Topic : Depend On The Master.

Memory Verse : Psalm 33:17.Human strength and the weapons of man are false hopes for victory; they may seem mighty but they will always disappoint.

Bible Reading :Psalm 33:18-20 TPT. Key Verse : v20.

The eyes of the Lord are upon even the weakest worshipers who love him— those who wait in hope and expectation for the strong, steady love of God. God will deliver them from death, even the certain death of famine, with no one to help. The Lord alone is our radiant hope and we trust in him with all our hearts. His wrap-around presence will strengthen us.

I read an article the other day about success and the testimony of a particular individual which included the story of his rise from quandry to riches and wealth. The author was trying to draw a conclusion that some people had worked hard in life just like same individual, done the right thing all their lives, yet they couldn’t get that far. The efforts they seem to have made in life doesn’t really reflect the way it should in the results they can boast of. When I finished reading that write up, I knew that the author was making sense in his wisdom. Now, I want us to understand that in every success story in this life, there’s always a God factor. This means that it is good to do the right things always and work hard. But we must also realise that it is God that raises the head of men or that lifts men in due season. There’s an increase or divine multiplication that no truthful man can adequately explain that comes from God. “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.” 1 Corinthians 3:6-7 KJV.

Wise men who desires to succeed in life makes Jesus their friend because he is God that created all things and has control over all he created. They cultivate a love relationship with him. Through unrelenting worship, they endear themselves to his heart. They don’t depend solely on what they can do in life, rather they learn to lean on him who gives men power not only to live for him, but also to make wealth too. They don’t put their hope in men who can always change their position on any issue in the face of adversity or based on circumstances they find themselves in. The love such men of understanding has for Jesus makes them obey his commands. To such men, the instructions of the master becomes laws that must be obeyed and with joy too because they are sure that they are meant to preserve the righteous. “To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.” Psalms 33:19-21 KJV.

Today and forever, in every battles you face, remember that you need the mercy and presence of the almighty to prevail. Everything we can do as men cannot work, except God be with us. The best equipments and even preparations can disappoint any man or people who fails to give God his rightful first place in their lives. We have to fix our eyes on him, even when we encounter difficulties on our paths. The Lord will always help those whose hope and trust stay with him. His presence will always build a shield or wall of protection around them and all they commit to the able care of Jesus our king. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.” Psalms 46:1-3 KJV.

Prayer :Thank you Lord Jesus because no man following you fails in life. Today, I confess my love and loyalty to you afresh. My eyes are fixed on you always. Take your rightful place in all I do. Thank you because with you on my side, I will always prevail in every battles of life in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
