Bible Reading :Mark 16:15-17 NIV. Key Verse : v16.
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
After Jesus arose from the dead, he prepared his disciples to continue the work he began before returning to heaven. This work is the singular reason he came to the earth as a man despite being divine. While he was here, he taught us how we can do this work of God. After he left, he sent us his Spirit to help us carry out his given assignment. When God was dealing with Joseph not to disengage Mary for being pregnant without their meeting, he made him understand that the child Mary was carrying waa by the power of the Holy Spirit and that his name shall be called Emmanuel (meaning God with us), because he will save their people from their sins. The primary assignment of Jesus on earth is to deliver men from the power of sin and destruction. ”She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).” Matthew 1:21-23.
Today, the primary assignment of every believer is to take the message of hope and salvation to all men everywhere around the world. When men hear this message, believe and is baptised, they are saved from sin and attendant condemnation. Every blessing God gives us on earth is to equip us to effectively carry out this God given assignment. We don’t need any title or special office to tell people about Jesus and the provision of salvation he made for ANYONE WHO BELIEVES. ”for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10:13-15.
We can’t afford to stay aloof while many are dying without Jesus Christ daily around us. They can’t hear, if we don’t preach. Men need to hear the good news in order to take the right decision, the Holy Spirit helping them with conviction. When we don’t obey or refuse to be used as God’s mouthpiece to reach others, we deny ourselves the privilege of seeing the power of God that authenticates the message of the cross at work in and through our personal lives. This power of God doesn’t only confirm the message we preach, on the other hand, it also works divine protection in the lives of the obedient. You will be surprised at what God can do though your humble self when you make yourself available to reach lost souls anywhere you find yourself with the true gospel. That is the way of fruitfulness in the kingdom. “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.” John 15:1-2.
Prayer : Thank you Father God for saving me from sin and eternal death. Thank you for sending me to my world win a message of hope . Help me to obey this your command to the best of my ability all my days. Let me bear fruits in you and let my fruits remain unto eternal victory in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
Yearly Bible Reading : 1 Kings 1:5-27.
