Bible Reading : Psalm 100:1-3 TPT. Key Verse : v3.
Lift up a great shout of joy to the Lord! Go ahead and do it—everyone, everywhere! As you serve him, be glad and worship him. Sing your way into his presence with joy! And realize what this really means— we have the privilege of worshiping the Lord our God. For he is our Creator and we belong to him. We are the people of his pleasure.
The God who created heaven and earth and all the inhabitants of the earth is an awesome king. He rules in every realm because all things came from him. He is the Spirit that created every other spirit being anywhere in the universe. His strength, love, goodness and mercies are unserchable. Most of the time as humans, we try to describe him based on the little experience of him our human mind is able to fathom. “Sing to God, sing praises to his name; prepare a way for him who rides on the clouds. His name is the Lord — be glad in his presence! God, who lives in his sacred Temple, cares for orphans and protects widows. He gives the lonely a home to live in and leads prisoners out into happy freedom, but rebels will have to live in a desolate land. O God, when you led your people, when you marched across the desert,” Psalms 68:4.-7 GNB.
We must see ourselves as privileged to be called by his mighty name. Redemption made us bonifide children of the living God and therefore members of his great family through Jesus Christ. This is the reason Apostle Paul could say that he bore the mark of the Lord. This means that he has an identity that is spiritual in nature traceable to the one whose genes we bear in our spirit man. We live therefore to behave like him and serve his purpose here on earth. One of the things we owe the Lord our creator is thanksgiving that opens the gates of his presence so that we can enter. “Sing praise to God; sing praise to our king! God is king over all the world; praise him with songs! God sits on his sacred throne; he rules over the nations. The rulers of the nations assemble with the people of the God of Abraham. More powerful than all armies is he; he rules supreme.” Psalms 47:6-9 GNB
Another thing we owe God this new year is praises that holds the key to his inner courts. This is where real spiritual worship takes place and not everyone that appears in God’s presence is able to access. Our worship is to be rendered with joy because we know that lives are touched or ministered to anytime we are able to break into the inner courts where deep divine transactions including transformation takes place. Men who knows how to access this realm are men who carry the aura of his presence and the power of the world to come. As people of his pasture, Jesus has become the shepherd of our souls. This means that daily we are to look upto him to direct our steps to the paths of safety, so that we can enjoy his goodness and provisions as birthright. “The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need. He lets me rest in fields of green grass and leads me to quiet pools of fresh water. He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right paths, as he has promised. Even if I go through the deepest darkness, I will not be afraid, Lord, for you are with me. Your shepherd’s rod and staff protect me.” Psalms 23:1-4.
Prayer : Thank you Father God for your love and mercies that is showered on me daily. I worship you because you created me to live to praise, worship and honour you. As I lift up my voice thanking, praising and worshipping you this season, decorate my life with awesome miracles in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
Yearly Bible Reading : Genesis 1 :-2:3.
