Topic : Be A Different Man.

Memory Verse :Genesis 6:8. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Bible Reading :Genesis 6:5-7. Key Verse: v8.

And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

The good book said that there’s nothing new under the sun. Whatever that is, is what had been in the past and from what we see now, we can have idea of what tomorrow will look like. One of my teachers in secondary school used to re-echo this much those days because of the youthful pride in and love of some students for flimsy things, especially for fashion which tries to enter their heads. He wanted us to understand that the things we tasted and used as youths that made some people not to concentrate on their studies, were used by themselves in their own youthful days too. The only difference is that some of these things keeps being updated or modermised somehow. In like manner good and wicked men had also existed along each other as early enough as history can trace. The wickedness in the days of Noah was so high that God decided to end it with that generation.

At the same time a single man was different, his life wasn’t dainted with the wickedness that waa the order of his days. The life he lived pleased God and attracted grace of God that separates men for special favour in their lifetime. Noah was living in his own world in his days, he didn’t allow the wickedness of his generation to change him. I remember when God once sent to a man to warn him to repent. I didn’t know why but obeyed. After delivering the message God gave me to him, he pointed me to the wife and asked me to observe her neck. He was trying to let me know that he joined the bandwagon of wicked men as to protect himself and fight the enemies fighting himself and his family instead of running to the Lord for help. “Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD! Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.” Isaiah 31:1,3.

“But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.” Genesis 6:8-9. Some factors was responsible for the grace of God that appeared to Noah in a dark season in the history of mankind. The first factor was that Noah did his best to live a good or just life. He lived a life of integrity or better say he was perfect. Not only that, Noah sought after God his creator at a time many did otherwise till he developed a relationship with his maker. That relationship became so solid that God could confide in him of what he was about to do, as he decided to destroy the world of the days of Noah with flood. This relationship was key to the sharing of secrets of God with Noah and the salvation of himself, his family and other creatures that were preserved in the ark he built at the instructions of the Lord. Today, you can still stand out for Jesus and be a shining light in a dark world. You can be the man God is depending on to save a generation. If you can dare to develop and keep a relationship with the Spirit of God, there’s no limit to what blessing he can cause you to become in your lifetime. All you need is to dare to be different in the face of modernised high level corruption and wickedness.

Prayer :Thank you Father God for loving me and giving me Jesus to die to redeem me. Thank you for blotting my sins with your blood Jesus. Thank you for giving me your Spirit. Help me to live for and walk with you just like Noah in my generation. Let your grace and mercy separate me for great and mighty things in my lifetime, in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
