a scratch.” Then Paul took bread and gave thanks to God in front of them, broke it and began to eat. There were 276 people who ate until they were filled, and were strengthened and encouraged.” Acts 27:33-36. They finally landed in Malta. We must learn here today the importance of living a covenant life and carrying his presence in our lifetime. That was, the secret of Apostle Paul. Again, walking in God’s plan makes a man a force to reckon with here on earth. God was with Paul to secure that which he committed to his care in the kingdom.

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus for redeeming me with your blood, so that I live to serve you the rest of my life. Thank you Lord because I live a covenant life before you. Therefore, you will secure me, my loved ones and men around me for my sake. Thank you for watching over me always to help me fulfill my destiny in you forever in Jesus mighty name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Love Not The World

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Thursday November 7th, 2024.

Topic :Love Not The World.

Memory Verse : 1 John 2:17. This world and its desires are in the process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of God live forever.

Bible Reading : 1 John 2:15-16 TPT. Key Verse : v15.

Don’t set the affections of your heart on this world or in loving the things of the world. The love of the Father and the love of the world are incompatible. For all that the world can offer us—the gratification of our flesh, the allurement of the things of the world, and the obsession with status and importance—none of these things come from the Father but from the world.

The desire of God is to have a love relationship with us as his children and creature. This love and preference for man by God was displayed from the beginning of creation. He revealed his love and preference for man by creating us after his likeness and image to dominate and subdue the earth . He also gave his breath to us that gave us life. He went ahead to place everything he created under the care and control of man to sustain him and make his life worthwhile. He placed man in Eden where he had everything he needed made available. Even when man sinned and was sent out of Eden and into his present life, God never abandoned him. He still had to send Jesus Christ, his one and only son to die for our sins, so that we can be restored to a life of close relationship with our creator and King. All this God did for the sake of love. John 3:16.

God expects us to reciprocate this love and preference he has showered on us by loving him in return. His intention is to provoke or unlock our own love for him by the love and care he displays over us. When we live contrary, it means that we are blind to God’s desire and plan for our lives and live as ungrateful creatures. Now our love for God can be measured by our level of commitment to him and obedience to his word or commands. ““You show that you are my intimate friends when you obey all that I command you. I have never called you ‘servants,’ because a master doesn’t confide in his servants, and servants don’t always understand what the master is doing. But I call you my most intimate friends, for I reveal to you everything that I’ve heard from my Father. You didn’t choose me, but I’ve chosen and commissioned you to go into the world to bear fruit. And your fruit will last, because whatever you ask of my Father, for my sake, he will give it to you!” John 15:14-16.

Today many people inside our churches are there for being sake. Most people are there because of what they intend to receive from God as to meet their earthly needs. Some mingle with the crowd intending get connection to quality men for selfish reasons. They don’t have any intentions to know God for themselves or cultivate a rewarding relationship with him. They live and reason like men in the streets and market places. Even when God is trying to use all kind of things and situations to get their attention, so that they can serve him, to remain unmoved. The reason is because they are neck deep into the world system that hates God his righteousness. They are being eaten up by unhealthy and ungodly worldly desires. This happens because they are in church, yet deep into the worldly system that is incompatible with God and his desires. They want to eat their cake and still have it back. The reason many are not experiencing growth in their spiritual life is because the world and the love of it chokes to death every word that supposed to build them up. Luke 8:14, 21:34.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for loving me and giving me Jesus to die to redeem my soul. Help also to die to the flesh and the world system, so that I can live the rest of my life to please you. Thank you for shedding your love abroad in my heart by your indwelling Spirit in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Some Proofs The Divine Nature Of Jesus Christ.

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Tuesday November 5th, 2024.

Topic :Some Proofs The Divine Nature Of Jesus Christ.

Memory Verse : Mark 2:5. When Jesus saw the extent of their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “My son, your sins are now forgiven.”

Bible Reading :. Mark 2:2-4 TPT. Key Verse : v5.

Soon there were so many people crowded inside the house to hear him that there was no more room, even outside the door. While Jesus was preaching the word of God, four men arrived, carrying a paralyzed man. But when they realized that they couldn’t even get near him because of the crowd, they went up on top of the house and tore away the roof above Jesus’ head. And when they had broken through, they lowered the paralyzed man on a stretcher right down in front of him!

There are some things Christ said and did in the Bible as proof to his divine nature. Here we see him tell a paralytic man that was dying that his sins were forgiven to the amazement of his audience who knew that no one is in the right position to forgive sins on earth, except God almighty alone. Again his ability to know the history of the man, who was brought to him as to discern that his sins was the cause of his predicament is another confirmation of the fact that he is God. Only God knows all things. We as human knows only in parts. Not only that, he was able to read the thoughts of his audience who wondered why he should be forgiving sins which is a prerogative of God alone. When he read their minds, he responded to the thoughts of their heart without them telling him anything.

Now we see a situation in city of Carpernaum where he was teaching somewhere in a house and the house was filled with men to the brim with overflow. Some desperate men came with their sick friend to let him minister healing to him. Because of the crowd they couldn’t made any headway. Now they couldn’t give up because they were not sure of a second chance, they struggled to open the roo’f of the building in order to lower their sick friend to meet the master where he was in the building. “But to convince you that the Son of Man has been given authority to forgive sins, I say to this man, ‘Stand up, pick up your stretcher, and walk home.’” Immediately the man sprang to his feet in front of everyone and left for home. When the crowds witnessed this miracle, they were awestruck. They shouted praises to God and said, “We’ve never seen anything like this before!”” Mark 2:10-12.

“Whoever believes the good news and is baptized will be saved, and whoever does not believe the good news will be condemned. And these miracle signs will accompany those who believe: They will drive out demons in the power of my name. They will speak in tongues. They will be supernaturally protected from snakes and from drinking anything poisonous. And they will lay hands on the sick and heal them.”” Mark 16:16-18. Because Jesus is God, today healing, miracles and signs and wonders happen at the use of his name. There’s no name given to any human being, their office, tittle, ranking or whatever they claim in life notwithstanding, whose name can do all this great and wonderful things. The worked for the Apostles in the Bible and is still working today.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for coming to the earth in the form a man in order to save me. Help to take maximum advantage of the sacrifice of Jesus to be justified. Thank you because, I believe, therefore the name of Jesus will work wonders for me because he is God in Jesus mighty name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Bible Reading : John 4:12-14 TPT. Key Verse : v12.

Do you really think that you are greater than our ancestor Jacob who dug this well and drank from it himself, along with his children and livestock?” Jesus answered, “If you drink from Jacob’s well you’ll be thirsty again and again, but if anyone drinks the living water I give them, they will never thirst again and will be forever satisfied! For when you drink the water I give you it becomes a gushing fountain of the Holy Spirit, springing up and flooding you with endless life!”

The encounter of the Samaritan woman with our Lord Jesus Christ brought out a dimension of his diety or the fact that he is God. The woman was looking at a man not knowing that this man was different because he had a unique dimension of God. Being conceived of the Holy Spirit, he was fully God, though human at the same time. Because the blood of Mary, a woman was functioning in her too, which is the reason he could be killed or crucified on the cross. Without the human nature, it won’t have been possible for him to shed his blood for the redemption of mankind, there on the cross of calvary, because spirits don’t die. “This is how you will be able to know whether it is God’s Spirit: anyone who acknowledges that Jesus Christ came as a human being has the Spirit who comes from God. But anyone who denies this about Jesus does not have the Spirit from God. The spirit that he has is from the Enemy of Christ; you heard that it would come, and now it is here in the world already.” 1 John 4:2-3.GNB.

Now coming to the question of the woman, she asked if Jesus was greater than Jacob their father who dug the well by which they met; when he sojourned in his lifetime, from which he drank and gave also to his cattle. Now Jesus truly was greater because he is God the creator while Jacob and everyone of us are his creature. Therefore Jesus was not created, rather all things were made by him and to serve his purpose. Therefore any man on earth living for himself is wasting, whatever they achieve that the eyes can see notwithstanding. When such men breath their last, they leave the earth empty like every other individual and get detached by force from their earthly properties and things they laboured to acquire, defend and valued most in their lifetime. Ecclesiastes 1:2-4.

It is true we live a material world and need material things for our daily survival. Jesus wants us to understand that we need to realise that man is a has a soul and spirit that doesn’t die. When we drop this body we are putting on at the moment, the soul continues to journey in eternity. Then the breath of the Spirit of God that gave us life returns to the creator. Now, I want us to realise that Jesus was just trying to let the woman by the well and ourselves understand the importance of eternal things. The physical water we drink satisfies for a short time, after which we thirst again and again. But the Holy Spirit we receive from Jesus as promise kept empowers us to live victorious here on earth and drives us into eternal in victory. The Holy Spirit is a flow from God’s presence into our own lives, making available to man every resources we need to live in the supernatural, just like God himself. His Spirit makes us to walk in divine creativity while we live our lives here on earth as he continues to recreate our world using as a channel to reach mankind. John 4:13-14.

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus for giving us your Spirit. Thank you because by your Spirit ‘am empowered to live creative. Let your Spirit rule my life and help me achieve things that will last into eternity Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Empowered By The Spirit To Obey

ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Sunday November 3rd, 2024.

Topic :Empowered By The Spirit To Obey.

Memory Verse : Deuteronomy 8:4. During these forty years your clothes have not worn out, nor have your feet swollen up.

Bible Reading : Deuteronomy 8:1-3 GNB. Key Verse : v3.

“Obey faithfully all the laws that I have given you today, so that you may live, increase in number, and occupy the land which the Lord promised to your ancestors. Remember how the Lord your God led you on this long journey through the desert these past forty years, sending hardships to test you, so that he might know what you intended to do and whether you would obey his commands. He made you go hungry, and then he gave you manna to eat, food that you and your ancestors had never eaten before. He did this to teach you that human beings must not depend on bread alone to sustain them, but on everything that the Lord says.

The book of Deuteronomy contains the last words that Moses delivered to the children of Israel before he went to be with the Lord. It is true that we are no more relating with God based on the Tora or the law as was given to Moses. At the same time, it is good to note that no man can have a deep walk with God without first understanding his nature and character. God revealed his nature and character to Moses and the people of Israel in his dealings with them. The new covenant of grace and mercy we operate didn’t alter the nature or character of God. Rather grace postpones divine judgement for the sinner or offender as long as the sinner is still alive, with hope that such individual or people takes advantage of season of grace to repent or turn away from their evil ways and be pardoned. 2 Peter 3:9.

Even today, any man God must entrust great things into his hands must be tested. Jesus Christ himself though he was the son of God, because he had a human nature in him, was also tested because that is God’s way of approving every human he needs to depend on to anchor his plan and purposes on earth. Jesus himself after he fasted 40 days and nights in readiness to commence his earthly ministry was carried by the Spirit of God to a wilderness where he was subjected to some test. It was after he passed the test that he came down qualified to carry the power of God to meet the needs of mankind. In one of the responses Jesus gave the temper, he emphasised the words of Moses as contained in our main text. “It was then the devil said to him, “If you are really the Son of God, command this stone to turn into a loaf of bread for you.” Jesus replied, “I will not! For it is written in the Scriptures, ‘Life does not come only from eating bread but from God. Life flows from every revelation from his mouth.’”” Luke 4:3-4 TPT.

“Jesus answered him, “The most important of all the commandments is this: ‘The Lord Yahweh, our God, is one!’ You are to love the Lord Yahweh, your God, with every passion of your heart, with all the energy of your being, with every thought that is within you, and with all your strength. This is the great and supreme commandment. And the second is this: ‘You must love your neighbor in the same way you love yourself.’ You will never find a greater commandment than these.”” Mark 12:29-31 TPT. Now in this dispensation of grace, all it takes for us to obey the commandments of God is to walk in love. Now the Holy Spirit given to us by God is the one who empowers us obey the Lord with joy too through the channel of love. “And patient endurance will refine our character, and proven character leads us back to hope. And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us!” Romans 5:4-5 TPT.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for giving me your Spirit. Help me to always walk in your love by your Spirit residing in me. Thank you because I love you, I will always obey your voice with joy all my days in Jesus precious name….. Amen 🙏🏿.
