Topic :The Lord Wants To Reset Your Life.
Memory Verse :Acts 3:5. So he looked at them, expecting to get something from them.
Bible Reading :Acts 3:1-3 GNB. Key Verse: v3.
One day Peter and John went to the Temple at three o’clock in the afternoon, the hour for prayer. There at the Beautiful Gate, as it was called, was a man who had been lame all his life. Every day he was carried to the gate to beg for money from the people who were going into the Temple. When he saw Peter and John going in, he begged them to give him something.
This time Peter and John was going into the temple to pray in the afternoon when they came in contact with this deformed young man whose family always kept at the entrance to the temple to beg for alms for survival. When he saw Peter and John, he was expectant to get some pieces of money from them. His circumstances had caged him so much that he never thought of getting out of that ugly situation that turned him into a perpetual begger for life. When the disciples asked him to look on us, he did so very very expectantly, not knowing that God on that day was upto something bigger than his expectations. “They looked straight at him, and Peter said, “Look at us!” So he looked at them, expecting to get something from them. But Peter said to him, “I have no money at all, but I give you what I have: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth I order you to get up and walk!”” Acts 3:4-6.
At this point he kept a confused gaze at them because he wasn’t expecting healing from them. They should have known that he was deformed and just needed money to take care of his basic needs. He had no plan to walk in his lifetime, having surrendered to the circumstances he found himself in. Peter had to hold him by his hand to lift him, because on his own, he wasn’t willing to make an attempt in faith. Suddenly he felt the power of God all over him and could stand on his feet. Not only that he stood, he began to do things he had never done in his lifetime, jumping, leaping, running and praising God out of excitement. “Then he took him by his right-hand and helped him up. At once the man’s feet and ankles became strong; he jumped up, stood on his feet, and started walking around. Then he went into the Temple with them, walking and jumping and praising God. The people there saw him walking and praising God,” Acts 3:7-9.
Today, the grace and power in Christ Jesus that helps men achieve the seemingly impossible or do what they never thought they could do in their lifetime is available here and for you. Jesus doesn’t just want you to pass through life and die helpless and hopeless, his will is that you have a good life here on earth. When he went to the cross, it was just because of you, he didn’t just only to save your soul, he also died so that you could be free from any form of limitations, where they are coming from notwithstanding. There was a case of a man born blind that Jesus healed. His disciples was busy as men trying to fathom who sinned that resulted in his predicament, but Jesus Christ was more focused on resetting his life and destiny. If you can look upto Jesus the healer and restorer of lost hope today, anything you can believe him for, he will certainly do for you, so that you give him glory. “they couldn’t stand the sight of food and were close to death. Then in their trouble they called to the Lord, and he saved them from their distress. He healed them with his command and saved them from the grave. They must thank the Lord for his constant love, for the wonderful things he did for them.” Psalms 107:18-21.
Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus because there’s no situation you can’t change. Thank you for dying to save my soul from destruction and to break every chain of limitations over my life and destiny. Today I trust you for a miracle in…….. (mention them). Thank you for this visitation and testimony in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
