Topic : Nobody Can Stop God.

Memory Verse : Exodus 14:30. On that day the Lord saved the people of Israel from the Egyptians, and the Israelites saw them lying dead on the seashore.

Bible Reading : Exodus 14:27-29 GNB. Key Verse : v29.

So Moses held out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the water returned to its normal level. The Egyptians tried to escape from the water, but the Lord threw them into the sea. The water returned and covered the chariots, the drivers, and all the Egyptian army that had followed the Israelites into the sea; not one of them was left. But the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on both sides.

When God came to Egypt to lead the Israelites out of the land of bondage, so that they could serve him without encumbrances, it looked like a mission impossible at first. Even the people of Israel whom the Lord sent Moses to, initially saw it as suicidal as the activities of Moses stirred up the anger of Pharaoh king of Egypt who escalated their sufferings in wickedness, by increasing their burden for dreaming liberty in the first place. “We are given no straw, but we are still ordered to make bricks! And now we are being beaten. It is your people that are at fault.” The king answered, “You are lazy and don’t want to work, and that is why you ask me to let you go and offer sacrifices to the Lord. Now get back to work! You will not be given any straw, but you must still make the same number of bricks.”” Exodus 5:16-18.

Pharaoh had the liberty of behaving as if he was incharge as long God permitted him in order to demonstrate his power through Moses. At first the magicians of Egypt enjoyed duplicating the miracles and signs God did through Moses. Later God took that privilege away as they couldn’t duplicate, neither could they counter Moses and Aaron, but used unkept promises to buy time. The day the Lord determined to move his people out of Egypt, he only gave a simple instruction to his servant Moses. When it was executed, Pharaoh and the Egyptians released God’s people in a haste before they could think, because their lives was at stake. “That same night the king sent for Moses and Aaron and said, “Get out, you and your Israelites! Leave my country; go and worship the Lord, as you asked. Take your sheep, goats, and cattle, and leave. Also pray for a blessing on me.” The Egyptians urged the people to hurry and leave the country; they said, “We will all be dead if you don’t leave.”” Exodus 12:30-32.

When they came to the red sea and was being pursued by Pharaoh and his presidential guard, their faith was put to test. Pharaoh was out to recapture the people of God, feeling he made a mistake releasing them in first place; but that was his Waterloo. God proved himself in a historic manner by making a highway in the sea for his people to pass, while Pharaoh and his army perished trying to imitate grace. Today understand that no power or name is formidable enough to stop what God is doing or is about to do in your life. Never allow yourself to be intimidated by the red sea of challenges before you or enemies that are in hot pursuit behind, as if they have what it takes to stop God. Remember always that what you need to overcome daunting challenges are simple instructions from the master. Never forget that every unrepentant pursuer of yourself and anyone walking with God is marked for destruction. “For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” Romans 9:15-16 KJV.

Prayer : Thank you Father God because you rule over the affairs of men to glorify yourself. Thank you because no power can stop your sovereign self. Thank because you are making a way for me in unbelievable circumstances. I worship you because every stubborn pursuers must perish for my sake in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Yearly Bible Reading : Mark 12:28-37.
