Topic : Jesus Makes Men.

Memory Verse :Matthew 4:19. Jesus called out to them and said, “Come and follow me, and I will transform you into men who catch people for God.”

Bible Reading :Matthew 4:17-18,20 TPT. Key Verse : v19.

From that time on Jesus began to proclaim his message with these words: “Keep turning away from your sins and come back to God, for heaven’s kingdom realm is now accessible.” As he was walking by the shore of Lake Galilee, Jesus noticed two fishermen who were brothers. One was nicknamed Keefa (later called Peter), and the other was Andrew, his brother. Watching as they were casting their nets into the water, Immediately they dropped their nets and left everything behind to follow Jesus.

Jesus came to the earth to call men unto himself. He calls men to himself so that he can make them game and world changers. At this point of his encounter with Peter and resultant call, Peter had spent all his life transversing the seas as a professional making a living through fishing business. Jesus came into his life to upgrade him from catching ordinary fishes which were or less value to catching men whose souls were very precious before the Lord who created us. They were to spend time with the master, so that he could teach and transform their lives to become men that God could depend on to carry out his agenda on earth, after the master was able to help them understand his heartbeat and to flow in it. “Jesus said to him, “This shows that today life has come to you and your household, for you are a true son of Abraham. The Son of Man has come to seek out and to give life to those who are lost.”” Luke 19:9-10.

Another reason Jesus came to the earth is to deal with the root of the problem of man here on earth which is sin. Before sin came everything worked for man according to divine design. When sin crept in, man was disqualified from functioning in God’s original plan. Jesus had to come to our rescue to deliver man from the cancer of sin and it’s attendant consequences. When Joseph was contemplating ending it with Mary for getting pregnant outside their relationship, the Lord had to send an angel to explain what God was doing in the life of Mary, so that he could align with the Almighty. “While he was still debating with himself about what to do, he fell asleep and had a supernatural dream. An angel from the Lord appeared to him in clear light and said, “Joseph, descendant of David, don’t hesitate to take Mary into your home as your wife, because the power of the Holy Spirit has conceived a child in her womb. She will give birth to a son and you are to name him ‘Savior,’ for he is destined to give his life to save his people from their sins.” This happened so that what the Lord spoke through his prophet would come true: Listen! A virgin will be pregnant, she will give birth to a Son, and he will be known as “Emmanuel,” which means in Hebrew, “God became one of us.”” Matthew 1:20-23.

Today Jesus is calling us to be part of his family and kingdom here on earth. He has paid the price for sin with his blood. When we believe in him and the finished work of the cross, we stand redeemed from sin and it’s bondage. Not only that, we are also empowered by the Holy Spirit to live to continue the work Jesus began before returning to the father in heaven. When we embrace his plan for our lives, he transforms our lives beyond our imagination. That singular decision of Peter changed the direction of his life from obscurity to limelight. By the time he stood to defend the gospel they received at Pentecost, the result was there for all to see as about 3,000 souls was saved at a sweep. At the beautiful gate, the man born was shocked at what happened to him. He was looking for ordinary money and got healed of his deformation for life. “Continually more and more people believed in the Lord and were added to their number—great crowds of both men and women. In fact, when people knew Peter was going to walk by, they carried the sick out to the streets and laid them down on cots and mats, knowing the incredible power emanating from him would overshadow them and heal them.” Acts 5:14-15.

Prayer :Thank Lord Jesus because you died to pay for my sins so that I can can function in God’s family and kingdom. Thank you because when me follow you, you make them. Thank because you will make me as I live my life to serve you all my days in Jesus precious name….. Amen 🙏🏿.
