Topic : Doing The Work Of God.

Memory Verse: Ephesians 1:20. that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted him to the place of highest honor and supreme authority in the heavenly realm!

Bible Reading :John 14:12-14 TPT. Key Verse: v12.

“I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows me in faith, believing in me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with my Father! For I will do whatever you ask me to do when you ask me in my name. And that is how the Son will show what the Father is really like and bring glory to him. Ask me anything in my name, and I will do it for you!”

It is God’s will that we that follow Jesus be like him in everything. That is the reason we follow him in the first place, so that he can change us just the way he changed the lives of men of old who followed him. He told
Peter after the draught, “follow me and I will make you…..”. This means that when me follows Jesus, as creator of all, he makes or remakes them. We are not permitted therefore to remain the way we used to be in everything we do after we have encountered or met Christ. There must be some evidence, proofs or impact he leaves on us that even the blind should be able to see. When Peter followed him, the impact was made very visible on the day of Pentecost. When the Holy Spirit was given, the impact drew the attention of many, who accused the disciples of being drunk very early in the morning. Peter who was afraid before then, was bold enough under the influence of the Spirit of God to defend the gospel and preach a message that got about 3,000 men into the kingdom on the spot without any modern address system.

That became the turning point of the life and ministry of Apostle Peter. From that day, he began to do things he couldn’t have done by his ability as a man. The Bible recorded in Acts chapter 3 how he healed the man begging for alms on their to pray. ‭”Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God.” Acts 3:6-8 NIV‬. The hand of God was strong in the life of John that men to wonder because he wasn’t even educated.

Today we need to learn that we have been given all it takes to make a difference in our lifetime, just like these great men of old that followed Jesus. The Holy Spirit given to us when we met Christ is a deposit of God in us. He is there to help us operate beyond the limitations of ordinary men. Whatever we saw Christ do while he was on earth, we can duplicate even today in stronger terms because he has left the space for us to occupy and operate on his behalf. We are his representatives here on earth. Men that knew us before we met him, need to testify about visible changes he has brought into our lives. This is possible because we are seated with him in the place of rulership and authority. He is is depending on us to get much accomplished in our days. The Holy Spirit will always be there to help and guide us. “So when that day comes, you will know that I am living in the Father and that you are one with me, for I will be living in you. Those who truly love me are those who obey my commands. Whoever passionately loves me will be passionately loved by my Father. And I will passionately love you in return and will manifest my life within you.” John 14:20-21.

Prayer : Thank you Lord Jesus for calling me out of the world to follow and serve you in my generation. Thank you for giving me your Spirit to help me live and be accomplished just like yourself. Thank you for opening me up to new dimensions of mighty acts of God by the help of your Spirit given to me in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
