Topic : Your Case Will Be Different.
Memory Verse : John 11:26. And the one who lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
Bible Reading : John 11:23-25 TPT. Key Verse : v25.
Jesus told her, “Your brother will rise and live.” She replied, “Yes, I know he will rise with everyone else on resurrection day.” “Martha,” Jesus said, “You don’t have to wait until then. I am the Resurrection, and I am Life Eternal. Anyone who clings to me in faith, even though he dies, will live forever.
The resurrection of Lazarus from the dead was a landmark miracle that made many believe in Jesus Christ. The Bible recorded that Jesus and Lazarus/his family had a very close relationship. Because of that, when Lazarus was sick and dying they sent a message to him, to see if he could be of help. “In the village of Bethany there was a man named Lazarus, and his sisters, Mary and Martha. Mary was the one who would anoint Jesus’ feet with costly perfume and dry his feet with her long hair. One day Lazarus became very sick to the point of death. So his sisters sent a message to Jesus, “Lord, our brother Lazarus, the one you love, is very sick. Please come!” When he heard this, he said, “This sickness will not end in death for Lazarus, but will bring glory and praise to God. This will reveal the greatness of the Son of God by what takes place.” John 11:1-4.
Jesus delayed for about three days from when he got the message before he could start his journey to Bethany to see the one he loved. By the time he arrived bethany, Lazarus was dead and buried for about four good days, which made the situation hopeless before all men. On arrival, Martha was the first to know that he was around and she ran to meet the master. When Martha met Jesus, she acknowledged that if Jesus had come on time, his brother must have lived. Then Jesus began to tell her that Lazarus will live again, which she didn’t understand where Jesus was going as she thought that it was all about resurrecting on the last day. At this point in time, they knew Jesus was the Messiah and they had seen him work miracles, but they couldn’t imagine that a man dead and buried for about four days could resurrect from the dead. Jesus had to try to show them a new dimension of his divinity. That is the dimension of being a creator and the life giving Spirit that gives life to every living soul. “Through him God made all things; not one thing in all creation was made without him. The Word was the source of life, and this life brought light to humanity.” John 1:3-4 GNB.
At the end of the day, Jesus the creator and life giver didn’t need too much explanations, but called Lazarus whose situation looked hopeless before all men back to life. He came out of the grave on his own and lived again at the command of the Lord and to the amazement of all. Today just like Lazarus and his family, you need to understand that your relationship with Jesus Christ secures you and everything you have. Because he is the creator, he can always create anything you desire by your own spoken words and in his name, whatsoever that is good the enemy thought they destroyed in your life shall be restored. This means that your own case will always be different. The implication of all this is that nothing good can die in your hands because of Jesus Christ who has become your friend and life companion by the help of his Spirit residing and at work in you. “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43:2 NIV.
Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus because your presence in my life makes all the difference. Thank you because nothing good shall die in my hands. Thank you because what stops other men in my lifetime won’t be able to stop me. I worship you because my own case will always be different in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
Yearly Bible Reading : John 1:35-51.
