Topic: Living To Encourage One Another.

Memory Verse: 2 Thessalonians 1:6. It is right and just for God to trouble your troublers

Bible Reading :2 Thessalonians 1:2-4 TPT. Key Verse: v5.

May God’s delightful grace and peace rest upon you. We feel a personal responsibility to continually be thanking God for you, our spiritual family, every time we pray. And we have every reason to do so because your faith is growing marvelously beyond measure. The unselfish love each of you share for one another is increasing and overflowing! We point to you as an example of unwavering faith for all the churches of God. We boast about how you continue to demonstrate unflinching endurance through all the persecutions and painful trials you are experiencing.

God designed his kingdom in a manner that nobody stands entirely alone. We are meant to live a kind of family or community life in the kingdom. That is to interdepend on each other. We are to live to encourage and intercede for one another in genuine brotherly love. Such encouragement and prayers can always be used by God to strengthen and stabilise our fellow pilgrims when they go through difficult seasons. “As a prisoner of the Lord, I plead with you to walk holy, in a way that is suitable to your high rank, given to you in your divine calling. With tender humility and quiet patience, always demonstrate gentleness and generous love toward one another, especially toward those who may try your patience.” Ephesians 4:1-2.

Now, it’s good to know that most of the troubles God permits us to pass through are used by him to reshape our lives for higher responsibilities in the kingdom. Some of them come as test that we must pass to be ushered into a new season on blessing and manifestation. If Joseph was not hated and persecuted, he would not have been sold into slavery. The brothers never knew that the place of slavery for him was necessary to bring out the prime minister in him. “And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence. And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt. Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.” Genesis 45:3-5 KJV.

In every trouble that God allow to come the way of the believer, there is always adequate provision of grace, peace and comfort to carry us through because of God’s integrity or faithfulness. On a very important note, we need to understand also that God does not only defend his own, he takes a step further to mete adequate judgment on as many as make themselves tools in the hands of the devil to trouble a child of God. “All of this proves that God’s judgment is always perfect and is intended to make you worthy of inheriting the kingdom of God, which is why you are going through these troubles. It is right and just for God to trouble your troublers and give rest to the troubled, both to you and to us, at the unveiling of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his messengers of power within a flame of fire.” 2 Thessalonians 1:5-7.

Prayer : Thank you Father God for encouraging me in times of trouble by your Spirit, so that I become an encouragement to other believers. Keep me from failing when I am being tried and help me to always love and encourage fellow believers in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Yearly Bible Reading : Romans 8:1-17.
