Bible Reading:‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭2:2‭-‬4‬ ‭NIV‬‬. Key Verse:v3.

“There is no one holy like the Lord; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God. “Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for the Lord is a God who knows, and by him deeds are weighed. “The bows of the warriors are broken, but those who stumbled are armed with strength.

In chapter one, we see Hannah the wife of Elkanah becoming an object of ridicule and mockery before Peninnah, who made her life hell because she had no child for their husband. When she couldn’t bear it any longer, she decided to take her matter to the judge of the whole universe. She went to God and poured out her heart in prayer and supplication in shilloh and before Eli the priest and God heard her. ‭‭”Do not take your servant for a wicked woman; I have been praying here out of my great anguish and grief.” Eli answered, “Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him.”
So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, “Because I asked the Lord for him.” So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, “Because I asked the Lord for him.”
1 Samuel‬ ‭1:26-17,20‬.

When she weaned Samuel, she returned him back to the Lord according to the vow that she made before the Lord concerning Samuel. She appeared in shilloh this time out of a heart of gratitud. Hannah was returning glory to God who showed her mercy and turned her life a around. The Lord gave her reason to rejoice. Now she could boldy confront her mockers and rejoice over them that made her life miserable in the past. ‭‭”But Samuel was ministering before the Lord—a boy wearing a linen ephod. Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, saying, “May the Lord give you children by this woman to take the place of the one she prayed for and gave to the Lord.” Then they would go home. And the Lord was gracious to Hannah; she gave birth to three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile, the boy Samuel grew up in the presence of the Lord. Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, saying, “May the Lord give you children by this woman to take the place of the one she prayed for and gave to the Lord.” Then they would go home. And the Lord was gracious to Hannah; she gave birth to three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile, the boy Samuel grew up in the presence of the Lord.”
1 Samuel‬ ‭2:18,20‭-‬21.

Today we have to learn to always run to God who is our last resort in difficult times, when we don’t know what else to do. Again when we make vows to the Lord, we must endeavour to redeem such vows. Some make vows to the Lord in difficult times, only to overlook such once their prayers are answered. After Hannah fulfilled her vow of giving Samuel to the work of God, the Lord gave her male and female children to keep for herself. On a final note, we must learn to celebrate God’s goodness in our lives. We have to declare his great and mighty works in our lives for others to hear and believe in him. Testimonies sometimes can be strong instruments of evangelism and soul winning.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for being faithful in every situation. Today I run to you in any area of my that had defied solution. Because you are sovereign, answer me this day just the way you answered Hannah. I vow to return all glory to you at last for every ansered prayers in Jesus wonderful name… Amen 🙏🏿.
