ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.
Saturday April 19th, 2024.
Topic : Faithfulness.
Memory Verse : Luke 19:17. And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. KJV.
Bible Reading :Hebrews 3:2-4 TPT. Key Verse: v2.
For he was faithful to the Father who appointed him, in the same way that Moses was a model of faithfulness in what was entrusted to him. But Jesus is worthy to receive a much greater glory than Moses, for the one who builds a house deserves to be honored more than the house he builds. Every house is built by someone, but God is the Designer and Builder of all things
Our calling as believers was extended to us in trust from the father through the son Jesus Christ. This means that in our generation as in every other, God depends on us as his people to move his kingdom forward or make things work. We as believers should therefore see ourselves as men on whose shoulders the burden of kingdom affairs rest in our lifetime. Men always shape and reshape history anywhere in the world. We can’t therefore afford to fail God in whatever capacity he placed us to serve in his kingdom. For us to succeed, we have to look upto Jesus as our perfect example. “And so, dear brothers and sisters, you are now made holy, and each of you is invited to the feast of your heavenly calling. So fasten your thoughts fully onto Jesus, whom we embrace as our Apostle and King-Priest. For he was faithful to the Father who appointed him, in the same way that Moses was a model of faithfulness in what was entrusted to him.” Hebrews 3:1-2.
Faithfulness is a very important kingdom key that unlocks greatness. Jesus Christ and even Moses was able to fulfil God’s purpose for their lives because of their resolve to be faithful in carrying out divine assignment. In the case of Jesus Christ, he stood all through his earthly journey to fulfil the will of his father instead of his personal pleasure or comfort. At Gethsemane, the burden of going to cross was so real that he Jesus was tempted to back out, but the desire to stay faithful kept him in God’s will, Mathew 26:36-39. Coming to Moses, it was all about the people of Israel and not himself. At the point where God in his anger wanted to wipe away the entire people in the wilderness and make a new people out of himself, he refused to jump at it. Rather, he prefered to be blotted out of God’s book and plan instead of the entire Israel that provoked God to wrath. Deuteronomy 9:13-19.
Today, we need to learn that faithfulness in whatever God committed into our care is not only key to greatness, but also a very important factor that will help us enter his rest in whatever we are doing for God. Faithfulness is always a product of personal resolve. It involves consistency even when things seem not to be able to work. One factor that helps a man stay faithful even in unfavorable circumstances is faith. This type of faith is always a product of our ability to see into the future or hear the invisible. If the picture of tomorrow God is painting to you is what gives you extra strength to prevail over negativities that are intended to discourage you from holding on till victory. “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2 KJV.
Prayer :Thank you Father God for giving me Jesus who was faithful in everything. Like Jesus and Moses, plant your love and faith in me. Help me to be faithful in every of my kingdom services so that I can enter your rest in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
