ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.
Thursday 21st December, 2023.
Topic : The Knowledge Of God That Elevates.
Memory Verse : Philippians 3:13. Of course, my brothers and sisters, I really do not think that I have already won it; the one thing I do, however, is to forget what is behind me and do my best to reach what is ahead.
Bible Reading : Philippians 3:10-13. Key Verse: v13.
All I want is to know Christ and to experience the power of his resurrection, to share in his sufferings and become like him in his death, in the hope that I myself will be raised from death to life. I do not claim that I have already succeeded or have already become perfect. I keep striving to win the prize for which Christ Jesus has already won me to himself.
The strength of every believer is dependent on the depth of his/her knowledge of God. Even in the regular world, knowledge is a very powerful tool in the hands of anyone that has such in any given field. The more you acquire knowledge in life in any given field of endeavour, the more value your are able to bring to the table when the chips are down. The greater the value you can deliver, the more reward you will be able to attract in life. Even in the kingdom of God, the more we know God by revelation and by relationship, the more our trust or confidence (faith) in him grows. At this point, you won’t be relating with God just on the basis of what someone told you about him or you read anywhere, but by personal tangible proofs of whom he is and what you are sure he does or can do, based on your personal testimony of him.
Apostle Paul was hungry zealous for God in a wrong direction. But his encounter with the master on his way to Damascus repositioned him. At this point he didn’t need any human persuasion. The things that happened between the time he encountered the true light of the world and became blind, so that he could follow divine instructions and be at a place where he could be cared for and ministered to, for a new him to emerge, were convincing enough to ignite an uncommon hunger for more of God’s glory in his life. He lived the rest of his life pursuing Jesus Christ who was more real than anything else he had known. The hunger he had for Jesus and all that goes with him was so strong that nothing else mattered more to him. That was key to the price he paid and uncommon revelations of God he is able to share with us today. “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6 KJV.
Today many lives are without direction simply because they are dependent on human intelligence and wisdom that can fail or disappoint when least expected. Many are building their lives based on human philosophy and earthly values that leads nowhere instead of their maker. The resultant effect is misplaced priority and a life without a clear direction. If we must have the type of results Apostle Paul had in his days, we have to embrace his type of mindset and life of total surrender, which was the secret that brought him as far as he was able to get. “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20.
Prayer :Thank you Father God for giving me Jesus. From today open me up to know Jesus by personal experience daily. Lord Jesus, help me by your Spirit to be like you. I desire to be a blessing in Jesus wonderful name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
Yearly Bible Reading : James 3:1-12.
