ENTHRONEMENT ASSEMBLY DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Thursday 19th October, 2023.
Topic: God Will Not Forsake You.
Memory Verse: Isaiah 49:16. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
Bible Reading: Isaiah 49:13-15. Key Verse: v15.
Sing, O heavens; and be joyful O earth, and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
Trouble times are not comfortable times, neither are they pleasant times. Some challenges may appear so huge and seemingly insurmountable before our eyes as men. When God seems to delay our calculations as men, we are sometimes tempted to think that he doesn’t care much about our well-being daily. But the truth is that God can never be late in any situation. Rather he has a perfect time for everything he does in any life and situation. “Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;” Isaiah 49:8.
God’s commitment to our well being is constant, because we are his children. The tender love and care God has for his children are incomparable. His love for us and bonding experience with us is such that exist between a nursing mother and her sucking child. As a mother cares for her little baby unconditionally, so does God care for us, not really minding our weaknesses and failures as men. “But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.” Isaiah 49:14-16.
Today and always, we must not forget that the pains of every child of God are meant to birth our restimonies. When it’s gets stronger, know that your testimony of victory is lurking around ready to manifest in the physical.”Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the LORD, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee, as a bride doeth. For thy waste and thy desolate places, and the land of thy destruction, shall even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away. The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.” Isaiah 49:18-20.
Prayer: Thank Father God for your unconditional love and care for me. When am going through challenges, let me always feel the warmth of your embrace and let your voice of comfort, instructions and direction be there for me always. Thank you for coming through for me daily in Jesus precious name…. Amen 🙏🏿.
