Memory Verse :Proverbs 18:15 The spiritually hungry are always ready to learn more, for their hearts are eager to discover new truths.

Bible Reading :Proverbs 18:10-12 TPT Keys Verse : v11.

The character of God is a tower of strength, for the lovers of God delight to run into his heart and be exalted on high. The rich, in their conceit, imagine that their wealth is enough to protect them. It becomes their confidence in a day of trouble. A man’s heart is the proudest when his downfall is nearest, for he won’t see glory until the Lord sees humility.

The book of proverbs is one that teaches us timeless wisdom. There is an earthly wisdom that operates with our senses which is not enough to guarantee anyone a successful earthly journey. This is because the battles of life sometimes are beyond what our human senses can comprehend or handle. That is where God and the owner spirit realm comes to bear. Naturally money and riches are a defense to a very large extent in life that they can solve almost every problems of man. We don’t have to be lazy therefore, but work as God grants us grace to be blessed materially. “When someone is too lazy to repair his roof, it will leak, and the house will fall in. Feasting makes you happy and wine cheers you up, but you can’t have either without money. Don’t criticize the king, even silently, and don’t criticize the rich, even in the privacy of your bedroom. A bird might carry the message and tell them what you said.” Ecclesiastes 10:18-20.

But when we have acquired riches and wealth, we don’t have to put our mind on them, but God who enables us to have such. In every success story of any sincere man, there is always a God factor. This means that they were able to attain some enviable heights because God showed up and blessed their labour with uncommon results. For this and other reasons, we don’t put our confidence in life therefore on material things neither should we live for the singular purpose of pursuing them, but we should keep our hearts with the one who created all things, who is also the giver of wealth and riches. This will help us use such blessings of God to serve his rightful purposes in our lifetime. I want to believe that many God have blessed will regret when they meet God at last because they didn’t use such to serve the purpose for which God make them custodians of such in their lifetime. “This is what I will do,’ he told himself; ‘I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, where I will store my corn and all my other goods. Then I will say to myself, Lucky man! You have all the good things you need for many years. Take life easy, eat, drink, and enjoy yourself!’ But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night you will have to give up your life; then who will get all these things you have kept for yourself?’ ”” Luke 12:18-20.

Jesus told this parable about one whom the Bible referred to as a rich fool. God blessed this very man with an uncommon result in his harvest season as a farmer and he couldn’t see God all his achievements, neither did he care to know what God desired from him in the midst of success. Rather, he was full of himself and all his plan was centered around him from beginning to the end. He had no place for God, not to talk about his kingdom or righteousness. In the midst of his pride, ingratitude towards God and selfishness, God decided to take his life. “To be wise you must first have reverence for the Lord. If you know the Holy One, you have understanding. Wisdom will add years to your life. You are the one who will profit if you have wisdom, and if you reject it, you are the one who will suffer.” Proverbs 9:10-12. See Deuteronomy 8:18.

Prayer : Thank you Father God for it is you that gives me power to achieve in this life. When you have blessed and made me live in my dreams, let me use every resources you make available to me in this life to humbly serve you. Let my life be a blessing to your kingdom in Jesus wonderful name… Amen 🙏🏿.
