Topic : You Are Not Forsaken.

Memory Verse :Isaiah 43:4. I will give up whole nations to save your life, because you are precious to me and because I love you and give you honour.

Bible Reading : Isaiah 43:1-3 GNB. Key Verse : v2.

Israel, the Lord who created you says, “Do not be afraid — I will save you. I have called you by name — you are mine. When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you. When you pass through fire, you will not be burnt; the hard trials that come will not hurt you. For I am the Lord your God, the holy God of Israel, who saves you. I will give up Egypt to set you free; I will give up Ethiopia and Seba.

Most of the time the people of Israel chosen by God ran into trouble because they walked contrary the covenant as they failed to understand what God was doing on earth in their days out of misconception. They therefore failed to take advantage of the one God had sent to deliver them from their spiritual blindness and predicaments because to them, he didn’t look like it. Jesus the son of Mary and Joseph in the flesh, who was born in a manger didn’t look like their type of saviour. Not only that, his mode of operations even while on his earthly assignment didn’t look like one who could deliver them. They missed it mostly because they were looking for a political deliverer when God was out to build a new and spiritual kingdom for himself here on earth. “The Lord says, “Listen, you deaf people!     Look closely, you that are blind! Is anyone more blind than my servant, more deaf than the messenger I send? Israel, you have seen so much, but what has it meant to you? You have ears to hear with, but what have you really heard?” The Lord is a God who is eager to save, so he exalted his laws and teachings, and he wanted his people to honour them.” Isaiah 42:18-21.

But the love God has for mankind is always stronger than his wrath, he will always remember his mercies as a compassionate father. God never abandon his own. Even in the midst of trouble and despair, he will always be there to pick us up. He doesn’t correct to destroy, rather he corrects in order to restore us to himself. “But now I am happy — not because I made you sad, but because your sadness made you change your ways. That sadness was used by God, and so we caused you no harm. For the sadness that is used by God brings a change of heart that leads to salvation — and there is no regret in that! But sadness that is merely human causes death. See what God did with this sadness of yours: how earnest it has made you, how eager to prove your innocence! Such indignation, such alarm, such feelings, such devotion, such readiness to punish wrongdoing! You have shown yourselves to be without fault in the whole matter.” 2 Corinthians 7:9-11.

For as many as are going through trouble because of their mistakes or factors they cannot even explain. The Lord is telling you that he never abandons his own. Let this truth settle down in your mind. All he desires is that we return to him in repentance where we need to do so. He doesn’t say what he won’t do. You are of much value before him, therefore your deliverance from your predicament is not negotiable. The Lord is risen with the love and jealousy of a father to defend and deliver you. God is saying that he will deliver you at all cost, even it means people going for your sake. “Do not be afraid — I am with you! “From the distant east and the farthest west, I will bring your people home. I will tell the north to let them go and the south not to hold them back. Let my people return from distant lands, from every part of the world. They are my own people,     and I created them to bring me glory.” Isaiah 43:5-7.

Prayer :Thank you Father God because you will never forsake your own. Have mercy on me in anyway I was the cause of my own troubles. Arise in your jealousy of a father and deliver me from men that are stronger than me. Thank you for being always there for me in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
