ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONALS.

Sunday 19th November, 2023.

Topic : Season Of Gratitude.

Memory Verse: 1 Chronicles 16:24. Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.

Bible Reading :1 Chronicles 16:20-23. Key Verse: v23.

And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people; He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes, Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.

After David built a tent and a resting place for the ark of the covenant, he organised the priests and brought the ark into the city of David with much fanfare, rejoicing and celebrations among the people. “So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God. And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD. And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.” 1 Chronicles 16:1-3.

His heart was full of gratitude to God for all his great works and preservative grace among the people of Israel through the wilderness. David appointed the priests to their duties and singers among them to praise the beauty of his holiness. David began to recount the goodness of the Lord in the life of his people.
“Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren. Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.” 1 Chronicles 16:7-11.

This season, we need to look at where we are now and remember where we came from, the things and processes the Lord passed us through. We must not forget the battles the Lord fought for us to get us where we are now. Some of us are like Jacob whose father inlaw was pursuing in anger to deal with him without his knowledge, but the Lord appeared to him for the sake of Jacob. “And it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob was fled. And he took his brethren with him, and pursued after him seven days’ journey; and they overtook him in the mount Gilead. And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night, and said unto him, Take heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.” Genesis 31:22-24. Some of us are where we are today because of many battles the Lord fought for us even in the secret. We therefore owe God appreciation. We have to make his good works in our lives known among the people.

Prayer : Thank you Father God for being there for me always in every situation. Thank you for every battles you fought for me, even when I didn’t know. I come to show appreciation for your goodness in my life. For everything you have done, I say thank you in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.

Yearly Bible Reading : Acts 28:15-31.
