Bible Reading : Romans 5:2-4 TPT. Key Verse : v3.
Our faith guarantees us permanent access into this marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God. What incredible joy bursts forth within us as we keep on celebrating our hope of experiencing God’s glory! But that’s not all! Even in times of trouble we have a joyful confidence, knowing that our pressures will develop in us patient endurance. And patient endurance will refine our character, and proven character leads us back to hope.
Maturity in the faith can be seen in the way we behave, speak and even respond to situations. One of the ways we can manifest maturity is in our patience level in times of delay and trials of faith. Every man’s faith must be tried at one point in life or another. Sometimes it can come in the form of unexpected delays. At this point we need tie our hope on what God does or has promised to do and that keeps us moving. Hope is always a component of faith, they always exist alongside each other to do a complete work. Patience is key to making the promises of God real in the lives of men. “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” Hebrews 10:35-36 KJV.
Another quality of we display as mature believers is that we rejoice in the Lord unconditionally. Every one can rejoice when things go their way. In the case of the believer his confidence in God, his plan and intentions in every situation is never in doubt. He has understanding that all things are working out good report in his favour, though it may not seem so from the initial look of things. This understanding helps his heart to be at peace and rest in the midst of daunting challenges because he is sure of what the Lord is upto in his life. ” But I am still full of confidence, because I know whom I have trusted, and I am sure that he is able to keep safe until that Day what he has entrusted to me. Hold firmly to the true words that I taught you, as the example for you to follow, and remain in the faith and love that are ours in union with Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 1:12-13 GNB.
Joy is a very important key that makes the strength of the Lord available to us anytime we need it. There is need for us to guard our joy as much we guard our faith and every other thing that matters in our relationship with the Lord. “Now go home and have a feast. Share your and wine with those who haven’t enough. Today is holy to our Lord, so don’t be sad. The joy that the Lord gives you will make you strong.” The Levites went about calming the people and telling them not to be sad on such a holy day. So all the people went home and ate and drank joyfully and shared what they had with others, because they understood what had been read to them.” LORD. Nehemiah 8:10-12.GNB.
Prayer :Thank you Father God for giving me your Spirit to help me in my earthly journey with you. Help me to walk with you with joy and patience, even in difficult times. Thank you because no man walking with you fails in life in Jesus precious name….. Amen 🙏🏿.
