Topic : Go For Divine Instructions.

Memory Verse : For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8:14 KJV.

Bible Reading : ‭Joshua 6:2-4 NIV‬. Key Verse : v2.

Then the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men. March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets.

At this point in time, the mantle of leadership of the people of Israel who had left Egypt by the mighty hand of the Lord had fallen on Joshua, after the demise of Moses. After they crossed Jordan on foot as on dry land because the Lord parted the waters, as they followed divine instructions, the nations around including the people of Jericho were in great fear of the people of God. The people of Jericho on their part took some extra security measures to keep the people of God from having access to their city. They made sure nobody could come in or go out to avoid infiltration knowing how fortified the walls of their city was.

Now, the Captain of the Lord appeared to Joshua and gave him specific instructions on how to go about the conquest of Jericho. He wanted Joshua not to focus of the fortification, complications and thickness of this wall that was historic in size. Rather, all they needed to prevail was to follow divine instructions carefully as given them by the Lord. ‭”March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, everyone straight in.”” Joshua 6:3-5.

“On the seventh day, they got up at daybreak and marched around the city seven times in the same manner, except that on that day they circled the city seven times. The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the army, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the city! The city and all that is in it are to be devoted to the Lord. Only Rahab the prostitute and all who are with her in her house shall be spared, because she hid the spies we sent.” Joshua 6:15-17. Joshua followed the instructions of the Captain of the Lord to the later. For seven good days, they patiently laid a siege over Jericho and went round once a day in silence, taking charge in the spirit. As they finished the assignment of the 7th day, blew the trumpets and raised their voices in shouts of victory even when nothing seemed have happened, the fortified historic walls of Jericho went down flat before them. This season, don’t just fight with your head knowledge and human expertise because we are full of limitations. Go to the Lord for specific instructions for specific and strategic battles. The realm of sons are the realm of impact. Only those who spend time to seek and follow divine instructions will get the best of it.

Prayer : Thank you Father God for you can never loose any battle. From today, as I seek your face, open me up to instructions that will make difficult things easy in my life starting from today. Thank you for giving me victory in every prolonged battle in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
