Topic :Wisdom For Accessing Divine Doors.

Memory Verse : 1 Corinthians 16:12. Now, about our brother Apollos. I’ve tried hard to convince him to come visit you with the other brothers, but it’s simply not the right time for him now. But don’t worry, he’ll come when he has the opportunity.

Bible Reading :1 Corinthians 16:7-9 TPT. Key Verse : v9.

For it’s not my desire to just see you in passing, but I would like to spend some time with you if the Lord permits. Regardless, I will remain in Ephesus until the feast of Pentecost. There’s an amazing door of opportunity standing wide open for me to minister here, even though there are many who oppose and stand against me.

Apostle Paul here was giving series of instructions to the brethren in Corinth trying to conclude his first letter to them addressing issues raised among them as a growing Christian community or church. Today our focus is going to be on his statement in verses 5-9 where he began to inform them of his desire to visit many places where the Lord had opened doors of ministry unto him. He longed to visit believers in different cities and locations including themselves with a desire to spend some time with them, if the Lord permits. This is to let us know that as children of God, we have to bring our desires, plans, moves and projects under the control of the Spirit of God, if we must always have best results all the time. ‭”Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; [6] in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. Proverbs 3:5-7 NIV‬.

Another important fact contained in this part of the instructions of Apostle Paul that I want us to look at more closely is that every doors opened by the Lord is always subject to divine timing. We have to make sure always that we develop capacity within to discern or understand the moves of the Spirit upon our lives including his timing. In doing this, we must make sure that we put our trust completely in his leading and not what our senses is saying. In doing this we have to live with the mindset of bringing glory and honour to God in all we do. This is key to dousing every pressure to impress men which may lead anyone to being in a haste just like king Saul. In 1 Samuel 13:8-14, we can see that following divine timing is key to establishing God’s plan in the lives of his people. Saul missed it by being in a haste while trying to please men.

Again we must note that every move of God in our lives attracts some level of opposition from the enemy. Therefore another beauty of observing divine timing when God opens doors for us is that our patience is key to silencing every enemies or opposition, no matter the shape they take and how formidable they may appear. Because everything God does in the lives of his people attracts the attention of the enemy who will try his best to raise obstacles. The key to overcoming such obstacles as raised by the enemy is in our waiting prayerfully till him that opened the doors takes care of every little forces trying to stand on his way in carrying out his plan for his faithful servants. “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” Hebrews 10:35-36 KJV.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because when you open doors, no power has what it takes to shut them. I thank you for every doors you have opened for my lifting. Help me to take advantage of your Spirit and your wisdom and get the best of every of these doors in Jesus wonderful name….. Amen 🙏🏿.

Yearly Bible Reading : Galatians 5 :13-26.
