Topic :Go For The Door Of Salvation.

Memory Verse :Acts 10:35. Those who worship him and do what is right are acceptable to him, no matter what race they belong to.

Bible Reading :Acts 10:32-34 GNB. Key Verse: v33.

Send someone to Joppa for a man whose full name is Simon Peter. He is a guest in the home of Simon the tanner of leather, who lives by the sea.’ All the prophets spoke about him, saying that all who believe in him will have their sins forgiven through the power of his name.” While Peter was still speaking, the Holy Spirit came down on all those who were listening to his message. The Jewish believers who had come from Joppa with Peter were amazed that God had poured out his gift of the Holy Spirit on the Gentiles also.

Cornelius was a man that loved the God of the Jews though he was a Gentile. He lived his life to seek and to serve the living God in prayer, fasting and alms giving. His generosity was known among the people. As he spent time seeking and serving God Almighty, a door of salvation opened unto him, his family and people as he touched the heart of the Almighty. “It was about three o’clock one afternoon when he had a vision, in which he clearly saw an angel of God come in and say to him, “Cornelius!” He stared at the angel in fear and said, “What is it, sir?”The angel answered, “God is pleased with your prayers and works of charity, and is ready to answer you. And now send some men to Joppa for a certain man whose full name is Simon Peter. He is a guest in the home of a tanner of leather named Simon, who lives by the sea. Then the angel went away, and Cornelius called two of his house servants and a soldier, a religious man who was one of his personal attendants. He told them what had happened and sent them off to Joppa.” Acts 10:3-8.

Before the men sent by Cornelius arrived to pick up Apostle Peter, the Lord began to deal with Peter to prepare him to follow these messengers. “He saw heaven opened and something coming down that looked like a large sheet being lowered by its four corners to the earth. In it were all kinds of animals, reptiles, and wild birds.. A voice said to him, “Get up, Peter; kill and eat!”. But Peter said, “Certainly not, Lord! I have never eaten anything ritually unclean or defiled.”.The voice spoke to him again, “Do not consider anything unclean that God has declared clean.” This happened three times, and then the thing was taken back up into heaven.. While Peter was wondering about the meaning of this vision, the men sent by Cornelius had learnt where Simon’s house was, and they were now standing in front of the gate.. They called out and asked, “Is there a guest here by the name of Simon Peter?”. Peter was still trying to understand what the vision meant, when the Spirit said, “Listen! Three men are here looking for you. So get ready and go down, and do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them.”” Acts 10:11-20.

“While Peter was still speaking, the Holy Spirit came down on all those who were listening to his message. The Jewish believers who had come from Joppa with Peter were amazed that God had poured out his gift of the Holy Spirit on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speaking in strange tongues and praising God’s greatness. Peter spoke up: “These people have received the Holy Spirit, just as we also did. Can anyone, then, stop them from being baptized with water?” So he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay with them for a few days.” Acts 10:44-48. Like Cornelius, his household and people, the first and most important door God wants to open for men around the world this season is the door of salvation. The key to accessing this door is hunger for the truth and righteousness. Mathew 6:33..This door of salvation is very important because it has to do with things that are useful in this life and in eternity. It also gurrantees the opening of other doors you desire to beautify your life, so that you serve God with joy. Anytime we have a genuine hunger for God, he always responds with more than enough of divine supply. Mathew 5:6.

Prayer : Thank you Lord Jesus for your interest in me that made you die to save my soul. Thank you for opening the door of salvation to me, my household and people. Thank you because I won’t take your grace and mercy that brings salvation for granted. Thank you for beautifying my life and granting me capacity to impact lives positively in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic :Let Your Testimony Count.

Memory Verse :Matthew 8:4. Then Jesus said to him, “Listen! Don’t tell anyone, but go straight to the priest and let him examine you; then in order to prove to everyone that you are cured, offer the sacrifice that Moses ordered.”

Bible Reading :Matthew 8:1-3 GNB. Key Verse: v3.

When Jesus came down from the hill, large crowds followed him. Then a man suffering from a dreaded skin disease came to him, knelt down before him, and said, “Sir, if you want to, you can make me clean.” Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him. “I do want to,” he answered. “Be clean!” At once the man was healed of his disease.

This particular man in this Bible portion had leprosy which was dreaded because of it’s very contagious and devastating nature anywhere it enters. That’s the reason people who had such decease were separated from the society to live in solitary colonies till they recovered. The reason was to curb the spread of such deadly contagious infections. Here we saw that Jesus came down from the place of prayer (from the mountains) and a crowd followed him. On his way he met this leprous man who solicited for help to be healed. After Jesus healed him, he told him to do something significant. He sent him to the unbelieving religious leaders and priests who saw Jesus as a treath to their ambitions and personal pursuits instead of divine agenda.

“You know about Jesus of Nazareth and how God poured out on him the Holy Spirit and power. He went everywhere, doing good and healing all who were under the power of the Devil, for God was with him. We are witnesses of everything that he did in the land of Israel and in Jerusalem. Then they put him to death by nailing him to a cross. But God raised him from death three days later and caused him to appear, not to everyone, but only to the witnesses that God had already chosen, that is, to us who ate and drank with him after he rose from death. And he commanded us to preach the gospel to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God has appointed judge of the living and the dead.” Acts 10:38-42.

In our main text, Jesus commanded the leprous man he healed to go and bear witness to the unbelieving priests and religious leaders, doing things that are prescribed in the law which the priests operated. The priests here represents a category of people today who after seeing what Jesus does or is doing in the lives of men, turn blind eyes because of what they think they know or stand for, to the detriment of their souls. They refuse to embrace the saviour because of reasons best known to them. Again, in the Acts 10 we saw the Spirit of God send Peter to Cornelius’s house to bear witness of the truth and bring many souls unto salvation as made available in Christ Jesus. As Peter obeyed the voice of the Holy Spirit, the result opned new doors to reach the Gentiles in their days. Today, as we follow the Spirit, he will use us to reach out to men in order to lead them to Christ through our witnessing. Never forget that we were saved, in order to be used and reach out to the unsaved. You must therefore allow your witnessing or testimony of Jesus count in your lifetime .

Prayer :Thank you Father God for saving me, so that you can use me to reach out to the unsaved. I ask that you open my eyes to men you want to use my testimonies of you to bring into your kingdom. Use me to draw men to yourself in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic :Beware Of Demonic Traditions And Cultures.

Memory Verse :Exodus 34:14. “Do not worship any other god, because I, the Lord, tolerate no rivals.

Bible Reading. Hosea 4:1-3 GNB. Key Verse : v3.

The Lord has an accusation to bring against the people who live in this land. Listen, Israel, to what he says: “There is no faithfulness or love in the land, and the people do not acknowledge me as God. They make promises and break them; they lie, murder, steal, and commit adultery. Crimes increase, and there is one murder after another. And so the land will dry up, and everything that lives on it will die. All the animals and birds, and even the fish, will die.”

Jehovah the creator of heaven and earth and everything we can or can’t see is a God of love. John wrote that God is love. This means that God himself is love personified. His relationship with mankind is founded on love. Anywhere love exists in the real sense of it, there’s always some element of jealousy to protect it. That element of jealousy is what prevents a man or woman involved in a love relationship from releasing his partner to his best friend. “I am God, your God,who brought you out of the land of Egypt,out of a life of slavery. No other gods, only me. No carved gods of any size, shape, or form of anything whatever, whether of things that fly or walk or swim. Don’t bow down to them and don’t serve them because I am God, your God, and I’m a most jealous God, punishing the children for any sins their parents pass on to them to the third, and yes, even to the fourth generation of those who hate me. But I’m unswervingly loyal to the thousands who love me and keep my commandments.” Exodus 20:2-6 MSG.

God in Hosea chapter 4 had a controversy with the people of Israel because they forsook the God who created them and chose them as a first born among the nations. Most the calamamities that befell them in the history of their nationhood was because they left the true and living God of their fathers to serves idols or demons. Most of the time God had to send his prophets to warn them, but they were hardened in their waywardness which always attracted divine judgement and punishment. “You grow rich from the sins of my people, and so you want them to sin more and more. You will suffer the same punishment as the people! I will punish you and make you pay for the evil you do. You will eat your share of the sacrifices, but still be hungry. You will worship the fertility gods, but still have no children, because you have turned away from me to follow other gods.” The Lord says, “Wine, both old and new, is robbing my people of their senses!” Hosea 4:8-11.

Even today in many places people still hold on to idol worship in the name of culture and traditions of men. The commonest way people worship idols in our days is through culture and traditions of men that are rooted in idol worship. I know a man who used to finance the Ekpe festival in his home town thinking it was all about what they do in the open. He was shocked to discover after some years of financing the festival that they used to make sacrifices to demons or idols at night before the festival could hold in the day. That was the last time he financed such because he knew the implications. It is good to point out here that such idolatrous practices are channels through which Satan and demons working under his government of darkness renew demonic covenant and strongholds over and people or territories in order to bring such people under the cast of darkness. We have to be careful what we get involved in the name of tradition to avoid bringing divine judgement upon ourselves because the Lord will never let them that despise him and give glory due to him to things he created. Only him deserves our worship.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because only you deserves my worship forever. Help me to live a life that will attract your blessing to me and as many as are connected to me all my days in Jesus precious name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic :Make Jesus Your Life Companion.

Memory Verse:
Mark 4:39. Jesus stood up and commanded the wind, “Be quiet!” and he said to the waves, “Be still!” The wind died down, and there was a great calm.

Bible Reading :Mark 4:36-38 TPT. Key Verse : v37.

Mark 4:36-38 GNB. So they left the crowd; the disciples got into the boat in which Jesus was already sitting, and they took him with them. Other boats were there too. Suddenly a strong wind blew up, and the waves began to spill over into the boat, so that it was about to fill with water. Jesus was in the back of the boat, sleeping with his head on a pillow. The disciples woke him up and said, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are about to die?”

Jesus Christ had just finished teaching the people on the parables of the sower with his seed and the mustard seed by the seaside and in a boat. When evening was approaching, he boarded one of the boats to cross over to the other side of the sea with his disciples. Because be was exhausted, he slept off on the way resting. In the middle of the journey, they began to encounter turbulent storm and wind which affected their boat, trying to submerge it. The situation was very terrifying as it was beyond what the disciples could manage. So they had to wake him from his sleep to alert him of the impending danger, seeking his intervention. “Suddenly a strong wind blew up, and the waves began to spill over into the boat, so that it was about to fill with water. Jesus was in the back of the boat, sleeping with his head on a pillow. The disciples woke him up and said, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are about to die?”” Mark 4:37-38..

When the master awoke, all he did was to rebuke the forces behind the storm and everywhere became calm suddenly. One of the reasons many get overwhelmed and sometimes get destroyed by negative situations they encounter in the journey of life is because they travel or undertake such crucial journey with the wrong company. Others believe in themselves to the extent that they feel that they don’t need Jesus the master to be with them. They have a know it all mentality because of their exposure in life and what they think they know. By the time their human inadequacies becomes very glaring to them, some of them feel ashamed to ask for help from him who doesn’t count on the errors of men because of his love for mankind. “Everyone whom my Father gives me will come to me. I will never turn away anyone who comes to me, because I have come down from heaven to do not my own will but the will of him who sent me. And it is the will of him who sent me that I should not lose any of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them all to life on the last day.” John 6:37.

Today we need to understand that life is a very important journey that we can’t afford to toy with. We all have one life to live and must not take anything for granted. We have to take full or best advantage of every help available in Jesus that will secure our journey beyond what ordinary eyes can see. You must therefore realise as an individual today that you need Jesus as a life companion and partner to weather some destructive storms that may come your way in this life. You must note that there are situations that goes beyond or out of human control. At that point men that have Jesus in their lives as back up always fall back on him for help because every creature and powers, seen and unseen obeys him. Your relationship with him in this life gurrantees you unhindered access to his ever present help in times of need. “Let the giving of thanks be your sacrifice to God, and give the Almighty all that you promised. Call to me when trouble comes; I will save you, and you will praise me.”” Psalms 50:14-25.

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus for being a loving and caring saviour. Thank you because no one journeying with you gets stranded or disappointed. I therefore ask you to be my life companion till everlasting victory. Thank you for being there for me in times need in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic Prayer Changes All Things.

Memory Verse:Jeremiah 33:3. “Call to me, and I will answer you; I will tell you wonderful and marvellous things that you know nothing about.

Bible Reading :1 Chronicles 4:8-9 GNB. Key Verse : v9.

There was a man named Jabez, who was the most respected member of his family. His mother had given him the name Jabez, because his birth had been very painful. But Jabez prayed to the God of Israel, “Bless me, God, and give me much land. Be with me and keep me from anything evil that might cause me pain.” And God gave him what he prayed for.

There’s something to learn from the life of Jabez in our main text. There was nothing to write home about the young man and his family, where nothing worked. The circumstances sorrounding his birth didn’t help matters because it was full of ugly experiences. The mum had to name him Jabez meaning sorrow or one delivered in pain. But Jabez refused to allow circumstances define him, as he took to a lifestyle of prayer because he knew a God who had what it takes to rewrites the stories of men with the ink of heaven. He therefore decided to seek this God till he answered him. “If you have ears, then, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches! “To those who win the victory I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give each of them a white stone on which is written a new name that no one knows except the one who receives it.” Revelation 2:17.

One of the main reasons men fail in life is not because of the circumstances they find themselves in, but because they refused to serve and seek God in prayers till they find him. Prayer makes the creative power of God available to men on a platter of gold. In the place of prayer, destines of men, nations and generations are shaped and reshaped.. Through prayers, we are able to join forces with God to enforce his will and blessings over territories, our own lives and that of other people in distant and near places. “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.. For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” .3 John 1:2-4.

If you look at the statement of Elijah closely when he was shutting down the heavens from giving neither dew nor rain till he makes another pronouncement over the land, you will discover that the secret of the uncommon power he wielded in the open was as result of the fact that he was a man who always appeared before the Lord in the secret place in order to control things using the intrumentality of prayer. ” Elijah was the same kind of person as we are. He prayed earnestly that there would be no rain, and no rain fell on the land for three and a half years. Once again he prayed, and the sky poured out its rain and the earth produced its crops.” James 5:17-18.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for always coming down to my level to relate with me. I worship you because no praying man or people fails in life. From today, help me to stay with you in the place of prayer and change whatever situation that doesn’t glorify you in my life and that of my loved ones in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic :Time To Return To The Lord.

Memory Verse:Isaiah 59:19. The Lord says to his people, “I will come to Jerusalem to defend you and to save all of you that turn from your sins.

Bible Reading :Isaiah 59:1-3 GNB. Key Verse : v2.

Don’t think that the Lord is too weak to save you or too deaf to hear your call for help! It is because of your sins that he doesn’t hear you. It is your sins that separate you from God when you try to worship him. You are guilty of lying, violence, and murder.

This season which is the beginning of the year, many people turn to God in prayer and fasting for his presence and help through the new year. Many see the need for divine intervention in order to have a year better than the past one. Sometimes after these times of waiting, people don’t end up achieving much simply because we always desire to walk in our selfish plans and transact with the master at our own personal terms and conditions instead of his. Now, we need to realise that God Almighty is the principal in our relationship with him. To that extent, we must relate with him following his laid down terms. When we fail for do that, we expose ourselves to avoidable difficulties because we will be walking against the tide of life. Matthew 11:28-30. “Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. For the yoke I will give you is easy, and the load I will put on you is light.””

The right way to come to the Lord this time of the year is in repentance. We need to conduct a check on ourselves using the word of God as our standard, to know the areas we were found wanting in the past in view to tow the paths of repentance. I always say that what destroys men is not sin itself, but their inability to repent and turn away from their sins. This is because when we repent and turn away from our sins, God always forgives and reveals his deep mercies to us no matter how terrible our sins may be. “But if we live in the light — just as he is in the light — then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from every sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and there is no truth in us. But if we confess our sins to God, he will keep his promise and do what is right: he will forgive us our sins and purify us from all our wrongdoing. If we say that we have not sinned, we make God out to be a liar, and his word is not in us.” 1 John 1:7-10.

“He will punish his enemies according to what they have done, even those who live in distant lands. From east to west everyone will fear him and his great power. He will come like a rushing river, like a strong wind. The Lord says to his people, “I will come to Jerusalem to defend you and to save all of you that turn from your sins. And I make a covenant with you: I have given you my power and my teachings to be yours for ever, and from now on you are to obey me and teach your children and your descendants to obey me for all time to come.”” Isaiah 59:17-20. When we do what is right before the Lord, he will an enemy to our enemies. He will turn the heat of divine judgement and punishment on them that hate us for our sake. He will defend you and us and our territories against every incursions of wicked forces. Finally when we humble ourselves before him, he will commit himself to a covenant relationship with us. This will make his power and authority available to us to enable us walk in perpetual victory all our days. He will also teach us his ways so that we can walk in his wisdom the rest of our days to keep us in the paths of safety.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because your mercies endures forever. Holy Spirit, conduct a search on me. Help me to detect and repent of any sin that will limit God in my life this new year. Let your covenant of mercy and instructions be my portion forever in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic :Take Advantage Of Doors Of Restoration And Recovery.

Memory Verse:Luke 5:15. But the news about Jesus spread all the more widely, and crowds of people came to hear him and be healed from their diseases.

Bible Reading : Luke 5:12.:14 GNB. Key Verse : v5.

Once Jesus was in a town where there was a man who was suffering from a dreaded skin disease. When he saw Jesus, he threw himself down and begged him, “Sir, if you want to, you can make me clean!” Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him. “I do want to,” he answered. “Be clean!” At once the disease left the man. Jesus ordered him, “Don’t tell anyone, but go straight to the priest and let him examine you; then to prove to everyone that you are cured, offer the sacrifice as Moses ordered.”

This time Jesus came across this man whose life had been deformed by terrible skin decease or leprosy. Such a man wasn’t living a normal life anymore because his decease was contagious. To avoid him spreading such among the people, he is taken away from his own people and normal human beings to live among abnormal people like himself. But this man took full advantage of a meeting with Jesus the creator and healer. He knew it was a lifetime meeting and a door that could rewrite his story. He humbly worshipped Jesus and acknowledged the fact that he had what it takes to change his situation and restore him to sound health, only if it was the will of the Master to do so. “My dear friend, I pray that everything may go well with you and that you may be in good health — as I know you are well in spirit. I was so happy when some fellow-Christians arrived and told me how faithful you are to the truth — just as you always live in the truth. Nothing makes me happier than to hear that my children live in the truth.” 3 John 1:2-3.

Today, we need to understand that it is the will of Jesus that we come out every form of deformities we found ourselves in before we met him. We should not be confused about it for any reason. This understanding will help us pray and trust him for answers without having any shadows of doubts in our minds. All you need is to humble yourself before him and acknowledge his ability to deliver and to save from all forms of deformation, peril and destruction. ““When that day comes, you will not ask me for anything. I am telling you the truth: the Father will give you whatever you ask him for in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your happiness may be complete. “I have used figures of speech to tell you these things. But the time will come when I will not use figures of speech, but will speak to you plainly about the Father. When that day comes, you will ask him in my name; and I do not say that I will ask him on” your behalf, for the Father himself loves you. He loves you because you love me and have believed that I came from God.” John 16:23-27.

One of the doors Jesus has opened this season is the doors of healing and restoration. There are things the enemy stole from you, your health, business, career, finances, family, marriage and ministry that the master wants to restore this season. Yes, it is his will to restore the joy of your marriage and other aspects of your life Satan tampered with before now. Begin to worship him and make your requests known to him with thanksgiving because you are sure of the fact that he will do it this time. “Show a gentle attitude towards everyone. The Lord is coming soon.. Don’t worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart. And God’s peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:5-7.

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus for it is your will that I walk in sound health in every dimension of my life. Today I worship you creator, healer and restorer of lost hope. As I worship you, let your hand of healing, divine recovery and restoration be upon my…….. (mention them) in Jesus mighty name……. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic : You’ve Been Configured To Weather The Storm.

Memory Verse:‭1 Corinthians 16:9. because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me.

After I go through LPMacedonia, I will come to you—for I will be going through Macedonia. Perhaps I will stay with you for a while, or even spend the winter, so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go. For I do not want to see you now and make only a passing visit; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits. But I will stay on at Ephesus until Pentecost,

Apostle Paul was called and commissioned by Jesus to take the gospel to the gentilles in a new dimension in his time. Though he began as a persecutor of the saints out of his ignorance and lack of understanding of God’s agenda as it unfolded in his days. Grace appeared to him however as he was bent on troubling early believers because they were departing from Judaism to embrace the light of the gospel of Christ. ‭”Then I asked, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ “ ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,’ the Lord replied. ‘Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of me. I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’ “So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven.” Acts 26:15-19.

After his arrest and conversion, the Lord had to open doors of utterance before people, races and nations to him so that he could fulfill his divine assignment of making Jesus the saviour known to the people, so that they could take advantage of the available window of salvation made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Every open door to Paul came with corresponding challenges he had to deal with. ” He said: “Some Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul before the Sanhedrin tomorrow on the pretext of wanting more accurate information about him. Don’t give in to them, because more than forty of them are waiting in ambush for him. They have taken an oath not to eat or drink until they have killed him. They are ready now, waiting for your consent to their request.” The commander dismissed the young man with this warning: “Don’t tell anyone that you have reported this to me.”” Acts 23:20-22. They had to sneak Apostle Paul out of town.

When God open doors for kingdom purposes or to lift and bless men here on earth, there are bound to be some form of opposition. This happens because there are men who make themselves instruments in the hands of the devil to the destruction of their own souls most time, except they repent, who try to resist God’s move in the lives of individuals, families, people and nations. At this point, we must note that God’s hand doesn’t eliminate challenges when we walk in his plan, rather his involvement gurrantees us victory when we go all out to use every resources made available by the sender and commissioner himself to counter the forays of wicked forces, no matter how fierce the opposition may appear. ““I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”” John 16:33. Jesus told us here to have confidence and peace in the midst of trouble because the victory he got on the cross belongs to us. That’s the reason Paul could write that…..” in all these things (troubles), we are more than conquerors through him that loved us (and gave himself for us)”. Romans 8:37.

Prayer : Thank you Father God for every grace made available to me and every doors you are opening to enable me fulfill purpose. Thank you because before challenges arise, you have given me the victory already. I worship you because what you began in my life, no power can stop in Jesus mighty name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic :Power And Strength For The New Season.

Memory Verse:Hebrews 12:3. Think of what he went through; how he put up with so much hatred from sinners! So do not let yourselves become discouraged and give up.

Bible Reading :Hebrews 12:1-2 GNB. Key Verse: v2.

As for us, we have this large crowd of witnesses round us. So then, let us rid ourselves of everything that gets in the way, and of the sin which holds on to us so tightly, and let us run with determination the race that lies before us. Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end. He did not give up because of the cross! On the contrary, because of the joy that was waiting for him, he thought nothing of the disgrace of dying on the cross, and he is now seated at the right-hand side of God’s throne.

As children of God, Jesus Christ has become our perfect role model. We have to keep our eyes fixed on him as our standard and role model, to avoid having broken focus. The race of life becomes easier when we focus on him and depend on him for strength and encouragement. He was able to succeed on his own earthly assignment as saviour and deliverer by focusing on the crown and glory he was walking towards in his submission to God’s plan. The joy of the hsrvest of many souls around the universe provided him enough strength that made him pull through when the weight of dying on the cross dawned on him there at Gethsemane, Matthew 26:42. “We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose. Those whom God had already chosen he also set apart to become like his Son, so that the Son would be the eldest brother in a large family. And so those whom God set apart, he called; and those he called, he put right with himself, and he shared his glory with them.” Romans 8:28-30..

All the saints in glory who ran ahead of us are the cloud of witnesses that we enjoy daily when we tune into the realm of the saviour. They cheer us up or encourage us in difficult times with their personal and collective testimonies. Because they made it as humans, we are encouraged to know that we can and will make it also just like themselves. The scenario is just like that of an athlete in the thick of difficult competition who is being encouraged by the cheering wirds or noise of his supporters from the stands, where he draws required strength to stay in contention till he finally overcomes the opposition and wears the crown. “Surely you know that many runners take part in a race, but only one of them wins the prize. Run, then, in such a way as to win the prize.. Every athlete in training submits to strict discipline, in order to be crowned with a wreath that will not last; but we do it for one that will last for ever. That is why I run straight for the finishing line; that is why I am like a boxer who does not waste his punches.” 1 Corinthians 9:24-26.

“Don’t you know? Haven’t you heard? The Lord is the everlasting God; he created all the world. He never grows tired or weary. No one understands his thoughts. He strengthens those who are weak and tired. Even those who are young grow weak; young people can fall exhausted. But those who trust in the Lord for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak.” Isaiah 40:28-31. This new season of visitation and open doors to your victory. You need to wait on the Lord as to be clothed with his power and strength for the new season. You need his power and strength to make the best use of doors of elavation and greatness the Lord is opening in order to bless you till you become a blessing.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because power belongs to you. Thank you because your strength is inexhuastible. As I wait on you this time, clothe me with power and strength that will carry me through the doors you are opening for me in victory in Jesus wonderful name….. Amen 🙏🏿.
