Topic : Responding To Grace.

Memory Verse:1 Corinthians 15:4. that he was buried and that he was raised to life three days later, as written in the Scriptures;

Bible Reading : 1 Corinthians 15:1-3 GNB. Key Verse : v2.

And now I want to remind you, my brothers and sisters, of the Good News which I preached to you, which you received, and on which your faith stands firm. That is the gospel, the message that I preached to you. You are saved by the gospel if you hold firmly to it — unless it was for nothing that you believed. I passed on to you what I received, which is of the greatest importance: that Christ died for our sins, as written in the Scriptures;

The gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is the only authentic channel through which men can be saved from condemnation, and eternal destruction, which is the second and real death. Salvation became possible because of what Jesus Christ did. He took our place in the judgement seat of God and died for the sins of mankind. The good news now is that men who were dead in sin and darkness can now migrate to light and righteousness through the blood he shed for sin. All we need to do to access his grace that brought salvation is just to believe in our heart and confess with our mouth, which is acceptance of the free gift of God. “For it was only through this wonderful grace that we believed in him. Nothing we did could ever earn this salvation, for it was the gracious gift from God that brought us to Christ! So no one will ever be able to boast, for salvation is never a reward for good works or human striving.” Ephesians 2:8-9 TPT.

We need to understand that the uniqueness of Christianity revolves around the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Nobody else in the history of mankind has been able to die for his followers or those that will believe in him. Again no man who ever died as a religious leader and was buried ever rose from the dead. Even in the Bible, only Jesus could raise all manner people from the dead. The people he brought back to life included those who just died, to those were already put in the coffin for burial purposes and those who had been buried for some days. Lazarus as a case study had been buried for four days before Jesus came over and called him out of the grave in a display of superior authority and control over life and death. “She replied, “Yes, I know he will rise with everyone else on resurrection day.” “Martha,” Jesus said, “You don’t have to wait until then. I am the Resurrection, and I am Life Eternal. Anyone who clings to me in faith, even though he dies, will live forever. John 11:24-25 TPT.

After we get saved, we don’t need to relax but have to consciously build up ourselves in the paths of righteousness for victorious living. This becomes possible when we take advantage of the demands grace places upon us. Grace places demand on us to live responsibly knowing that we have to henceforth live to manifest the cultures of God’s kingdom of light and life, where we now belong to or function. Another important fact we need to note is that in being responsible believers, we have to Labour or form partnership with the master to make sure people around us have access to same grace by making him known among the people. “But when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be filled with power, and you will be witnesses for me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”” Acts 1!:8.

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus for paying the supreme prize on the cross to save me. Help me to live to manifest the glory and greatness of your kingdom in my lifetime. Help me by your Spirit to make Christ known to all in Jesus mighty name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic : Ultimate Benefit In Christ.

Memory Verse : 1 John 5:11. The testimony is this: God has given us eternal life, and this life has its source in his Son.

Bible Reading : John 14:1-3 GNB. Key Verse : v3.

“Do not be worried and upset,” Jesus told them. “Believe in God and believe also in me. There are many rooms in my Father’s house, and I am going to prepare a place for you. I would not tell you this if it were not so. And after I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to myself, so that you will be where I am.

Jesus was the most popular man that ever walked the surface of the earth. It was a great experience for the disciples who worked with him because of his personality and things he did. No man was able to feel compassion for men, as well as touch lives like he did. “You know about Jesus of Nazareth and how God poured out on him the Holy Spirit and power. He went everywhere, doing good and healing all who were under the power of the Devil, for God was with him. We are witnesses of everything that he did in the land of Israel and in Jerusalem. Then they put him to death by nailing him to a cross. But God raised him from death three days later and caused ‘him to appear,” Acts 10:38-40.

The impact of Jesus Christ’s earthly life and ministry is being felt all over the world even after he rose from the dead and ascended to heaven. The disciples enjoyed working with him because it was a rare privilege. When he was rounding up his earthly ministry, he began to prepare his disciples for the next phase of the assignment. They began to feel sorrowful because they never wanted him to leave. He therefore began to open their eyes to kingdom realities they never knew before then, so that they could know what they stand to gain from what was about to happen, as divine agenda unfolds.

Today we need to understand that the best thing that can happen to any man on earth is to be with Jesus Christ. Our efforts, sacrifices and labour in him cannot be wasted. Serving Jesus Christ pays here on earth and after this life in eternity. God has a reward system that is meant for his children. The reward system of God is double phased. The first phase is consummated here on earth while the second and last phase will be consummated with our heavenly father. Every other things offered by any other source ends here on earth. Only in Christ can men reign forever with the master in real life, after enjoying his earthly blessings. “If our hope in Christ is good for this life only and no more, then we deserve more pity than anyone else in all the world. But the truth is that Christ has been raised from death, as the guarantee that those who sleep in death will also be raised. For just as death came by means of a man, in the same way the rising from death comes by means of a man. For just as all people die because of their union with Adam, in the same way all will be raised to life because of their union with Christ.The beauty of our being born again and into the family of God is that we be like him and live forever in his presence.” 1 Corinthians 15:19-32..

Prayer : Thank you Lord Jesus for saving my soul from eternal death and destruction. Thank you for making me a member of God’s family through the sacrifice of your blood that washed away my sins. Thank you for preparing eternal home for me. I worship you because of eternal plan for me soul in Jesus mighty name…… Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic : Activating Divine Intervention.

Memory Verse: John 9:8. His neighbours, then, and the people who had seen him begging before this, asked, “Isn’t this the man who used to sit and beg?”

Bible Reading : John 9:5-7 GNB. Key Verse : v6.

While I am in the world, I am the light for the world.” After he said this, Jesus spat on the ground and made some mud with the spittle; he rubbed the mud on the man’s eyes and said, “Go and wash your face in the Pool of Siloam.” (This name means “Sent”.) So the man went, washed his face, and came back seeing.

Jesus met this very blind begger by the roadside with his disciples. When his disciples saw his condition, they wanted to know the cause of his predicament. Having seen the master instruct healed men to go and sin no more and forgiving some sick folks their sins for them to be healed, they thought within themselves that there must be an underlying sin that became a legal ground for the handicap the man was going through. Finally, they asked the master who sinned to keep the blind man in that condition. “As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who had been born blind. His disciples asked him, “Teacher, whose sin caused him to be born blind? Was it his own or his parents’ sin?” Jesus answered, “His blindness has nothing to do with his sins or his parents’ sins. He is blind so that God’s power might be seen at work in him.” John 9:1-3.

At the point of ministering healing to that man, Jesus had to spit on the ground and mixed his spit with the earth. With that he ministered to his eyes and sent him to go to Siloam and wash his face. It is reported that this man’s condition was terrible because he had no eyeballs in the first place, so Jesus Christ had to mould one and fix on him before sending him to go and wash in the pool of Siloam. This instruction was a big test of faith for a man who had never seen before. The question is how can you send a man who had never seen before to go to a pool and wash his face, how will he find his way?

“No one can please God without faith, for whoever comes to God must have faith that God exists and rewards those who seek him.” Hebrews 11:6. Today there are many people Jesus is out to do great things in their lives, but they are struggling with unbelief. In the course of ministering to people, I have discovered that the reason many encounter men that speaks for Jesus or leave God’s presence and return the same is tied to the fact that they believe the temporal situations they find themselves in, instead of what God is saying. Some people are like Naaman who knew what Elijah should have done, they take simple introductions, pronoucements and prayers for granted because they believe it will take God unusual effort to change their situation or give them a miracle. A man like Peter had done his best all night and came out with nothing, but he dared to believe and obey the instruction of Jesus which landed him in a draught, against all known fishing principles. In the case of the blind man in discussion, he wouldn’t have seen, if he didn’t ignore the reality on ground to make the attempt to go to the pool in obedience to divine instruction. Obeying simple instructions from the Lord is key to activating divine intervention in any given situation, no matter how bad they seem to be.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because you can do all things. Today, give me a humble and teachable spirit that believes and follows divine instructions. Thank you for a harvest of miracles coming my way in Jesus wonderful name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic :Go For Extra Oil.

Memory Verse: Matthew 25:6. “It was already midnight when the cry rang out, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come and meet him!’

“At that time the Kingdom of heaven will be like this. Once there were ten young women who took their oil lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and the other five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any extra oil with them,

There’s a very important dimension to the second coming of Jesus Christ that we need to look at, that is the waiting period. This parable of the ten virgins as told by Jesus revolves around believers and not ordinary people outside the church. Now in the parable, these ten virgins believed therefore they waited expectantly for the return of the Master to be married to his church. They were like bridesmaids. The Bible observed through their actions that five was wise, the the remaining five was foolish. Their level of preparedness was what separated the wise from the foolish. “Five of them were foolish, and the other five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any extra oil with them,” Matthew 25:2-3.

In this kingdom race, the worst thing that can happen to anyone is a situation where one would think he had done the right things only to wake up by midnight when it has become late only to discover that his/her preparations were inadequate, and that he couldn’t borrow from any other person including their loved ones. This points to the fact that kingdom related issues are personal. To that extent, no one will be able to tap into the preparations of another to borrow or receive help. In the old testament, God commanded the children of Israeli to make sure they provided oil for Aaron to make sure the light in his temple doesn’t go off, Exodus 27:19. But in the new testament, we became the temple of God and our spirit as men became the lamp lights up or engine powers a man while the Holy Spirit carries the oil that fuels or lubricates the spirit of a man.

Now, we are to be very careful because there are no time to make mistakes and return in another life to correct such mistakes or have a second chance in this kingdom pursuits, because we have but one life to live. We have to work when it is day because night is coming, when no man can do any meaningful work. “While I am with you, it is daytime and we must do the works of God who sent me while the light shines. For there is coming a dark night when no one will be able to work. As long as I am with you my life is the light that pierces the world’s darkness.”” John 9:4-5 TPT. This is the right time to keep checking on our preparedness to make sure we have enough of the Spirit or oil whilst it is day, as we follow the master. On a very important note, we must not store our extra oil in leaking vessels. Men who stored their oil in leaking vessels, will discover at the last minute that they are in same category with the foolish virgins.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for giving me your Spirit to live by. Help me to pay attention to your Spirit, do that he can power my life. Help not to be careless in my walk with you. Thank you because by the help of your Spirit, I won’t be found wanting at your return in Jesus mighty name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic :Live Prepared.

Memory Verse : 1 Thessalonians 5:4. But you, brothers and sisters, are not in the darkness, and the Day should not take you by surprise like a thief.

Bible Reading : 1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 GNB. Key Verse : v2.

There is no need to write to you, brothers and sisters, about the times and occasions when these things will happen. For you yourselves know very well that the Day of the Lord will come as a thief comes at night. When people say, “Everything is quiet and safe,” then suddenly destruction will hit them! It will come as suddenly as the pains that come upon a woman in labour, and people will not escape.

In chapter 4 of Apostle Paul’s letter to the Thessalonian believers, he was teaching us how to relate with each other, walking in love and upholding high moral standards as people expecting the return of the Master. He was trying to let believers know that our kingdom sacrifices can’t be wasted even if we sleep in the Lord before his second coming. “There will be the shout of command, the archangel’s voice, the sound of God’s trumpet, and the Lord himself will come down from heaven. Those who have died believing in Christ will rise to life first; then we who are living at that time will be gathered up along with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. So then, encourage one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18.

In chapter 5, he began to teach us about the need to live prepared. As men, we would have loved to be given a specific date when Christ will return as some people tried to do in the past in their error. God who knows man better, he knew that if any date was given, every man will go his own way, at the last minute, the whole world will repent just to receive him knowing that he is a loving and forgiving God and creator. In his wisdom, we are to follow up things or updates from his presence as it relates to his 2nd coming through the channel of his Spirit in our personal walk with the master. One thing we are sure of is that it will be a sudden event that will come upon the people of the world just the way thieves or robbers appear to attack unannounced or suddenly.

As believers or people of God, it should not take ourselves unawares, if we are alive and awake in the spirit. Though the Lord will not give a specific date, but we should have idea or understanding of the season, just like the pregnant woman. The pregnant woman doesn’t know the particular date when her baby will be delivered, but at the same time, she will have idea of the season or period through some signs in her body as interpreted by herself, people taking care of her or physicians. Because she has idea of the period or season, she gets ready for her expected baby. Anytime labour comes, even if it’s by midnight, she and people taking care of her are prepared to respond appropriately. In like manner, when believers live sober and vigilant in the spirit, the Spirit of God at work in us will help get us ready just like physicians taking care of the pregnant woman. “All of you are people who belong to the light, who belong to the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, we should not be sleeping like the others; we should be awake and sober. It is at night that people sleep; it is at night that they get drunk. But we belong to the day, and we should be sober. We must wear faith and love as a breastplate, and our hope of salvation as a helmet. God did not choose us to suffer his anger, but to possess salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,” 1 Thessalonians 5:5-9.

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus because you are coming back again to take as well as reward your own. I pray today for grace to walk with your Spirit in vigilance and sobriety. Thank Holy Spirit for helping me live prepared in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic : Get Ready For His Coming.

Memory Verse: Revelation 22:13. I am the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

Bible Reading : Revelation 22:10-12 GNB. Key Verse: v12.

And he said to me, “Do not keep the prophetic words of this book a secret, because the time is near when all this will happen. Whoever is evil must go on doing evil, and whoever is filthy must go on being filthy; whoever is good must go on doing good, and whoever is holy must go on being holy.” “Listen!” says Jesus. “I am coming soon! I will bring my rewards with me, to give to each one according to what he has done.

We are living in the last days. The word of God is being fulfilled before our own eyes. Things that were written in the scriptures concerning the last days has left the pages of the Bible and are seen everywhere around us and in the news. Only the careful will take note of these. Many will dismiss them with the wave of their hands as normal occurances, but we know that they are pointers to how close we are to the second coming of our Lord Jesus. “Remember that there will be difficult times in the last days. People will be selfish, greedy, boastful, and conceited; they will be insulting, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, and irreligious; they will be unkind, merciless, slanderers, violent, and fierce; they will hate the good; they will be treacherous, reckless, and swollen with pride; they will love pleasure rather than God; they will hold to the outward form of our religion, but reject its real power. Keep away from such people.” 2 Timothy 3:1-5.

In Mathew chapter 24, Jesus took time to teach his early disciples including ourselves events that will mark the end of world and usher in his second coming. If you run a check on that chapter of the Bible, you will notice that everything he said that should happen before the day of his appearing are happening around us daily. What we are waiting for is the manifestations of v29 downwards when the sun and moon will cease from giving their light and the stars shall fall before he appears in sky to reap his harvest. ““Soon after the trouble of those days, the sun will grow dark, the moon will no longer shine, the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers in space will be driven from their courses. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky; and all the peoples of earth will weep as they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. The great trumpet will sound, and he will send out his angels to the four corners of the earth, and they will gather his chosen people from one end of the world to the other.” Matthew 24:29-31.

Now, we need to understand that the coming of Jesus Christ is nearer than ever before. We need to know that every ticking second brings us closer to this all important event. To that effect, he that is filthy should clean up and whoever that is involved in evil should make a u turn to do what is right. You are only permitted to continue or hold on to what you are doing if they are works of righteousness. In the main text, Jesus was speaking to us as the creator and owner of life. He began all things and therefore has the right to end it all. We must not loose focus on the reward. What keeps us moving in the midst of challenges is the assurance of reward. We are not wasting time, efforts or resources, everything we do for the kingdom counts. “As for us, we have this large crowd of witnesses round us. So then, let us rid ourselves of everything that gets in the way, and of the sin which holds on to us so tightly, and let us run with determination the race that lies before us. Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end. He did not give up because of the cross! On the contrary, because of the joy that was waiting for him, he thought nothing of the disgrace of dying on the cross, and he is now seated at the right-hand side of God’s throne.” Hebrews 12:1-2..

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus for coming to die to save my soul. Help me to take full advantage of everything you did for me. Help me to to live ready for your second coming. Keep me on the paths of truth and obedience to your word. Help me not to be found wanting on the last day in Jesus blessed name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic :Living Beyond The Ordinary.

Memory Verse : Ephesians 3:16. I ask God from the wealth of his glory to give you power through his Spirit to be strong in your inner selves,

Bible Reading : Ephesians 3:17-19 GNB. Key Verse : v17.

and I pray that Christ will make his home in your hearts through faith. I pray that you may have your roots and foundation in love, so that you, together with all God’s people, may have the power to understand how broad and long, how high and deep, is Christ’s love. Yes, may you come to know his love — although it can never be fully known — and so be completely filled with the very nature of God.

Apostle Paul had a burden to incubate the Ephesian believers including ourselves with Christ and his nature. The way the local fowl or bird sits on their eggs consistently, till ordinary eggs becomes a living bird, and changes to completely new formed, birds ready to start life. At this point, the mother fowl or bird cracks the eggs, so that the tender lives in them can start to experience expression and manifestation. “Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father sent me, so I send you.”:Then he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive people’s sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”” John 20:21.

The love of God for mankind is unfathomable, we keeping finding it out till eternity. This love is the foundation of his dealings with us. That’s the reason he could take our place in judgement seat and die for our sins to fulfill his own standard for righteousness. Christ submission to divine justice in our favour is one important testimony of the depth of the love he has for mankind. “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to be its judge, but to be its saviour. Those who believe in the Son are not judged; but those who do not believe have already been judged, because they have not believed in God’s only Son.” John 3:16-18.

Now, God’s plan is deeper than what we can know by our head knowledge. We can only only understand this love, as well as access the resources he made available to us for victorious living, when we are able to respond appropriately by deciding to love him back and pursue his glory instead of fantasies that lead nowhere. This is when we are able to understand the depths of his love that nade him give us his Spirit as a seal of ownership, so that we can be able to carry his nature in our spirit man here on earth. This is how ordinary men are able to receive divine strength, power or capacity inside of them that causes them to live extra ordinary lives on earth. They tap into that realm by revelation and through the channel of his indwelling Spirit by seeking God. “However, as the scripture says: “What no one ever saw or heard, what no one ever thought could happen, is the very thing God prepared for those who love him.” But it was to us that God made known his secret by means of his Spirit. The Spirit searches everything, even the hidden depths of God’s purposes. It is only the spirit within people that knows all about them; in the same way, only God’s Spirit knows all about God. We have not received this world’s spirit; instead, we have received the Spirit sent by God, so that we may know all that God has given us.” 1 Corinthians 2:9-12.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because you desire is that I be like you. Take me deeper into you. As I seek your face, give me deeper understanding of your love that ministers uncommon strength that changes ordinary men. From today, my life will never remain the same. I am empowered for extra ordinary living in Jesus wonderful name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic :Jesus Is God.

Memory Verse : Luke 5:25. At once the man got up in front of them all, took the bed he had been lying on, and went home, praising God.

Bible Reading : Luke 5:22-24 GNB. Key Verse : v24.

Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Why do you think such things? Is it easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’ I will prove to you, then, that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralysed man, “I tell you, get up, pick up your bed, and go home!”

Jesus Christ was teaching on this particular occasion and the building was overcrowded. The Pharisees, doctors of the law and other notable personalities of those days was physically present. As usual the anointing of God that heals and breaks yokes was present to rewrite ugly and negative stories on men. Some men who had a paralysed friend brought him on his bed for Jesus to minister healing to l him. “One day when Jesus was teaching, some Pharisees and teachers of the Law were sitting there who had come from every town in Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem. The power of the Lord was present for Jesus to heal the sick. Some men came carrying a paralysed man on a bed, and they tried to take him into the house and put him in front of Jesus.” Luke 5:17-18.

“Because of the crowd, however, they could find no way to take him in. So they carried him up on the roof, made an opening in the tiles, and let him down on his bed into the middle of the group in front of Jesus. When Jesus saw how much faith they had, he said to the man, “Your sins are forgiven, my friend.” The teachers of the Law and the Pharisees began to say to themselves, “Who is this man who speaks such blasphemy! God is the only one who can forgive sins!” Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Why do you think such things?” Luke 5:19-22.

Most of the people was seeing Jesus as a great prophet. They saw him as Joseph’s son, but never knew that Joseph had no hand in his conception, but co-operated with the Spirit or angel of God who told him in his dream that Mary didn’t play the whore, but was pregnant by the Spirit of God. Jesus therefore was God coming to the earth in the flesh. The informed audience of Jesus knew that only God Almighty had capacity to forgive sins. So that fact that he forgiving sins didn’t go down well with them. Another proof that Jesus is God that we can see in the main text, is his ability to read their mind or thoughts and respond to such without any exchange of words. This means that he knows all things. All God knows all things. At the word of Jesus, the paralytic stood up from the bed of sickness and went home sound, praising God.

Prayer: Thank Lord Jesus because you are God who came in the flesh so that you can redeem me from my sins. Thank you for shedding your blood to cover my sins. Thank you for forgiving me and washing my sins away with your blood. Thank you for making me the righteousness of God by grace. I will serve you forever in Jesus glorious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic : Manifesting The Nature Of God.

Memory Verse:1 John 4:11. Dear friends, if this is how God loved us, then we should love one another.

Bible Reading : 1 John 4:7-9 – 9 GNB. Key Verse : v9.

Dear friends, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Whoever loves is a child of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love. And God showed his love for us by sending his only Son into the world, so that we might have life through him.

In the letters of John, we have the instructions of an elder who had seen it all. This was the only Apostle whom they could not kill despite all attempts because of God’s agenda for his life and ministry. God preserved his life through unbelievable circumstances so that he could be given the book of Revelations. During that heavenly encounter, he was taken to the secret places of the almighty where he saw and heard things that he wasn’t permitted to share with mortal men. At the beginning of this chapter, he was telling us how to discern the spirit of error by their teachings and followership. There he made us understand the reason some people will never follow the pathway of truth. “Those false prophets speak about matters of the world, and the world listens to them because they belong to the world. But we belong to God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever does not belong to God does not listen to us. This, then, is how we can tell the difference between the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.” 1 John 4:5-6.

Finally he began to teach a very important dimension of discernment of the Spirit of truth which can be identified by passing the test of love. He tried to help us understand love properly from source. Now love is a predominant nature of God. We are called children of God because we bear his nature in our spirit, and that nature is all about sacrificial giving or care and not in any physical appearance. This love of God is revealed in our relationship with fellow men. “There is no fear in love; perfect love drives out all fear. So then, love has not been made perfect in anyone who is afraid, because fear has to do with punishment. We love because God first loved us. If we say we love God, but hate our brothers and sisters, we are liars. For people cannot love God, whom they have not seen, if they do not love their brothers and sisters, whom they have seen. The command that Christ has given us is this: all who love God must love their brother or sister also.” 1 John 4:18-21.

“I may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burnt — but if I have no love, this does me no good. Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail.” 1 Corinthians 13:3-7. As people go about in the name of celebrating love today, we must ask ourselves very important questions about our underlying intentions for going into relationships in the name of love. Many are there for selfish reasons, to use and dump and to take advantage of the vulnerable. Again we must note that as children of God, we don’t love on special days, rather we live to make sacrifices for the well being of people around us because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by his Spirit. The love of God gives generously without expecting anything in return. Such type of display of love attracts rewards from the almighty. “And now I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. If you have love for one another, then everyone will know that you are my disciples.”” John 13-34-35.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for loving me and coming to die on the cross to save me through your son Jesus Christ. Help me by your Spirit to be like you. Let your Spirit be at work in me to help love all men always just like yourself. Let my life be such that will draw many to you in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Topic :Create The Right Atmosphere.

Memory Verse:‭Luke 8:8. Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown.” When he said this, he called out, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”

Bible Reading : ‭‭Luke 8:5-7 NIV‬. Key Verse : v8.

“A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds ate it up. Some fell on rocky ground, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants.

The parable of the sower and the seed is a very important one because it addresses the response of men to the word of God we hear daily. It speaks about the condition of men who care to listen to God and his messengers as sent here on earth. Of course the earth is the field of the Lord as Jesus tried to explain to his disciples who came to him privately for deeper insight. On several occasions, Jesus referred to the earth as a field of harvest, ministers as labourers or workers while the word of God is seen in this context as a seed sown in the hearts of men. “As he saw the crowds, his heart was filled with pity for them, because they were worried and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. So he said to his disciples, “The harvest is large, but there are few workers to gather it in. Pray to the owner of the harvest that he will send out workers to gather in his harvest.”” Matthew 9:36-38.

‭”“This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.” Luke 8:11-15.

Today we can say that this three categories of individuals are in our churches. The wayside people if I should add to what Jesus said are very careless believers that approach God and things of the Spirit as not important since it may not give them physical cash to pay immediate bills. Because they don’t value things of the Spirit, the enemy keeps stealing from them. On the stony people, their minds are made up on what they believe or want to believe. They are not open to whole truth or moves of the Spirit of God in their lives and situations which makes it difficult for God to have his way in their lives and situations. Looking at the thorny ground, they are people who love the world so much that they can’t really surrender to the master. Their love for material things has overtaken them to a point that they can do anything to have or retain what the eyes of men can see. Now, we can see in all these that the problem is not with anybody else but the individual who receives the word. Our heart condition or the atmosphere we create for the Spirit and word of God intentionally, determines what the Lord is able to do in our lives. The word prospered on the good soil not by mistake, but because a conducive atmosphere was created by the person involved.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for sending me your word to transform me and meet me at the point of my need always. Let my heart and life be a fertile ground where your word will always prosper in Jesus wonderful name….. Amen 🙏🏿.
