ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Friday September 13th, 2024.

Topic : A Return To The Lord.

Memory Verse :‭Isaiah 54:14. In righteousness you will be established: Tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you.

Bible Reading : ‭Isaiah 54:11-13 NIV‬. Key Verse: v11.

“Afflicted city, lashed by storms and not comforted, I will rebuild you with stones of turquoise, your foundations with lapis lazuli. I will make your battlements of rubies, your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones. All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.

The condition of the nations and people of God at any point in time depends on how they are able to identify and flow with God’s purpose. When men discover, agree with and walk in God’s plan for their lives the reap his favor which guarantees their safety, protection, prosperity and blessing. When they walk contrary, they open up themselves to all forms of attack and divine judgement. In the midst of all this, God’s love and commitment to the well being of man whom he created is never in doubt. This was revealed in full measure by his giving up of his son, to stand in for as many as will believe in him in our days, so that the punishment for sin which we deserved be born by him, so that ourselves can go free. In the old testament, the people of Israel was a type of role model in our relationship with God the way the church is today. They were chosen from among the nations as God’s first born or preferred people. They had a covenant relationship with him which began with Abraham the father of faith and made way for a better at the entrance of Jesus Christ to unfold a new covenant.

Here in the book of Isaiah we see God’s assurance for his children who returns to him from the paths of rebellion which provokes his wrath and cause men to labor under his judgment. Like the prodigal son that we read about in Luke 15:11-24. Though the prodigal son wasted his father’s resources in careless living, when he came to his senses and returned home, the father’s response was as if he never did anything wrong. The father was overjoyed to have him back home and alive. Even the prodigal son himself was amazed by the unexpected reception he got, even to the displeasure of his other brother. ‭”“To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again. Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.” Isaiah 54:9-10.

Today the Lord’s arms are open to receive as many as went astray to their own ways, who are willing to return to him. For such men, they are making a decision deep down in their hearts that they will turn a new leaf and do what is right always. Isaiah 54:14 stated clearly that our establishment in blessing and safety must stand on the grounds of righteousness in order to be firm and stand the test of time. That is key to our total restoration and recovery wherever we encountered losses in the past. That is when the Lord himself will begin to decorate our lives with stuffs that men run after daily without much struggle. When we are submitted to his Spirit, he will be there always for us with divine direction that makes our journey daily very rewarding. Because he is the prince of peace, he will flood our hearts with his peace that is not regulated by circumstances. “For your Maker is your husband— the Lord Almighty is his name— the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth. The Lord will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit— a wife who married young, only to be rejected,” says your God.

In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord your Redeemer.” Isaiah 54:5-6, 8.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because of your great love for me that made you give up Jesus to save me. I return to you afresh today from any paths I threaded in that didn’t glorify you. From today as I do what is right, restore and rebuild my life in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
