Topic :Getting Ready For His Second Coming.

Memory Verse: Matthew 24:14. And this Good News about the Kingdom will be preached through all the world for a witness to all nations; and then the end will come.

Bible Reading :Matthew 24:10-13 GNB. Key Verse : v13.

Many will give up their faith at that time; they will betray one another and hate one another. Then many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Such will be the spread of evil that many people’s love will grow cold. But whoever holds out to the end will be saved.

Earlier in chapter 24 of Mathew, Jesus had spoken of the fall of Jerusalem and destruction of the temple in the open. When he was having a private time with his disciples on Mount Olives, they came back to him for further explanation of the the things he had spoken of in the public space. ““Yes,” he said, “you may well look at all these. I tell you this: not a single stone here will be left in its place; every one of them will be thrown down.” As Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him in private. “Tell us when all this will be,” they asked, “and what will happen to show that it is the time for your coming and the end of the age.” Jesus answered, “Be on your guard, and do not let anyone deceive you.”” Matthew 24:2-4.

If you read carefully from v1 of theis Mathew 24 through to v31 where rapture took place, you will observe that all the signs Jesus mentioned in that chapter are no more in the Bible, but they are everywhere around us and in the news all over the world. This goes a long way to sensitise us that the second coming of Jesus Christ, the saviour of the universe is at hand. “For the trouble at that time will be far more terrible than any there has ever been, from the beginning of the world to this very day. Nor will there ever be anything like it again. But God has already reduced the number of days; had he not done so, nobody would survive. For the sake of his chosen people, however, God will reduce the days. “Then, if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or ‘There he is!’ — do not believe it.” Matthew 24:21-23.

Where many are confused is because of some misinterpretation in many quarters about rapture before the great tribulation. But Mathew captured it in clearly that there was no rapture, till after tribulations (trouble). The taking away of saints happened in the midst of the trouble we must note. We musttherefore be ready to lay down our lives for Jesus, if need be, if we really love and want to spend eternity with him. ““Soon after the trouble of those days, the sun will grow dark, the moon will no longer shine, the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers in space will be driven from their courses. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky; and all the peoples of earth will weep as they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. The great trumpet will sound, and he will send out his angels to the four corners of the earth, and they will gather his chosen people from one end of the world to the other.”” Matthew 24:29-31.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for giving me Jesus who died to save my soul. Help me to love you beyond limits. Keep me standing faithfully for you till the end no matter what comes my way in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
